@@RustydriftRC Hello Rusty and hola Antonio! Nice video there. I found the transmission here in Germany but just realized, that there is no diff in it. Since I´m quite new in this "sport" I´m wondering how it will work. Probably this is the better choice than just upgrading to a metall diff. from ECX. I bought an used but very good and original Torment 2wd last year and then broke the brushed motor, the axles and now probably the diff or some plastic pinions. I put in an 3660 Surpass Hobby brushless Motor an ESC and was running 3S. Thanks for the video and for advices :)
@@franciscoduran3688 Thanks. Yes it should be much stronger than the stock transmission. Not having a diff will cause it to handle different on high grip surfaces like pavement. (It might want to tip or roll if the tires don't slip a bit when you are turning). It should be great on dirt though.
I know its been awhile since you posted this, but, how is it holding up? Did having the locked diff cause any other issues? I picked one up, but, im also thinking of finding a ball diff that will work with that transmission housing, if i can figure out the gear pitch. On the one i got, the spur was locked tight. Is it supposed to be that way?
I'm using it as a drag car, so not having a dog is ok. For regular bashing, it will affect the handling a bit, especially on pavement. On loose surfaces, it should be fine
Yes. This should work on any 1/10 ECX 2WD truck. The Ruckus and the torment use the same chassis, so this should work. The amp uses the Circuit chassis, but should also work.

Awesome thanks man. I ordered the plastic one since it was cheap so I'm going to use your method. I don't have the bent rods I have the straight ones. Would those work?
Yes, but I also put a larger motor in it. This transmission alone won't affect to speed that much. Top speed will depend mostly on the final drive ratio. The spur and pinion combo you choose will make a big difference.
Hard to say. Depends on the motor and application, speed runs, drag racing, bashing? Probably start with stock size spur and maybe 2 or 3 teeth more on the pinion. Adjust up or down from there depending on speed/ and motor temps.
I'm about to buy the torment in two weeks. This is great info to watch.
Nice to see someone working on the Torment... I think its a totally under rated rig and great alternative to traxxas slash... Nice vid 👍
I love my Torment, it's been a great truck and taken a lot of abuse.

Thanks! It should certainly handle a decent brushless, only downside is the lack of a differential, but probably not much of a problem.

The straight to ends should work. The pivot balls should allow you to still position the rod at an angle.
