nice to think that once they're adults it'll be utterly un-remarkable for female makers to be a thing. no need for folks to be 'role models' just cool people making cool stuff
Your reviews are great. I am diehard QIDI fan have nothing but mostly positive remarks to say about the Plus4, Q1 Pro, and my Xsmart3. Support from QIDI is the best out there. The Q1 Pro and Xsmart3 have hundreds of hrs on them with the Q1 Pro having the most hrs which is used 90% time with chamber heater set at 55C and runs ABS. Both of these are my workhorses and they simply run non stop. They are highly reliable once once gets them tuned in on settings they just simply work amazingly well. I have been using QIDI studio in recent weeks, it is growing on me, have not had opportunity to try out Orca slicer yet. My Plus 4 has around 200hrs(mostly nylons and PET-CF engineering grade materials). It just got the updated heated chamber part which arrived week or two back installed. I love the 305mm build plate on this setup and print quality, speed, ease of use and setup is absolutely amazing. I can not be happier for price paid for the pLus4 and feature set; I do realize QIDI took some hits on Plus4 heated chamber hardware, rightfully so to some extent, but they fixed it and support is incredible. I know many other companies had their own production recalls like Bambu and many others, let's hope they continue to grow and learn because it benefits the community. Since I have been watching your channel you sold me on ABS, that is my new go to filament for projects which I do finish grade work on after the print. I learned many great tips from your channel. I have had nothing but great success with all the QIDI's in my small print shop, thinking may get another Plus4 in 2025 to double up on that size build plate. A hidden gem is the Xsmart3 for smaller parts, it does flawless ABS prints without a built in heated chamber, not sure where I am on hrs on that printer but it must be well over 500hrs of use. One thing I did find out, one does need a high quality bench for all modern 3d printers, hard to find quality furniture these days. Take the time to ensure your bench used is stable and does not move. I tested this theory by putting one of printers(Q1) on solid oak floor and was shocked at this vs cheap desk I had. The results on final prints were amazing.
Great vid mate! Was awesome to hear your takes on some of these prints, ideal targets. Was watching this as I chose a new printer after I got fed up with constant faults/breakdowns and replacement parts for my Ender 3.
I got out of 3-D printing for six years because I was so sick to death of messing with my printer… Bamboo was the first offering that made me even think about buying a printer and I cannot sign of good things about it and I have never had to adjust the z offset. The first layer is always perfect on these printers… At least that has been my experience. And I also love the fact that I don’t really have to screw around with the printer anymore.
I started out with a Creality 3 V3 SE. It was good enough to get me started in 3D printing. It didn't take long to realize that the V3 SE was *good*, but definitely not *great*..... I was constantly tweaking the z offset to get better adhesion, because the auto bed leveling leveled the bed okay, but the z offset was always too far off the build plate. I convinced my wife that 3D printing was going to be my retirement hobby, and I needed a better printer. I had a hard time choosing between the Prusa MK4 kit (I love building things) and the Bambu Labs X1 Carbon Combo. I decided the X1C was the better choice. It's been producing flawless prints for over a year now. I started out using Bambu Studio, but now use Orca Slicer due to the improvements and a few added features that Bambu Studio does not have, plus Orca has profiles for the V3 SE. I'm still using the V3 SE, but mainly for creating vases using vase mode with a 0.8 nozzle.
Thank you a lot for this video! It’s very interesting to see how these printers are working on the long run and with bigger projects. For me its a great shortcoming giving a review after only some printing hours. In reality you want to purchase a working printer for the long run. I honor all this work and sharing your personal opinion here! This is worth a lot for the community!
Yesterday I watched your video featuring a bambu labs A-1. My son recommended I get one, my grandson has one and my other grandson called to tell me they were on sale. I guess I was suppose to get one to replace my old “Ender 3” it was several years old and v e r y slooow. After I watched your video and all the encouragement from my family … I bought one. Now when it gets here I will need to learn to use it.
