The size is a major selling point for me, i'd always been put off in the past about the size and weight considering how much other gear we already tend to lug around these days. If i end up fishing somewhere that allows bait boats and i fancied trying one out, i would definitely look to one of this size.
Thanks for the info for this bait boat i do like the function of the anker and the top loading function compared to my Gowi osprey but my osprey does have have a 500 meter range and sonar which will give it a stronger signal plus there's 900 spots you can program in or replace but it did cost more and is bigger i do like the fact that the osprey has everything on the handset screen which does make it easier but still the problem of bright sunlight though like i said i do like the functions size and price of this one though thanks for the comprehensive review on this one though simon 👍
I agree with most of your points, but when it comes to traditional bait boats, having 900 spots isn’t necessarily an advantage. What I really love about the Mini is the memo function, which allows you to record anything you want at your spots, and it can save an unlimited number of them. When you return to the same lake the following year, all your data is right there at a glance. Maybe I’m not great at remembering things, but this feature is incredibly useful to me.
Thanks for the video. Good demonstration of its functionality. A couple of points I would have like to heard about was any fees for the apps? and is it good in an ocean environment? Other than that for me great job! Thanks 🙏🏻 for doing the video!
Great video. I’ve not used a boat in 14 years but have just got a catch x pro with hydrobat. Is there any chance you could please do a video showing setting it all up and marking spots. I’ve found the instructions abit confusing and don’t really fancy spending hours on the bank trying to get it to work as I don’t get to fish often. Many thanks in advance.
Great review of the boat and its features - I am considering this boat. I currently use the Boatman Actor Plus Compass but it lets a lot of water into the hopper and I like to use PVA bags, so the bag melts in the hopper making the boat unusable with PVA bags. Does water get into the CatchX Mini hopper while it's travelling on the lake? Thanks.
Hello Simon, I’ve got the catch x pro with hydrobat, I can’t seem to contact the boat and hydrobat to my phone at the same time , any chance you could do a pice on that boat on how to connect it all ect ? Cheers Jim
I haven't heard of that one until your comment but I agree they do look the same. Although this one has GPS and some other additions that make it a better boat in my opinion
Same shell, but updated electronics, new motors and of course the GPS. Handset had Bluetooth and WiFi for phone connection so it’s ready to work alongside Deeper if required.
Doesn't matter the size of lake you're on there are always spots you can only reach with a boat like under trees on an island etc as stated in the video.
I really like it, the look of it reminds me of an 80’s toy i had as a kid.
It's a great bit of kit mate 👍
Excellent, informative video. Thank you very much for posting. I was all but set on an ND2 boat but i might have to investigate this one now.

Looks like a great piece of kit!! 💚
I really like it so far 👌
Great video for what looks like a very good product. If you have time, please do another review once you've used it on a few sessions. Thanks.

What accuracy can you expect from the gps? 2ft, 3ft 4ft etc? Looked like the home point changed by a few feet each time.

No fees on the apps as far as I'm aware and I definitely wouldn't put it in the sea! Salt water would ruin it!

Nice one pal great video 👌🏻👌🏻
Nice bit of kit from what I can see
I like it so far especially the small size and weight it makes me feel like I've forgotten to bring it 😂

No the hopper is a fair bit above the water I've used bags without a problem mate 👍
@@SimonDewCarpFishing Great. Thanks Simon.
Great vlog how much is the boat
There's a link in the description for the website and a discount code for £50 off I believe you can get it for around £700 with the code 👍

Sensible size , doesn’t resemble a small cross channel ferry
It's perfect for my short sessions and smaller waters I often fish
How to catch fish at such long distance?
Problem is my barrow bag is filled with beer 😂
😂😂😂Mine too 😉
£750 is a lot of money for something I may not use all season
It’s just the intrepid that’s been out for years

Not a very big lake,.totally u necessary.
The lake is not important in this blog his just showing what it does fella.
