Hiya J! Skubal is tough, but we need the game tomorrow. Mariner batters get hit a lot, with no response ever by the M's. Most hit batters are not intentional. But I've seen too many that looked to be on purpose, and even when its obvious, they never respond with a fastball to the ribs of the next guy up on the other team. Getting hit in the hands isnt something that you can call intentional. But if you look back several years, Seattle has always had far more hit batters than they have hit themselves. Robles got himself a hit. I hope he gets three tomorrow. I hope Turner gets back soon. Go M's! Thanks, J!
The new trade deadline aquisitions seem to be falling in line behind the players that have been struggling a lot of the year. They had a few nice games though when Arozarena and Turner first arrived. I wonder why Garver was put in to pinch hit with two outs in the bottom of the ninth?
I really wish we went after Abrams and Garcia from Washington at the deadline. It makes me feel like that may cost us a playoff spot. That would have corrected so much in our infield. Hopefully Abrams is a target in the off-season with Soto. Make Raley your first baseman and resign Robles. Dump Haniger, Garver, and Polanco. I'm already looking to next year because I've lost faith in making a deep run this year. Imagine a potential outfield of Arozarena, Jrod, and Soto, with Robles and Canzone the depth.
Unpopular opinion but I think Cal should get the day off tomorrow and Garver be put in the starting line up. I know everyone will say Garver has been terrible and we need Cal and that is true. But I think Cal could really use some rest. At the same time I don't see DFA Garver as a solution because who would replace him? It doesn't seem like there's really anyone who could. That includes Harry Ford who just came back from the IL from a concussion. I don't think rushing him would be a good idea. So I think Garver, as bad as he has been, is the best option the Mariners have right now for back up catcher and he just needs to battle through his struggle and find a way to finally get that hit. I think will it not only be good motivation for Garver but the whole team.

Its so hard guageing how the pitching is listening to the game. It sounded like castillo was getting shelled left and right...then they say 9 k's and im like what? All i know is i asked seattle sports if they had the number for the acute pain place they were advertising cause i wanted to ask them if they had anything for pain caused by the mariners lol