Creality K1 owner here. Creality is annoying they expect you to take the printer back to either where you got it or fill out their warranty card that comes with the printer which can also be used to send it back to them to be fixed at your expense. Also like you said their software (Creality Print) sucks. I switched to OrcaSlicer and never went back. Luckily my K1 has been all good, though I have already bought different feet for it as it moves around alot, these 3d printed feet help with the vibrations and the printer shaking around so much. The very best thing I have done to it so far is rooting it and installing custom software. Now it runs Moonraker, klipper and Fluidd which unlocks everything.
Wholly mackeral, I literally almost messaged you a day before you posted this video, asking how you were doing with the QIDI 3 MAX after 11 months of use. Thank you for this video. Very informative!!!
Great video, very refreshing that it doesn't seem biased like most channels. Great to see Qidi and even Creality get some love rather than only criticism.
In a few months, it’ll be a year since I bought my first printer on Black Friday-a Neptune 4-and about two weeks after that, I won a Creality KE. The KE is definitely my workhorse, and the only modification I’ve made was switching to a MicroSwiss Flowtech. During my first nozzle change, I broke the ceramic easily with very little pressure, and my immediate thought was, "Nope, what’s the upgrade?" At the time, I was trying PETG for the first time, and after swapping the nozzle, my results improved immediately, even before any tuning. A couple of months ago, I won a Creality SE (if only I had this kind of luck with the lottery!), and before it arrived, I had a MicroSwiss waiting for it. I’ve been using Orca Slicer all the way. I’ve also pre-ordered a K2+, which will be my first CoreXY printer.
Great comparative review. Especially since I know what you have been using them for in the past. Really enjoy your videos. So refreshingly different. Thanks for taking the time
I have the Ender 3 V3 Plus, and I run the spool from the top, without a PTFE tube. I have had no problems running the filament directly into the extruder. Spool3d has the spare hot end and other parts you may need for replacement,
For z offset, I print a single layer, getting it close by eye, then measure it's thickness with calipers to see how far off I am. Add/subtract as necessary, then I write the offset on the corresponding build plate. Since I started doing this I've never had to mess with z offset during a print.
We got Bambu Lab X1 Carbon Combo at work and they are amazing, super simple and the AMS box on top switches spools when filament runs out in the middle of the night. I Use eSun ABS+ that don't warp or crack. Super smooth finish, printed 10 rolls of it so far.
Great video. I am a big fan of the Qidi printers. I currently print with the Q1 Pro. I was going to pull the trigger on an A1, for the multicolor, but it looks like Qidi is coming out with an AMS first quarter of next year.
As a person who started printing this year with a ender 3 max 😂 I can’t wait to get a hold of a better printer! it’s honestly not been to bad of a printer for me, a couple issues here and there but the guy who owned it before me couldn’t get stuff to print from it, so I’m happy I was able to figure it out and get successful prints out of it I just can’t with the speed it’s super duper slow!!!
Very nicely summerised! As an owner of the X1 Carbon combo, I agree to all you say, really. I haven't tested the others, though, but your thoughts on them seem balanced enough. Thank you!
because i had a Bambu P1S lemon (damaged on first print then waited months for new parts) I wont go back to Bambu but had an Ender 3 and a anycubic and you made my decision to go back to the anycubic easier...thnx!
As all the rest of your videos, a great video!! Very informative. Thanks for sharing with us, I really enjoy all your videos and your fantastic work!!!!
I am finally looking to upgrade my Neptune 2 as I am starting to get a lot more requests for custom models and prints... All I have been seeing was to just buy a Bambu. I was just about to pull the trigger on one, but you have gotten me very interested in Qidi... On to more research!! Thank you.
i bought an anycubic kobra 2 neo for my first printer, bunch of learning curves. i found the slicer usable and had a lot of very very nice prints using anycubic slicer and that machine.
