Why is judas priest so important? This is why: they can make such beautiful songs as Angel but also heavy ones like Painkiller. And both executed in the most superb way, full of emotion and intention. Love these guys.

"Here Come the Tears," the unforgetable "Beyond the Realms of Death," one of my favourites "BEFORE THE DAWN," "PRISONER OF YOUR EYES," "Night Comes Down" and "Turn On Your Light," a bit more rocky "Out in the Cold" and "Heart of a Lion," then "Night Comes Down," "A Touch of Evil," and even some newer tracks. Man! I hopep I didn't name too much!

Considering that the angel iconography is Lucifer I.e. on Sad Wongs cover, it's interesting that JP often have lyrics like this which have the angel save from sin and characters like Exciter and Painkiller which use the Christ like archetype, but portrayed by this angel character I.e. on painkiller cover. I know Priest are not thought of as an overtly satanic band, and they aren't as much as others (hence why accusations of them being satanic are met with ridicule). Howeverx that element is there, it's just sibtken this song is therefore similar to Sabbath's N.I.B.

I remember when this album came out. There had been a real drought and hadn't heard Priest in a long time. As soon as the first vocal played and I knew it was Rob Halford. I screamed and cranked the radio to max in my car. I was so happy. The album was new and I could tell it was going to be a classic.
This, and 'before the dawn' are two unforgettable ballads by Judas Priest. The amount of emotion in these songs are unbelievable. ❤️
Don't forget Beyond the realms of death and Dreamer Deceiver.

For me, Rob is not the greatest by chance. He is the greatest by his power, by his presence, by his beautiful spirit, by his magic and sympathy. Yeah, how can not I love this guy? I think they are gonna include this one in the setlist instead of Beyond The Realms Of Death. BTROD is a Glenn's song, his peak and his moment of the show. Without him it makes no sense.
Without Glenn though I highly doubt that it’s gonna be the same...
Look. No matter how I love Glenn, as far as performance is objectively concerned, I would rather see a younger (and equally capable I hope) guitarist than Glenn as a relic and a shadow of his former (unbeatable) self. It would be just sad to see a 70-year-old constantly struggling (even to stand straight) in order to blast those songs. Don't get me wrong but the last few years that's how I saw Glenn. Therefore, despite of the sadness imposed on me because of this awful health state, I was happy they actually chose to continue with a session guitarist chosen by Glenn HIMSELF. Trust me guys, Andy is not going to disappoint anyone. Of course it's not the same, but it will be a lot better than nothing, and in my honest opinion totally a better sight and experience than constantly wondering if Glenn is going to make it through the whole show. Both for the band, and the fans.

Just went to one of theirs last week with saxon and they played it. Incredibly beautiful
My 17 years old dog died yesterday. We had to euthanize her because she was really sick. She a had a tumor on her belly and she could barely see, walk and eat.
So to think of other things i listened to this album for the first time and when the song began, i could not stop thinking of her and started crying my heart out. I just made a tribute video of her with this song.

Rob Halford and Priest will one day be unveiled as the greatest metal band and singer ever.
As teenager I loved it cuz it was one of the best song I ever heard. But now someone with severe anxiety and depression due to working in Animal conservation and seeing or hearing the poor souls die almost everyday this songs soothes me like no other. Makes me feel relaxed.
