The saddest part is that April and her siblings were orphans, and then they had to suffer her loss, too. She took out that massive life insurance policy thinking of THEM. She took it out in case something happened to her, so her younger siblings would be taken care of, and he knew that. She had become sort of a mother figure for them after losing their parents, and she felt secure knowing that money would be there for them if she were to die. She never thought her loser husband would murder her so he could get that money. The fact that after she died, he tried to keep the money instead of using it for it’s intended purpose as April had wished, says everything we need to know about him.

Justin Barber's story to the police simply doesn't make any common sense. None of the forensic evidence in the case matches his narrative story. The evidence in the case proves he is lying and that his statements are all inconsistent with the facts of the case. The police and the medical examiner stated that all of the evidence at the scene of the murder and in the case does not match any of Justin's claims of what he did for her, and that his narrative of events actually could not have and did not occur. The medical examiner said due to her injuries and the direction of the blood splatters on her body, she was shot and killed exactly where she was found.
Justin's story is one crystal clear transparent lie after another crystal clear transparent lie. He appears to manufacture false emotions to try to appear being heartbroken. If Justin really loved his wife, he wouldn't be having affairs, at least 5 of them with other women, during his marriage to his wife. Then there is the 2.1 million USD life insurance policy to gain if she would be killed. He is only heartbroken that he got caught. He will spend his remaining time on earth where he belongs locked up because he is tragically, guilty.
