Nissan NV Alternator Dying? Caught in the act? Battery brake light charging system noise grinding

Noisy on cold startup, battery brake and alternator error present. After noise dies down, lights go away. Alternator bearing starting to die?

I hit mine with a hammer and got a few more weeks out of it. Now it's starting to happen again.
