Can't comment enough, Absolutely Perfect in every way.. My father passed away recently we're and burying him today 😢 will be emotional for most but i feel im at piece with it now after spending the majority of my lifetime sat next to him on the avon, seven, trent, ribble, tame.. And many other small tributarys rivers 😊 this video confirms this and a genuinely nice gesture that all good things come to an end respectfully.. Thanks Nash, thanks Alan and all the team for cheering me up. ❤🙏
@@jameslynch5879 hang in there James.. It's not easy man, things change when dad's not around but it'll be ok mate 👍 make sure to keep angling as this is our connection to all the amazing times we've spent with these great men.
I just read your comment. I was going to say well done to Alan and the rest of the Nash team but I can't just put that after reading your comment. I lost my Dad a few years ago but still every time I go fishing I feel as if he's still there sat alongside me. Time is a great healer, I hope you're finding things a bit easier now. If you aren't then give it time. All my best wishes. Matt
A love letter to coarse fishing...Beautifully shot, as we've come to expect from Nash films, couldn't help but feel emotion when watching this. I'm not sure if that's due to the reminder of my youth, many decades ago, the romance of fishing the river with childhood friends or just the film highlighting the romance & beauty of angling in this country, something we've watched decline due to pollution and fish stocks seemingly drastically reduced...Whatever it is, Alan Blair does it again...He is without doubt, one of the most positive forces in British angling...
My local river is dead, pollution, Otter reintroduction, no longer dredging and many other factors. I fished the river since being a child and it's so sad to see. I was reminded two days ago when my pond was obliterated by Otters and killed all my little mates. The nearest stretch is two miles away so they ventured and were hungry. Not the Otters fault as they have young ones to feed. Anyway, my point is, it's wonderful to see somebody and a river so vibrant. Brilliant film from all participants. Got me thinking I should maybe fight and get others to get the Suffolk Stour back to how it was. Thank you.
I am Hampshire born and breed so loved watching that. It was actually very emotional to see the river, the countryside and of course the fish. This is one of the best quintessential British angling films made for a long time. Amazingly well done. Congratulations to the Nash team 👏👏
When we hear the term within sport "generational talent" its a term that is used lightly as these special people only come around once in peoples lifetimes, alan and some others at nash mainly kevin, need the recognition of what they do within our sport and country to a degree of what some of the others within uk sport get! What these guys do not just for fishing but the love of our waterways, the countryside and all wildlife within is without doubt second to none! You wouldnt see some of the top overpaid sportsment in the limelight every day of the week promoting what alan and kev have preached for years now. So for me personally thank you and a huge hats off to you all that make us realise what we have in our lives as a sport or hobbie is very very special no matter where you go fishing!
The series we have all wanted Nash to do. Love all the films you guys produce. Urban banks , euro banks to the treks across Europe with Dan , Henry and Jacob. But you just can't beat that old school look and feel to a film. You guys have nailed it. Thank you for letting us come on the journey simply timeless Just stunning camera work. Big ups Alan and the team.
i know alan is class at what he dose but can we all just take a moment and appreciate the time and effort for the film crue what they have done to capture this beauty and brilliant editing work for us to enjoy absolutely smashed it lads
I only fly fish this river, literally around the corner in and further up in Amesbury... mainly trout, grayling, and pike, amazing river it is! I'm pleased to see such a stunning video from places I visit on a weekly basis. Thank you, Alan and the team for such a masterpiece!
i’ve said it before, Alan is the modern day john Wilson he is literally amazing to watch and takes his angling to the next level! the camera work and editing is l so good we need a whole series of this stuff !! well done Nash best fishing video i’ve seen for a long time
Finally Nash put the end credits on for the extra hero’s of these amazing films. Respect where respect is due. But ultimate respect to Alan for bringing these beautiful films to us❤ Now of to watch part 1 & 2 again 😊 Thank you Nash.
Just wow! Hats off to everybody involved! I have seen loads of fishing films, work in the angling industry nearly 25 years, have fished for over 40 years by now and still: I have never seen such perfection in an angling film. If you know anybody who does not understand what fishing is all about: Show him or her this piece of art and he or she will understand!
What an absolutely brilliant production! Alan = passion for angling. Carp or Roach, it doesn’t matter. He walks on a river and says, I can’t miss this opportunity to catch a perch, a chub, a grayling, a dace… on top of wanting to catch a river carp. It’s just amazing, and the enthusiasm is unrivalled. Hats off to you brother.
These have got to be the best films on UA-cam!!! Please make more films with Alan and John, their passion for angling in general is clear to see and the music sets helps set the emotional theme associated with such a powerful piece of filming.
I said in my comment on the first Borrowed Time that you have gained a new fan because you capture everything good bad average and unique about our sport. This 3rd chapter has only enhanced my respect for you. You completely strip fishing back to what its all about fishing for bites. I truly admire out and out carp anglers because of its difficulties and catching big carp is difficult. But the best carp anglers are the ones that fished for anything in any place with any tackle they could as children. I feel sorry for those that went straight into carp and carp alone because they have missed out on everything that you demonstrate in this film . Excellent again alan a bite alarm singing or bubbles around your float the feeling is the same. Top drawer.
And again...nash. you guys continually smash it out the park with these films! The cinematics the story telling...everything about this film is just brilliant! What a bunch of people man. I love this brand 👏
Personally this is one of the best fishing films I’ve every watched and believe me I’ve watched a few , the enthusiasm in your fishing is heartwarming , well done and what a river to 👍
For me this was shot & narrated perfectly, amazing cinematography, perfect background music, the whole package. Equally as enjoyable as the previous two in the series. Borrowed time is up there with some of the best fishing footage shot in recent years imo, along with some of dans personal fishing trips. nice to see a river so alive & flourishing. Great work Dan, Alan & whoever else was involved 🙌
That's how I started fishing with my uncle..cut my teeth on the Avon,Severn, and trent when I was about 7 or 8 over 40 years ago loved the rivers back then...great film alan brought back alot of good memories for me 👏👏
Brilliant, enjoyed every minute of it, and you're right river carp fishing is such a buzz. If only all our rivers were like Hampshire Avon, it'll be heaven on earth.
well one of the best put toeghter films i have had the pleasure of watching and Alan is one of the few insprational anglers who through out watching made me restart fishing again after Stopping due to a relationship that has now came to an end. and fishing is back in my life Alan Jhon and Graham from TA Fishing are the few anglers that are my dream too onew day meet
Another amazing installment of borrowed time Alan if anglers take nothing else from these videos other than having your kind of mind set they would become better anglers for it I know I have I've been angling now for over 50 odd years and have learnt a vast amount through your videos and your dedication and insight into your angling and I take my hat off to you may you carry on for a long long time big ❤ to you mate.
Best fishing film I’ve ever seen, If that didn’t make you emotional and nostalgic for how you started then you’re not a true angler. Amazing work to the nash team 👏🏻👏🏻
Know what, I'm 10 seconds in and captivated already.. These type of productions put goose bumps on my arms 🎉making dreams a reality is something only greatness can achieve. ®️👍

Alan drawing you in with his enthusiasm not just for carp fishing but all angling. It's infectious. Really enjoyed this one and well obviously what a stunning place as well.
Absolutely brilliant film, at the age of 65 when we were kids the Hampshire Avon was the talk of the town, every 12-year-old lad wish to be on it. Well done guys really enjoyed this.