Great video. I have quite a few printers and my favorite is my k1. It is not perfect mind you but after a bit of modding and some slicer tunning it prints like a charm. It has over 1600 hours on it as well. I wish Creality would spend a bit more time on quality control though. I have quite a bit of experience and didn't mind modding mine as it was one of the cheapest entries to core xy at the time. They are getting better though. My SV06 and SV06 Plus don't get as much use now. And I have another printer (Anycubic kobra) that is so bad I am trying to forget about it. Lol. There are so many options now. It is amazing. The ones I am considering next are the Qidi Plus4 and the K2 Plus or the SV08. While Bambu is good I don't need another printer with a smaller build. The P1S is tempting but my K1 prints so well now I just can't justify it. I am happy to see your channel is growing. I see one of your last videos has over 1 million views. Congrats 👏. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦.
Hey just a quick hey. I’ve been watching your videos for a couple of days and really enjoy watching and listening to your insights. A foot sander? That seemed off at first then realized that’s the shit! Good job.
FYI If you Pre-heat the nozzle to the temp you print that product at it will release the filament and lets you pull it right out. Also pulling the filament out at the end of the print even if it's just out of the heat chamber will unlock the filament to ether replace it or reinsert it.
I started with Enders, disliked a bunch, went to Kobra 2 , now I'm replacing with Bambu machines. Have 12 machines total. 1 a1 mini, 4 A1's 1 P1S, rest are Kobra 2's and as they give me issues i will go to different machines. Thank you for non biased look at other machines.
Thanks for all the great information. I am leaning towards Bambu since I'm a beginner. I was originally looking at the A1 but now I'm thinking the P1S might be better. X1 might be a little too expensive for me.
I have a P1S, honestly the best machine I’ve owned. It just does its thing, no complaints and you can always add an AMS later on if you want to upgrade it. Also very hard to beat Bambu’s community focused ecosystem. Makerworld is very very good
Great video. Thx for that. Looking for 1st purchase. Are you concerned about humidity control? Was going to just get the A1 Mini but now looking at AMS. Then I hear that humidity is very important. Now I am thinking about the P1S w AMS so the filament stays dry. Now I am up to $750. Rabbit hole forming quickly. Apricate your feedback. Thx
As someone new to this space who got sucked in by the A1 Mini and it's price/performance ratio, I appreciate the run down. I'm not in the market for another printer yet, but I can already see that if I keep messing with this stuff I'll want a bigger print space and at least a practical multi-color option even if it's not something I use a ton.
I got both A1 and V3 Plus with the 300x300x330mm bed. Now they have almost the same price. The V3 plus is faster and gives better quality at faster prints. Also the larger print bed makes it a helmet class printer.
Im in a bad spot😅 i bought a artillery sidewinder x1 years ago- 300×300×400- and its been phenominal to this very day. Has ran BIG multi day prints at the very very top end of its heat range and speed endlessly for years with ZERO drama😢 but its time to get some of all that technology and 500+mm/s all these new printers are playing with. I dont know what to go with now. I (always) want to spend the smallest amount possible- I mostly do functional parts so I really want to keep a large build plate- but i also want something that can support the higher end/300c engineering filaments no problem. I havent even used a pla in years lol. That puts me in a spot that makes my wallet hurt looking at the options. Looks like the cheapest ones that KINDA fill some of those reqs are around the 500-700 mark. Ouch. And the qidi xmax 3 is even more but looks closest. Thanks for making this video, its helpful to have someone break down their experience with machines.
Amazing video! I’ve got a Qidi x-smart 3 as my main printer and it’s been working great. Have you heard that Qidi’s coming out with their own AMS system called the QidiBox? Apparently it’s compatible with their new Plus 4 printer, do you plan on getting it?
Great video, love your work. I’m running a Anycubic Kobra 2 plus and it’s been brilliant. Don’t know if you knew but the new Anycubic slicer is based on Orcaslicer. I used it today for the first time and it seems to be working great.
