      you make very good content, i think you should make what ever you feel like making, your channel is still small so its best to experiment see what people like by just doing projects you enjoy the most

      How about a making grooving plane for the bottom slot? Use a chisel for the blade. I now use a plow plane and have a 4mm Kikai Shakuri Kanna that can cut across the grain.

      Thank you! I made the jig with hand tools and I uploaded the video of making it pretty recently so you can find it easily from my channel. I also put the link in the description!

    Love the mini diagrams and tips in your videos!
    What finish did you apply onto the box in the end?

    • @YRTi
      @YRTi  2 роки тому +2

      Hello, I'm glad that you liked it! As for the finish, I used walnut oil and then put wax (beeswax/carnauba wax). It's a beginner friendly combo as long as you are okay with the walnut oil smell.

    your channel is way beyond "good enough" and I must say I prefer the not-so-perfect work over those fancy woodworkers where everything looks as if it was perfect. Because realistically speaking: this is just how woodworking is and you show the reality and don't cheat. You're honest about mess ups.
    I think your videos could even be longer, so that you can show even more of your process.

      I always make my best effort to have a perfect result but I just can't, haha. and I call myself a beginner so yeah, there's no pressure to show a perfect product. For the video length, I always target 10mins but somehow.... I need to learn more about the video editing! Thank you!

    I enjoy the stupid jokes. I appreciate how minimalistic and primitive your work areas are. I leaves me with no excuses. I keep putting off working on projects because I need the right chisels or I need the right bench or I need the right work area or I need the right whatever.
    Woodworkers like you inspire more than you know.
    Thank you for what you do and I cannot wait to see what you do next.

      Thank you for the positive comment and I’m glad that you liked it!
      If I make a thing to sell, I would have to consider the productivity but I just enjoy woodworking so I’m fine with what I have. Though my storage space is getting full…We always want new tools,haha:)

    Part of why I enjoy watching your videos is because you take such obvious joy in what you are doing. Even when something goes wrong you remain positive and accept it as a learning experience.
    I think you should make what makes you happy :)

      Thank you for the comment! Unlike experienced woodworkers, the most things I do are new to me so I kind of take it for granted that things can go wrong at any point of a project. and my main concern is if people can enjoy watching my videos so unless there are people who love to watch someone complain in a video, haha:)
