We love Lisbon and Portugal. I'm not a really a meat eater but I bet the garlic, onions and wine simmering smells good. We hope to be going back to Lisbon and Porto very soon.
I just came back from Madeira and I can confirm that Portuguese food is so tasty. I am sure the dishes in the mainland are different like this one. I haven't heard of duck rice before. I would call it bacon, duck sausage rice :P Mindi is so serious when she is chopping the vegetable :)
I was in Lisbon for a years and I love this dish the most. Since I got back to my home country, I can’t find any restaurant or anyone who knows how to make this dish. So I decided to looked on google and cook this dish by my own😍 thanks for the video, it reminds me of the good old days.
In essence, if you can find the ingredients, the dish is relatively simple to make. The awesome Chouriço here (Portugal) and also the relatively inexpensive ducks found here make all the difference.
Hands down my favorite dish from our two holidays to Lisbon. Thank you for sharing this wonderful experience and recipe with us! I'll be attempting to make this tomorrow as a surprise dinner for my husband to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary. We adore Portugal, it's beautiful people, the history and vibrant culture. You've found yourselves a new subscriber 😊😊😊 Wish me luck 🤞🤞🤞

You know, I was thinking the same thing about the bacon, duck, sausage rice! Either way, it was really tasty.