Fantastic video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I’m torn between the Bambu Lab A1 or QIDI Q1 Pro. I’m new to 3D printing but feel the ABS option will prove very useful in time. Just trying to make the best decision for my money up front 🤔
You might want to look into the Bambu Lab P1S. It is at a bit of a higher price point than the Q1/A1 but it would provide the absolute best of both worlds for you; Bambu’s extreme ease of use while still being an enclosed machine capable of printing ABS beautifully. Technically the A1 is capable of printing ABS, you’d just need to put it in some sort of enclosure to have the best chance of successful prints.
@@MMsPropShop Many thanks indeed 😊. I would say that colour printing would be my very least priority if at all.. I prefer airbrushing/spray painting etc for finishing. The abs aspect would be geared towards more practical uses as opposed decorative or creative projects. 👍🏼 The software and configuration would be no issue for me I’m sure 👌🏼
Watching this after purchasing my k1 max 5 minutes ago I was relieved to go to the spare parts section and find that they have updated their spare parts availability 😅
agree 100% I was a ender 3 v2 and pro fan for years but as soon I got the BL A1, well what can I say, Bambu is leaps ahead especially for the price. I'm now a slobbering bambu fan boy lololo
For the longest time I thought that my Elegoo Neptune 4 Max was just bad after a while because I had multiple failures only to realize that there are people out there who set up orca slicer profiles and they are fine-tuned to the machine. And if you add fuzz to your models it makes them look more professional also. At 0.3 - 0.3 on the orca other settings.
I’m all about the Qidi pro 4 right now especially with an ams unit slated for 2025. The pro 4 looks perfect, everything I’ve been waiting for in a printer.
A little late of a reply, but I don't think I'd ever order an exact replacement part directly from Creality. I'd go with Aliexpress or Amazon and do an inexpensive upgrade. I've got an Ender 5 and my experience has been that they're ones for tinkering. Not that that's a bad thing
Recently got the Creality k1 max and any problems I read about when it was first released thankfully are non existent for me, best quality prints I've ever had also being able to print the high temp filaments is fantastic.
Glad it’s been working well for you! The K1 series have always looked like a really interesting line of machines. I’ve got a K2 Plus ordered so I’m looking forward to being able to finally try out one of the enclosed Creality printers.
@@MMsPropShop I missed the Pre-order on the k2 so will have to wait for the inevitable price drop, the fact it's multicolour too makes it even more Interesting.
Bambu Lab does have a printer with an active heater in it... It just happens to be $1000 more than the X1C... The X1E is massively expensive to get that active heated chamber, but it's still there. Don't think that would change your ranking, though. Just thought I'd share ;)
Thank you for your commentary I really appreciate it and another thing. Damn! You will make a pretty Vulcan or Romulan in cosplay I love your eyebrows.
Great vídeo! Perhaps in the future you will have some Elegoo to compare with the Qidi and Anycubic. I have a Neptune 4 Pro and like it very much. I'll probably buy next the Elegoo Centauri or a Qidi printer.
You should review ankermake M5C (200 us). I have been though 4 3D printers over 5 years. This printer is OMG and out of the box up and running 16min (wow). The unit has auto leveling and supports different filaments. I would contact ankermake to get one you can review. I do not see using it for the scale of your projects, but after using it for 2 months you can't go wrong. Love your videos and very informative.
I've been building models for around 45 years, since I was 8. Done a ton of scratchbuilding, but one thing I haven't done is get a 3D printer. I figure I can't get a resin one, nowhere to have it set up (clean well-vented room). The weed-whacker-string type is intriguing, but I don't want the lines... plus, the 'Warden' would shriek if she saw me spending that kind of money!
Hi, great channel. I can see that you are passionate about your work, which is fantastic!! I have one question: When you say you don't have as much control over the Bambu Lab printers, are you talking about going beyond what Bambu Studio offers? As you can imagine, I am a user, not a tinkerer, and Bambu Lab is a godsend. I started with Anycubic Max 2 and Kobra 3, and I was very disappointed with the quality of the parts; the hotbed on the K3 was warped beyond compensation (I had to replace it), the z offset would jump with every print, and a terrible layer shift on the Kobra 2 Max was ever present, and so on. I have been in heaven since I switched to Bambu Lab (two A1s and two X1Cs). It does cost more, but I see it as an investment in my happiness. That's priceless. Have a great day!
