Another great video! The lever under the seat on the left-hand side is the PTO the clutch is stuck from setting up. Sometimes you can get it in gear hold the clutch in and stomp on the brakes. Sometimes it will break the clutch loose. Keep those videos rolling.
Yes and unlike modern tractors with independent PTO, you must depress the clutch to engage and disengage. We have an NAA, same as the Jubilee; Jubilee was a commemorative tractor and was 53 and ours was 54. Later models beginning in 55 was called 600 and had a higher ratio ratio gears and a couple other things. We have a 55 my dad bought new and a later model. We have new cab models and my brother drives 9000 Series John Deeres, but around the home-place you will usually find him on one of the old Fords. (If you are not going to use the tractor, wire the clutch down)
Don’t be Wily? Nah… do be Wily, you’re the man! Respect from Wales in the UK. Many ‘Will it Start’ vids are totally skip-through-able, not these, the way you go through the process and the conversational tone, and humour is so watchable. Keep posting! Diolch yn fawr!
I practically learned how to drive on one of those sweet tractors. From raking hay to bush hogging to hauling off the garbage. That’s back when we dumped in a gully in the back 40. Those things will last forever if they are taken care of. That little tractor will outlast a new one. Brings back some great memories with my grandfather and uncle’s. Took my first chew of red man also.
That might be a 53 54 600 the lever on the left hand side is for the PTO pull the lever to the rear turns on the PTO pull it Forward turns it off the lift is on your right side pull it back towards the rear the three-point hitch will lift up
Well Don, you got it running, and darn thing runs great, but definitely needs the clutch looked at, and your umm miss hap, well it didn’t really hurt much, lol be good little tractor, with a little work, but hope your feeling better soon Wiley, waiting for your next video
Thanks for another great video Wiley and Jacob. It was interesting. That old ford tractor is not so bad. With some fixing and tlc believe that could be a handy little tractor. Not too bad. Needs a clutch. Watch out for the building Wiley. That was funny you trying to get it stopped. Happens. You got it stopped. That old case dozer is not too bad either. Someone will be able to use it. Nice truck to haul it. Good going on it all Wiley. Sweet running little tractor. Thanks for everything. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Mishaps and tractors happen. While teaching a young man to drive one I instructed him to stop as we approached the doors to the tool shed. I didn't understand why he wasn't stopping until just as we crashed through the doors I realized he had never driven a stick anything and was using the brakes but not the clutch! So same reason as your crash, clutch engaged! Replacing the doors became that Saturday's project. :-)
Yeah, that lever under the seat on the left side engages and disengages the PTO. PTO has to be engaged for the 3 point lift to work. The old Ferd sounds pretty good!
In the 1990s, I owned a 54 NAA that had to sit outside. Came home from a long day of working on state highway snowplows that were first-generation computer control having issues. The old Ford that was still 6 volt and slow rolled and fired right up, and I was able to plow the driveway. I remember thinking that we had gone backwards with new technologies. I enjoy your videos keep them coming.
I love equipment and I want one but iam 63 retired concrete. Worker and I ask myself ,self why do you want a piece of equipment. Well I just do. Thanks for sharing ur Chanel n experience with us God bless yall real good.
Wally , you don't want to knock off that bendix off that shaft it has a roll pin in it , my neighbor did his and the bendix fell into the bottom of the crankcase only one way to get It out split the engine
Excellent video Wiley :) also that start ring part seized on when starter gear need have grease or anti seized put so slip in and out if ever put starter on same style to! Also that tractor be fix upper for sure also and fuel shut off system weird for sure never seen one those on tractor before!
Great job, Wily!! I figured if there was a chance of it running you would be the man to fire it up! Great video (except for the little mishap lol). Thanks for sharing!!
The lever there behind the clutch that you were not sure about is the PTO engager and disengage lever, I have a tractor just like it at my home too, in some of the old tractors they have to be engaged for the lift to work, but other tractors of the same type the lift works without the lever engaged, it is different for each tractor
A couple of suggestions for you fellers. Get yourself a heavy duty set of jumper cables and you won't have to lug those batteries around as much. Just set your batteries on the ground or hood or wherever and hook the jumpers to the starter or the machine's cables. Another suggestion is when you get a machine that starts that easy and has a bad clutch , shut it off and start it in gear.
I like 👍 ford tractor 🚜 and I had a 8 n it was a great tractor 🚜 to work on the farm I think it will start because it is a 8n tractor 😊you have a good day
That is not a Jubilee they were built in 53 and 54 The way you can tell the difference is the Jubilee has a nut on the end of the axle. That tractor is a 600 series built between 55 to 64. If you look on the transmission right below the air cleaner The serial and the model number is stamped there.
I had the same ford back in early 90s i sold it. bought 2 1/2 1964 Diesel Fordson super majors . made one out of 2 1/2 built in the UK you probably know this but Fordson is named after Henry and Edsel Ford....Ford-Son.. get it?😊 And another thing Kingsford charcoal. Man name king took tons of scrap wood from millions of model T body's and KINGS- FORD was born. That Henry could turn horse crap into Gold😂 thanks for another great video...God bless
Ford made basically the same tractor from the N series up to the 3000 and 4000. Lots of people like them, but I'm not one of them. The lever you were wondering about is the PTO engagement, as someone else said. There's a draft control for the 3 point on the opposite side. Pretty uncommon, but eventually you may run across one with the add on Sherman transmission. Even more uncommon would be one with a Ford flathead V8 swapped in.
As be Wiley!! You are the best I do believe that tractor has a wet clutch if low on hydraulic fluid clutch and lift will not work lever on the side should be to engage hydraulic lift
That old girl probably would have ran on the gas you drained out of it. The one I have is a loyal old gal and starts every time in every temperature. They were made to run before this crappy gas we have now. Good tractor just ain’t big enough to get anything done around here anymore.
I agree with you. I was just surprised the way it busted off. Not sure why he parked it. May have got a newer tractor in his collection Thanks for sharing and watching
That is not a golden jubilee they had a big nut in the center of the axle where you bolt the rear tires on them that might be a 600 series ford tractor
That tractor seems happy to be alive again.
It does. I hope somebody will buy it
Thanks for watching
That old tractor runs good l am glad you got it going Wiley
It sure did and thank you
Thanks for watching
there tough old tractors me and you will be in a box it will be still be running {no computer junk} great video keep them coming
Thank you

