@@izzey0729 I think it has a lot to do with them hitting it big just as nirvana was ending. two bands who were the real deal, I think that's what it came to in the early 90s, real music came back. I do somehow wish kurt got to see or have knowledge of them.

At the end of the footage they played 25 seconds of "SHE" another single from Dookie. Sadly this show always cut the final song 'cause i don't think they played it again on TV. Excellent as always buddy!

@@sackyboy03 It's true, live performances during the Warning era are actually criminally underrated. It's a shame though, because in a lot of ways they played their 90s songs best during that tour. They'd got some practice over years, so everything was a little more refined, but still while maintaining the 90s energy. My favourite Welcome To Paradise live performance is from "Live without Warning" so also from the Warning live era... I just think Billie's guitar work is the best on that one and the mix is fairly solid too!
That's the first time I saw him. I was just a little kid flipping through the channels. I would never stop on MTV but that video was so striking it caught my attention.
I'm still waiting for John Stewart to have these guys on the Daily Show. Partly bc I want him to comment about how they've barely aged in the past 30 years and he really looks his age

Wearing the exact same clothes as Basket Case video (although they recolored Mike's clothes as orange in that)....this was the real Green Day before they eyeliner makeup and autotune...what have they become...
Mike has the harmonies spot on in this video
I always realized that, mike in the majority of their performances it is too low.

Wow! One of the best Welcome To Paradise TV performances I’ve ever seen! The harmonies and sound are perfect!
Agree, fantastic performance
This is the best performance of welcome to paradise imo
My all time favourite Green Day song. Epic.

There's a reason this video has zero dislikes after 6 years.
Aw man, I just noticed that and that just FUCKING AWESOME. This is really one of their greatest songs, a true composition.
And some dipshit disliked it, probably just to spite you