It’s all the presets on the machine itself. Most of them I don’t mind and it definitely makes it easy to use, but if you were ever printing something more complex and realized at some point that it might be best if you slowed down the printing speed, you couldn’t just lower it to 80%, you’d have to choose one of Bambu Labs presets and that can be annoying when you don’t need the machine running as slow as 50%, but 100% is too fast. Thankfully Bambu’s calculated z offset has always seemed to be pretty great, but if it wasn’t you’d have no way of adjusting that either. In my opinion it just wouldn’t hurt to have the ability to have a little more control over certain settings.
Have people been asking you about your feelings on the current situation Bambu Lab has created with their current Firmware Updates? I am certain people are curious. I do not own a 3D printer in the class of the Qidi and Bambu, but am looking. I had been considering Bambu Lab until recently, and now I am not so sure, so I am learning more about Qidi on your channel. I hope to make an informed decision by the end of the hear, perhaps sooner. Thanks. :)
I have Bambu X1C and qidi x max 3. I have had a lot of trouble with the x max 3 unfortunately. Things I can work around … except for the ghosting. I have never been able to improve or eliminate the ghosting
@@MMsPropShop Yes, this is also part of my frustration. The X Max 3 has several hardware variations. Mine has the automatic belt tension design which makes it very difficult to manually tighten the belts. I feel like one of the belts could use a little tightening.. nothing crazy… but to do that it would be more involved than I would like.
@@MMsPropShop The only thing I haven’t tried yet is moving the printer off of the current workbench that it’s on to something more stable. Not that the workbench isn’t stable (the Bambu prints on the same workbench with no issues. I never run them both at the same time either.). But there is some wobble when the x max 3 prints I think due to the larger head moving so rapidly. But it’s also double the weight of the X1C so I don’t know why it wobbles more. So I just moved the x max 3 to the concrete basement floor. I don’t think it can get more sturdy than a concrete floor. It’s printing a helmet right now so we will see if I still see ghosting sort of issues in a day or so when it finishes
@colinmsmall in theory it shouldn’t make a difference as the vibration compensation should eliminate any artefacts that could typically be caused by a less stable printing surface, but I’m interested to hear how it went for you!
I want to create the little EC-1 droid on your desk behind you. One thing not included in the video you made recently about this droid that interest me is the level of details you applied on the droid like Lenses, light inside Eyes/Base, transparent bar stand, Mesh on holes and Cables. Can you share us more info about what you use? Thx in advance :)
There may be one that pops up in a future video that goes into more of the finishing details, but until then: The lenses were clear Christmas ornaments (the separating kind) that were cut down to the correct size. The lights in the eyes were just a couple of single LEDs powered by a 9v battery in the head. The base lights are a USB powered LED strip. The bar is an acrylic rod, I believe it’s 10mm but the size needed is listed in the EC-1 instruction PDF. Mesh is some stainless steel wire mesh and the cables were a mix of random black wires in various gauges (that I’ve collected overtime in the name of droid building lol), a silver cloth covered lamp cord, and some ridged wire loom.
Not sure I would recommend it, but there's also not many substitutes for large format. I did a poll on the Kobra 2 Max Facebook group and only 36% of us got a good machine out of the box. Warped beds, mismatched Y axis pulley tension, hot end issues. Basically a build quality lottery. Would recommend joining that group first. They did suggest a Kobra 3 Max would be coming out when I met them at Rapid TCT, but no commitment when. Lots of improvements including open source firmware.
