OMG i have been doing it to my turtle neck sweater from years, didnt knoew why it worked, also i was confused if i have hourglass body or pear shaped your other video cleared it for me, amazing❤
Great tips. I also have little waist definition. If I need to take in the volume on something oversized, I use a belt the same color as the dress, etc., so that it gives shape to the garment, without overemphasizing the fact that my waist isn’t very trim. Highly contrasting belts only draw unwanted attention to my thick waist, and the low-contrast ones give a nice, classy look to the outfit, so that it doesn’t look over-accessorized if also wearing jewelry or a scarf.
Oooh I LOVE those brown pants!! You look great in everything! Thanks so much for these videos! Can never find good fashion videos for petite women. Now I have found my go to girl for advice!

I'm so glad I found you. You are great and your advice is some of the best I've heard. You make it so easy to understand. And you have made me feel ok about my body.
i bought a pair of high-waist bootleg Spanx dress pants and wow, the difference in the thickness of the fabric is amazing! i've had similar styles of pants before but with thinner material, lower rise as well, and the thinner dress pants now just don't look good on me. the Spanx one, wow! same goes for jeans/denim. the thicker the fabric, the better it looks
can confirm on the russian design dress! i invested in one (magenta) for my brother's wedding, but i didn't know it had a name it is the most expensive dress i have even gotten, but it is totally worth it.
I used to have dresses in t-shirt material that had elasticized waists and full, flowing skirts. They were wonderful. Adding a nice belt made them look amazing. I miss them!
Thank you so much! I am gonna do all of this!!😅 I am not huge, but I do have a little bit of a belly!! Not saying bigger people are ugly. All bodys are beautiful, remember that!!
I also like to wear a push-up bra to camouflage my belly, but I am so self conscious. I've had 3 children, and diabetes has caused some weight gain I've been trying to get rid of. The struggle is real.
that violet dress fits you better, because it has a better (for you) waist line and a type of skirt that "hides" half of your belly. :) so, it`s not so much about fabrics here. but in general, - yes, a bit "thicker" material (than a completely thin one) usually fits better. it`s just some clothing makers economize too much on the quality of materials, and we, poor girlies :), have to pay attention to it.
Heyyy loving your videos just watching & taking it all in they are so informative & helpful Can’t stop watching 😂💖 Love your white basic cami just resting exactly where the trousers start. Where is it from?
Congrats Chi, excellent video. Your videos are VERY HELPFUL I find you just 3 weeks ago and I learn many things about pettite that I didn't Know I was one of them. However, now that I know it; it make sense why clothing didn't fit right on me most of the time. 🤨 Thanks a lot ⚘
Loving all the tips. I just discovered the t-shirt fabric fiasco a few days ago. Got a new dress on a beautiful color but felt so shapeless 🥺, never doing that again.
You are so full of terrific information! I'm a 5 ft apple shape with long torso. I struggle to find clothes that fit. Since the low and mid rise jeans have been in style, I've really been missing the higher rise in jeans. I love them!
I wish you were my personal Stylist! You are THE best! Thank you for all the wonderful videos. It made me realize I have been dressing my body type totally wrong for most of my life.
Hi thank you for telling us what brand your wearing so I,portent as we like your taste in clothes but didn’t know what brand or stores yo go to. Thank you for telling us 👗💃🏾🍰☕️💵
Chi, do you ever consult for wardrobe revamping or shopping consults? I want to have someone help evaluate my wardrobe to add key missing pieces and create outfits for each season. I'm eager to minimize and simplify!
I found the best camouflage for heavy hips and thighs was boot cut jeans. They slim around the knee, which is the thinner portion, and they are the best. Now that I’ve lost a lot of weight, thank you keto which, for some reason made me lose a lot of that hip fat I’ve carried my entire life, I am enjoying the wider leg pants as they look dressy. I’m not sure if keto made me lose the hip weight or that in combination with being post-menopause changed my hormones. I’m finding the weight what little I have left is really clinging to my belly though lol I never had a big belly my whole life I was a “pear” shape
Another Fab video . So agree , Ruching is my favourite designs of all . I look for ruching in dresses and tops . I made a video about ruching . It’s so forgiving .
Thank you! Many advices are well known for many years. The red dress is actually sliming, if you just wear Spanx under, because of A-shape and two vertical lines. It's the same same shape as a purple one, but purple is more sliming because it's a darker color.
Genius tips that every woman who wishes to look smaller should know. When I was younger I was very skinny naturally and I dressed completely differently to how I do now that my metabolism is shot :)
I think you turorials for us petitte ladies are really super well explained!👌 All so clear! Learned a lot! My thanks for that🤗 I have an hourglass figure and have also seen your tutorial on that... Top! Love many of your clothes, especially love the purple dress! This one looks great on you and think for an hourglass figure this dress will also look great. I do have a question for you. The gray pants with wide legs (at 7.56) of which material is this made? I make clothes, just as a hobby. I like comfortable clothes for myself and the fabric should definitely have some structure and your gray pants have that. May I ask you what fabric these pants are made of? Thank you in advance!! And also many thanx for your wonderful tutorials! 👌👍 Groetjes uit België 😙

Hi Chi!! I love watching and learning so much from your videos. We’ve moved to a colder climate so I’m trying to keep myself warmer. The V, U, square neck lines all suit me with the cardigan that you’ve mentioned.. the only thing is my neck gets cold 🥶 😂 just wondering what can I do in this instance? Thank you Chi 🙌🙏
For whoever might be reading this, this is what I do. I still wear a V, U and square neck line for my monochrome colored inside clothes. However, after I put my coat on, I tie a winter scarf on my neck and leave the ends hanging down, with one end laying on top of the other. If my coat is open the scarf provides the long column of color but still keeps my neck warm. If my coat is buttoned I leave the top 2 buttons open and make sure the scarf is showing well at the neck. I try to match the color of the scarf to my inside clothes so everything is cohesive. The scarf provides a pop of color near my face and it draws people"s eyes up. My coat is black and my gloves are black with fur around the wrists. I have learned so much from Chi, but I have a lot more to learn. Petite Dressing makes it so easy to learn and very enjoyable.

@@charlottesanders3265 You are probably correct. Maybe it could get to them on a subconscious level, though, to help them when they get a bit older?