A running tractor and a sold dozer. A good Wiley day.
It was a good day. Thanks for watching
Wonderful job Wily. My Grandfather had a 51 Jubilee and after his passing at 92, my Uncle has it now and still uses it. One great tractor.
Thanks for sharing. I have been told in a couple of comments it is actually a 600 series tractor.
1953 was the first year of the Golden Jubilee. Ford lost a lawsuit filed by Harry Ferguson and had to redesign the hydraulics.
Jubilee was only made in 53
"Let's see if it's got oil. Yep, this thang is makin oil!" I love it every time :)

Thanks for another great video Wiley and Jacob.

Yeah, that lever under the seat on the left side engages and disengages the PTO. PTO has to be engaged for the 3 point lift to work. The old Ferd sounds pretty good!
On the Jubile, the PTO doesn't have to be on for the 3pt to work! That's on the N series! The Jubile has live hydraulics!

@@jonathanfrecking1210 You're right! I forgot about that.

The "Golden Jubilee" was only made in 1953 in honor of Ford's 50th anniversary. In 1954 it became the NAA, then in 1955 it became the 600.
Thanks for sharing that information and watching
That a Ford 600
Your absolutely correct still use my 1953 golden jubilee to this day
I had the same ford back in early 90s i sold it. bought 2 1/2 1964 Diesel Fordson super majors . made one out of 2 1/2 built in the UK you probably know this but Fordson is named after Henry and Edsel Ford....Ford-Son.. get it?😊 And another thing Kingsford charcoal. Yes he does
GOT YOURSELF A RUNNING TRACTOR

Well, you didn't start a jubilee this day either, because it's not a jubilee. It's a 600 series tractor. Looks to be a 641.
Thanks for sharing that and watching