I chose the ender 3 v3 cause of its compact size. Though i still want an A1, the V3 is superb and i still think that an A1 is great however after hearing about the creality CFS being compatible with the V3 i just stuck with what i have 😂. Should i have gotten an A1? Probably but the V3 with CFS sound pretty fool proof honestly 😂
CR-10 SE, Ender 3 V3, V3 Plus, V3 KE, K1, K1 Max and K1C as far as I know use the same hotend +with different heatbreak radiators), as well as maybe a few more printers, which you can also likely put on V3 SE without other modifications, the only difference being length on heater and sensor cables differing between them sometimes. Only having the wrong hotend available on which you need to then resolder cables to work can be as infuriating as finding your way for spare parts on their website in the first place
Hopefully Bambu Labs will reveal a larger printer early on in 2025 (I've heard rumors!) Us droid builders would love to retire the giant bed slingers and move into something compact, enclosed and more features!
I honestly don't get the manual z-offset thing ... With close to (only?) 1000h print time on the P1S I never missed that feature. When the prints don't stick well enough it's always because the build plate is not clean enough (greasy). Perhaps that's because I only print PLA, PETG and TPU ?
What would you recommend for a beginner. Im looking for a resin printer but not to expensive but with a decent printer bed and budget friendly. Love watching your videos. The smugglers room turned me on to your channel. Thank you for your help.
I’ve had great luck with the Elegoo Mars printers. Not buying the most current model means you can normally get a pretty great deal on one. The newest Mars 5 models have some really nice upgraded automated features that might be worth the extra cost for you though.
@MMsPropShop Thank you so much. I will definitely look into the Mars and Mars 5 and see which one will work best for me and my shop. Thanks again for your help.
Hello! I got an elegoo neptune 4 max and absolutely hate it, I'm considering the anycubic kobra 3 max, does the machine itself have any issues? for example the neptune 4 has OD firmware issues and takes so much to simply setup to get it printing anything larger than a benchy successfully. I was troubleshooting the neptune 4 for a week and a half before I threw in the towel when I tried adding a cable chain only to find out an eccentric nut was blocking the hole for the screw to hold the chain to the gantry. If the kobra 3 max's tinkering/troubleshooting is simply playing in the software or adjusting easy to access eccentric nuts and pulleys, leveling the bed, and setting the z offset I'm gonna get one, if it requires me to saw pieces off or some shit just to get it to work as intended I'm not interested.
Like the idea of the qidi printers especially the size bit I love my x1c as a novice it’s been almost flawless Soon as they make a large helmet class one I’ll be all over it
I am unbiased as I'm in the market for a 3D printer but to answer the why would you.. V3 over A1? Bambu does not recommend ABS + other exotic filaments, whereas Creality advise the V3, KE can print ABS ( with an enclosure).
It just seems to be Bambu Lab being realistic about what the printer can do on its own. Technically they both can reach the nozzle and bed temperatures necessary to print ABS.
@@MMsPropShop Thx for the reply and great channel. I'm enjoying your vids. Unfortunately, I can't find many vids if any at all to show A1's capabilities in regard to printing ABS etc.. Your 3V3 review tests ABS but unfortunately your A1 review does not. Also the 3V3 comes with a nozzle to print exotic filaments out of the box. It would be great if you could create a vid in regard to ABS etc (A1 vs 3V3) as there is no other video like it out there and I'm sure it would interest a lot of viewers.. Thx.
@tonydelovski8088 I never used ABS on the V3. Maybe someone else that reviewed it did? Also, ABS doesn’t require a hardened steel nozzle for printing as it’s a non abrasive filament so the pre installed stainless steel nozzle on the A1 would work fine (you can get hardened steel nozzles for the A1 though). I’d personally never choose to use either of them for ABS. Yes they’re both technically capable of being able to handle printing at those higher temperatures, but creating an enclosure for either of them would probably be more headache than it’s worth. If you’re really wanting to print in ABS you would be best off looking into an already enclosed printer.
