my daughter loves our local library she's 6 and they know us by name there. She gets books and movies all the time and this year I got her a card. i keep it in my wallet but she has one if she ever wants to put them on her card.
I'm a librarian too and came to say this! Also take advantage of those toddler-friendly events there like the story times if you can! I bet Jackson would love them.

The public library in my home town is where I spent countless hours in the summer watching movies (Wallace and Grommet , classic Universal horror movies, nature documentaries) in the basement and checking out 5+ books a week as a pre-teen. Our librarians were always more than eager to help you find what you were looking for, even if you weren't quite sure what exactly that was as a clueless kid who wanted to learn everything about everything. If I didn't live in the boonies, I'd think about joining the librarian army if just to continue that cycle of curiosity and learning with future generations. I was a pro at the Dewey Decimal system. LOL!

I'm so glad Jackson has a library card! Public libraries are a wealth of information and resources, and people should take advantage of all that they have to offer! Most people think they only have books, but libraries also have DVDs, CDs, and computers for people to use. Some libraries will let people check out laptops and cameras and wi-fi hot spots to use too. And like you mentioned, libraries often have free activities and classes for all age groups, so if you've ever wanted to learn something new, check out your local, public library!
These "hodgepodge" videos are my favorite, Jenn. And YAY for libraries! So many happy memories there.
I absolutely loved having my very own library card when I was little so it's adorable getting to see Jackson get his own! Also Jenn, don't apologize for the hodgepodge videos! They're always so fun and cute! It's nice getting to see how things naturally progress and spending undistracted time with Jackson is always better than vlogging for us (even though we love to see the videos). I'm so excited for the upcoming pregnancy updates and the nursery videos!
I have to say - I think Jackson speaks so advanced, and intelligently, for his age, and also has such nice manners - great job, Tim and Jenn!! And hearing about him going to the library, loving reading, and being excited about getting his own library card all fits in, and makes sense. Jackson: "We need to push a LOT of buttons". Jenn: "That's why it's on child lock". ROTFL. I'm sure the baby's room will be just as nurturing and lovely and environment as you made Jackson's room.

Just an fyi. You can send letters to Santa through the post office and you will get a letter back. It’s a tradition the post office still does to this day. I’ve been working as a rural carrier for 20 years. And I love getting to Santa letters. They actually go somewhere and you will get a letter from Santa back

Here in England for the summer our libraries did a summer reading challenge..when kids sign up they got a special sticker chart and added a sticker each time they got a book. Challenge was to read 6 library books and during they got cute bits like a bookmark and pencil and at the end of the challenge they've got a medal and certificate. We love our local library, always get books out for bedtime stories

Mother & Son time, and all family times is so great. Jenn you're doing really good with vlogs and editing, even though you're so busy with life stuff. The food you fix is always interesting. Jackson getting Library card is awesome. I never had a Library card, mom would just buy a book in Walmart. I was blessed to have two avid readers for parents and we had a local library just around the corner from our house. I loved going there and I am so glad Jackson loves it too!
Jackson is SO smart! I have LOVED seeing him learn and talk. I teach Autistic elementary art kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders.
And his Art work is so cute! 😍

When my sons were young we used to go to our library (in the UK) regularly for books. They loved choosing their books and then getting new choices a couple of weeks later. Also went to reading and play sessions there. We used the library for years and they both still love reading I’m glad to say.
I still use the library myself regularly.
Libraries are a great place for all.
I'm so happy to hear that Jackson is so social. It's so important. My now adult daughters are five years apart, but I found it rather difficult, before my second one came along, to find ways to make sure the oldest one socialized with other kids on a regular basis. The library was definitely a great resource and a great way for me to interact with other stay-at-home moms as well. 😊

Hoooooome Vloooooog? Jenn & Jackson edition. Boy, I needed a nap after watching that, Jackson wore me out. My son loved going to the library when he was little. I started reading to him at the hospital after he was born so he loved books from day one. Still reads all the time.

Easy trick Jen, if you use and outdoor picnic tablecloth for Jackson to use under his painting and crafts, it will save you taping stuff to your table.
That is a great idea having the kids with a room apart. . bc Jen is right the baby will make a lot of noise that Jackson Sony used to. .i am so happy for you guys. I would give Jackson the bigger room and the baby Jackson's smaller room. .

Jenn if you’re adding oil to your pasta water you’re adding extra calories and if you do it according to directions on the package and have plenty of water in the pan and stir the first minute after adding the pasta and then in the middle of cooking the pasta will not stick.

I've loved all the trips recently, but am glad to see y'all just hang out at home--and my librarian heart is so happy that Jackson has a card and can hopefully go to some fun activities soon! It's also good to get even small baby updates, and I'm looking forward to seeing the nursery transformation (following the pumpkin carving, of course! )

Love the updates style videos. We never bought nursery furniture. We just used regular furniture and added changing top to it. It lasted for a really long time too. Less to get rid of when they outgrow baby styles, too. :)

He is so cute. I bet he is getting more excited about the baby since you are showing. Jenn you have such a beautiful glow I believe all pregnant women get a glow some more thyan others. I so enjoy your videos 1. You all are just good people 2. I LOVE DISNEY AND FLORIDA 3.watching you grow as a family and seeing some those first and see the joys you all do. I have never had that since i was infertile and IVF is so expensive and with my 1st hubby we did not have the funds. With my second hubby we were too old to adopt. So never apologize ok. They really need to bring back Babies R Us stores.
Also, if you plan on ordering nice furniture that can grow with your kid, make sure you order the conversion kits at the same time you order the crib. Otherwise if you wait, it will be discontinued by the time you need to order it and you won’t be able to. My youngest is 12 years old and we bought her bedroom furniture at Babies R Us. It took 6-8 weeks to come in and an additional 3 months for the toddler and full size bed conversion kits. I can’t imagine how long it is now with all these shortage.
I LOVED Babies r Us!!! I had my Baby registry there. I REGRET not getting the Conversion Crib!!! But in a way I'm Thankful cause my Son's CRIB was DESTROYED by Hurricane IDA
Jenn, I’ve been a depop seller for almost 3 years and I really like it. I’ve made a bit of extra money from it and it’s a nice little extra source of income. I will say, if you do decide to sell on there make sure you have an alternate address than your home address for your “sell from” address just to protect your safety. I’m sure with the following you have your clothes will sell in no time. Best of luck!
