“You like it? Take it home” best rockhounding advice I’ve heard from anyone dude. 👌👍 different rocks speak to us each differently, Always great comin with ya on an expedition mM. Thank you for all your hard work in finding learning and sharing man.
I am pretty happy with the nice group of followers. The really cool thing is sometimes I bump into somebody during my travels who recognizes me from the videos.
LOL, I cut that fossilized boulder up 5 yrs ago. Got some killer fluorites and nice orange and deep red Sphalerite out of that!! Slim pickin there now due to the city relocated much of the rock for erosion prevention throughout the area.
At the 14:24 point of the video you picked up a specimen, I have found a few of the same specimen and have kept them . I'm going to do a video in the next day or two , since I am quite the rookie at rockhounding and I have a few specimens that I have no idea of what they may be . So I've decided to do a video called - Rockhounding - What On ( From Earth ) Do I have ?
I almost have tears in my eyes you two got me laughing so much. I'm in the same hole. I pick up a rock sometimes just because its there covered in dirt I get it home I think why did I just do that. Lol
When you put your video out would you let me know. I would love to see your afrs my late husbands term for my hobby rockhounding. Another f...ing rock lol he always made me laugh. Even though it would sound insulting if I said it he could be so funny. Probably because he said it with love in his voice. Sorry off target. Thanks for the laughs guys.😂☕💝
This looks good and we're heading that way in a few more weeks. But, is this city land or private, and what sort of permission or permit should we get before we go out on the rock piles to search?
As far as I know, it is owned by Niagara Parks Commission. I talked to one fellow, in one of their marked trucks, and he did not care if anyone rockhounds there. I have been there a few times and nobody else paid attention to me either. Across the road, is a different story - there are posted signs saying you cannot take material from that site. It seems that they post warnings where they don't want you to collect, and I respect that. Last time i was there was early spring 2017.
Damn i lost the video of Me Miner that i was watching . Its ok I'll run across it again. He found a real heavy silver rock. Ah man i had a joke too damn. I'm slipping,,,,,,yyeeaahhh.
That was a really windy day and I had to discard quite a bit of audio. I am now using a new camera for higher quality video (Canon M50) and improved audio through a directional mic.

Selenite. I look forward to your WTF video. I have many of those moments with rock identification too.
tess99991 I actually thought if naming my video - Rockhounding - WTF Do I have ? But I had to keep the title family friendly .
I actually have a couple of whole WTF rock gardens.

Is there any value or is just a hobby to pass time. If so what kind of value is there in rocks / crystal you were checking out
There is a collector value to good specimens. However, there are rules in Ontario regarding collecting for commercial purposes.
what is the price of that kind of rocks ?
Sorry, I have no idea.
Put a foam cover on that mic
