In green day songs, especially old ones, they make sure you can hear the bass. (its louder than the guitar at some times) Thats probably why it was so loud

We taped this episode of Conan's show and watched this performance over and over and bought the CD, which wasn't really anything new, but had super catchy songs on it. Little did anyone know this band would have such longevity and success!

Because the current trend (or at least since the very early 2000s) is all about over produced albums, auto-tune, flash how much cash you got and excess excess excess, lol. There are good rock bands out there, but it is just not in the mainstream anymore.
PunxNotDead Even Prince said the golden age of music was the 60s - 80s. I'm not that huge of a fan of him...but that guy has mad talent. He is also pretty smart when it comes to the finances and logistics of the music industry.
