Mineral Collecting north of Madawaska - Canadian Rocks and Minerals
Вставка

- I visit a pegmatite quarry north of Madawaska for the purposes of collecting Canadian rocks and minerals, in particular feldspar, mica, allenite, zircon and fergusonite. As can be seen, mineral collecting in the north at abandoned mines is both a beautiful and lucrative experience.
As always, beautiful place with amazing rocks. Thank you for posting!
theyre minerals idiot
Nice i love Mika to so Nice and the Tine stof to.
Sorry for musical english.
Ima from Holland.
Great video Michael. Thanks for the education once again, I've learned a lot from you over the years. Really nice feldspars at that spot. I'll have to try and get there someday.
Great adventure lots of knowledge thank u
Love your videos
I love gem and minerals
Thank you!
Прекрасное занятие удачи!
I did not notice anything like that, but the translucence on the feldspar that I did show was hard to capture properly.
Very nice
Thank you for sharing... Very informative I hope your hands are better (not a very nice joke last time ) an i am sorry ....Cheers an thanks for sharing once again.
Yes - thanks, hands are better - lesson learned
Great video thanks for sharing. Did you happen to notice any pinfire Feldspar at all? Potential Sunstone? Some of those you picked up are amazing wow!
I find myself doing the same thin getting caught finding somthing else that takes up more time then before you know it.... its getting dark and you have yourself loaded down with rock.. thinking about the long hike back to the vehicle! awesome videos been watching for last couple years now!
Yeah, I made several attempts to leave which says the place needs a second visit.
There was also a marble mine, sodamite ....... camebrian shield.
ive been trying to find me a very large piece of mica but i cant find any anywhere i want a piece that's about 20 to 30 pounds.
Do you gold pan? Have you seen any super tiny yellow or pink diamonds about the size of a .05 mm for a big one? I keep fiding distinctly diamond shaped minerals with horizontally striated faces ,from a kimberlitic area in the adirondack mountains and just east of them.
Nice spot eh? Very hard to find fergusonite there. They are associated with the mica. Thanks for posting
I have a plan to re-visit soon - my aim will be to find a properly formed fergusonite crystal and possibly some zircon like yourself.
love your channel i would like to come and hang out for a week or to i am from north bay
so cool! Btw first!
That's a very cool place eh! Maybe next time you'll get your Fergusonite!! They are hard to find! Got a cool plate of Allanite though, nice!!
loved it.
What is the price of this rock??
Why have you deleted the newer video of dubuc mine ? :(
Bring a UV light there in the dark.
Hopefully i get to check that out before the snow starts to fall!
Be careful, the rock on the walls is very loose in places. I'm thinking I probably went to close at times.
TJ Mccoshen ok', :coy ftttu*
Concoidal fracture is signatory for quartz ,obsidian , other amorphous materials, ie glass. Strips of bootie about 1/2to3/4 of an inch usually indicates an earlier solutions.
Yea that might be columbium/tantalite, it can leave stains
The Nubble quarry in Maine has a similar appearance but the biotite can be partially altered to muscovite , interstitial beryl , tiny garnets .
It's nice to see your hands are better! Where is your partner??
Joe Russell, Massachusetts
gud2
Do you ever check the radiation level to make sure a rock hunting site is safe?
we should check radiation/metals/dessecrated blood cells from the planes they dump on us and the sun and not trust the weather channel :)
more uvb radiation, the stuff they spray destroyed the ozone layer and seperately makes u burn faster by reflecting more at you at once sometimes. south side of some trees already have bark burning off from the march sun. planned food shortage will be "caused by that"
