The Milliput is a great idea. It will reinforce the integrity of the plastic that had all the holes drilled into it. Less likely to start fracturing after handling the speeder. I use Milliput myself quite a bit. Excellent video.👍
Snowspeeder restoration is my next project. Managed to get the body, with working electronics and the battery cover intact for £3. In fortunately the place to attach the cockpit is snapped, but I should be able to pick up a body with the parts I need cheaply, as I don’t need the battery cover etc
Another awesome video. Do you not find, over time, that using super glue on an old toy results in the surrounding plastic becoming white and brittle? For example, about four months ago I super glued (standard issue) the top gun back on an Ecto 1 roof chair. Over time the black chair and the red gun turned a pale colour and two weeks ago the gun fell off, with the whole thing feeling very fragile.
Zombobby probably just an unusual chemical reaction between the plastic and the glue, i did have 2 Action men that came in a joblot, they had had their heads glued on, it was a rubbery type of glue, it came off pretty easy but had bleached the bodies white.
I ve been watching your channel for a while now I've restored a number of action men and starwars figures using your videos gotta say though I'm quite frustrated I can't seem to get a reasonably priced vintage millennium falcon radar dish or smugglers hatch cover anywhere I've got a radar stand if you have a spare dish an want to trade lol

There's nothing that Toy Polloi can't fix. My favorite channel.
Even if I'm having a bad day your toy fix it videos CHEER me up! Thank you and please keep posting!
+cichlidjedi Thanks! Glad they have that affect on you.
I love what you do in restoring vintage toys. It's great that you take the time to bring back to life these great toys! Many thanks for sharing.

+salfordnurse Sounds like a bargain. As you can see, I need a lot of parts for these speeders.
You are the best keep it up. Its so cool watching you fix the toys
Great video, Dave.
Fantastic videos!
You wouldn't happen to know the original length of string used for the tow cables (that are always missing) as these came new?
No, I don't think I have ever had an original myself.
excellent repair video Dave....
Extremely impressed 😮
Yes it looks great 👍 😎
can you do anything about the oxidation?
Very cool as always

+Zombobby Depends on the plastic I guess. I've. It had any issues in the toys I fix.

I enjoy watching your videos, however the drilling looks realy painfull. If I was arround I would come over with a small drill press...
I'm going to ask A Big Big Favor... You Mentioned Doing a Custom Snowspeeder, could you also do a screen accurate paint job as well?
Mine broke when my puppy stepped on it back in 1984, the puppy is long gone, but I still have my snowspeeder.
I bought that superglue after I saw you used it.
Forget the patreon Dave, give Lego a bell and ask for a sponsorship deal ;)
+the gaming toy boy I did send them a message, never got a response.
Are you going to do something on removing corrosion from battery contacts (as seen on this Snowspeeder) Dave?
+AshtonArcher I've already covered that. Just search for toy Polloi battery corrosion. Cheers
The LEGO Dr.👍☯👍
GALAXIE 67 or Dr Lego ;) (Eastenders pun for those that are too young to remember) *you're American i see, so the joke is no doubt wasted on you*
Love it! Suggestion: You need some dental tools. It will make your life a lot easier.
nice...u should have the nickname lego man hehe :)
At some point with age , I wonder, will all the old toys become fixer uppers? Someone may be re fixing our fixes years to come. Weird
Toy Entropy is what I call it. And yes, all toys will one day degrade like the rest of us :D