@@MMsPropShop Thx again. Oops my bad, I rewatched the vids and no ABS. I've been cramming in so many vids as I'm looking to buy my first 3D printer that my brain is turning to mush! Would be great if you had the time to test this out.. "pushing the limits if an open frame printer"? "A1 vs 3v3"? One more thing, I believe you can enclose the 3v3 to try and improve prints where's it is not recommended on the A1? Cheers.

Same here, the A1 is currently on sale for £260 in UK. I'm still on the edge right now but very close to taking a dive on it.
Unrelated to 3D printers, I wanted you to know my foot sander arrived yesterday and you have successfully converted another fan!
I bought one too!
Haha, welcome to the foot sander club!
Now you got me wanting a foot sander. LOL!
I love your eloquence and knowledge! Outstanding video in every way! You deserve a million subscribers really.
You're so helpful. Thanks for taking the time to make these vids.
3 months with Bambu Lab X1Carbon, and I'm was really waiting for something awesome... and I'm more than impressed!!! I really really love it!
Yes! Very exciting to see all of these new options for multicolour printing coming out.
Love your videos. Will you also rank your SLA/Resin printers?
Very nicely summerised! As an owner of the X1 Carbon combo, I agree to all you say, really. I haven't tested the others, though, but your thoughts on them seem balanced enough. Thank you!
I cant wait for a bambu labs gen 2 printers. I have an upgraded P1S with panda touch etc.
Yes, very excited to see what they come out with next. Hopefully something big 🤞🏻
We're all waiting for that 100x100x100cm bambu killer ;)
@@roysigurdkarlsbakk3842 Are we? your angry about a company coming in and making a 3d printer that just works? weird...
@@mariospanna8389 By no means, no, I have an X1C combo and it's the best printer I've ever had.
not anymore myself with all the locking down and "security" stuff they are doing now
because i had a Bambu P1S lemon (damaged on first print then waited months for new parts) I wont go back to Bambu but had an Ender 3 and a anycubic and you made my decision to go back to the anycubic easier...thnx!
I had a hard time deciding which 3D to get after your demo I decided to get the Bambu A1
Great vid, I love the rationale and use cases. Lots of things I hadn’t thought of, and very informative. Thank you!
Good job.
You inspired me to buy and print that EC-1 Droid.... I love it so far just finishing up the last piece and even got all the LEDs wired up. 😁
Fantastic Vid once again Michaela. Great to see these newer next gen printers side by side :)
We want a full tour of shop and builds!!! keep up the amazing job!!
Makerworld is very very good
P1S is AWESOME.
Thx
WENT THROUGH YOUR VIDS, THE VOICE TRAPPED A FELLA, AND THEN TO SEE YOUR FACE..... IT DEFINITELY FITS.... 👌👍👍👍👌
Don't worry all of your space will be taken up by printers some day 🤣
@@MG_LIFE_LBS There are worse fates. I have an ex who uses a spare room for sun dresses and snow boarding gear, are printers any less valid?
My first Printer was Kobra 2 Max. :) Today Anycubic has updated slicer to use Orca Slicer instead.
Thank you. Great timing for me. I am about to dump my old ender and you gave me great tips. Thanks!!
Verry Good video. Thanks.
Maybe you’ve already done it, but would love a video on your print settings (in particular the Qidi Max 3) Great video comparing printers
Will you review the new Qidi +4 ?
What did you do to make the kobra 2 max produce such insane quality prints???😮 Crazy!! Mine is nowhere near there.
Subbed. Thank you for this video.
What about ender 3 v3 plus? Thoughts. Also if you had the option would you pick ender 3 v3 plus vs Bambu A1
Great review - thank you xoxo
I use cura with my kobramax, they don’t give you as many options as say creality but hasn’t let me down, printed my b1 using it
I wish there was a Prusa somewhere in there, to get your take on where it fits into the available lineup. Great review, though, thank you!
I'm an Ender 3 S1 pro user.
Since finding SuperSlicer. I've never looked back....
Unless I need tree supports then I use Cura.
Great video, love your work. I’m running a Anycubic Kobra 2 plus and it’s been brilliant. Don’t know if you knew but the new Anycubic slicer is based on Orcaslicer. I used it today for the first time and it seems to be working great.
After years of being breaking my head with cheap printers I need a auto zoffset that works! Mainly because I'm tired 😂
Fantastic video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I’m torn between the Bambu Lab A1 or QIDI Q1 Pro.
Ok I've looked on your website and both channels and I'm stumped
Who is that astromech in the background and why are they so fucking PRETTY
For the longest time I thought that my Elegoo Neptune 4 Max was just bad after a while because I had multiple failures only to realize that there are people out there who set up orca slicer profiles and they are fine-tuned to the machine. And if you add fuzz to your models it makes them look more professional also.
At 0.3 - 0.3 on the orca other settings.
I’m all about the Qidi pro 4 right now especially with an ams unit slated for 2025. The pro 4 looks perfect, everything I’ve been waiting for in a printer.
Got mine today! Very excited to get it up and running.
@MMsPropShop Will you do a review.
@bran3209 yes, should be up in a couple weeks!
Have u used the cobra s1 of Anycubic at all
If you get a chance you should try the Neptune Max. I'm having great success with it but I don't print as much as you do. lol
The KE DOES have vibration compensation, you just have to buy the sensors and run the calibration.
Qhat is the largest size printer that's good for printing hydroponic and watering equipment aswell as droids. 😍
Yeah, the new QIDI PLUS4 looks like a future machine.
Anycubic released their new slicer. It's Orca with some Anycubic tweeks.
Excellent video! Have you done any hueforge printing using the bambulab printers based on your papercrafts?
I hope for a timely review of the new Qidi Plus 4 - seems to be the new price to performance king while offering the best versatility also.
Should be up in a couple weeks! Mine came in yesterday and I like to take 1-2 weeks to thoroughly put things to the test.
@@MMsPropShop Awesome - can't wait to hear your take :)
Could you check the bearing, since there is a review pointing out issues with it?
@JensAllerlei do you happen to remember who mentioned it? I’ll definitely look into it.
@@MMsPropShop "Noizie Works" had an issue with the lower x carriage bushing.
@@MMsPropShop Noizie Works and he just posted an update :)
@@MMsPropShop Ah ok I understand now, thank you.
You may have already tried this, but sometimes loose belts can be the cause of the ghosting.
There may be one that pops up in a future video that goes into more of the finishing details, but until then:
The lenses were clear Christmas ornaments (the separating kind) that were cut down to the correct size.
@@MMsPropShop wow a big thank you for all the info :) Wish you the best and I will continue follow your nice projects for sure
Love my X-Max 3
16:51 Then there's me, trying to get a Kobra 2 Max for my first printer, lol.
Very useful info. Thank you!
Fantastic video, thank you for that.
Is there any chance you might print HK-47? The best star wars droid in my opinion.
I am surprised you haven't tried a Modix printer for the size of prints your doing
Hopefully Bambu Labs will reveal a larger printer early on in 2025 (I've heard rumors!) Us droid builders would love to retire the giant bed slingers and move into something compact, enclosed and more features!
What a great video. Thanks
I need a printer with the simplicity and reliability of an X1C but with the build volume of the big rep one. For under $30k
If the kobra 3 max's tinkering/troubleshooting is simply playing in the software or adjusting easy to access eccentric nuts and pulleys, leveling the bed, and setting the z offset I'm gonna get one, if it requires me to saw pieces off or some shit just to get it to work as intended I'm not interested.
would you suggest not using a PLA for cosplay, i got my printer for that reason and it came with 12 rolls of PLA+
I´m really sure the Qidi 4 Plus is in your mail ^^
Like the idea of the qidi printers especially the size bit I love my x1c as a novice it’s been almost flawless
Soon as they make a large helmet class one I’ll be all over it
I am unbiased as I'm in the market for a 3D printer but to answer the why would you..
Cheers.
