NEW WOLF PACK HITS NEW BAIT SITE | RED LAKE, ONTARIO

- @campingwithsteve 15:30, we love you brother - Come hunker down in our Wolf blind anytime!!!
I did not expect the Wolves to hit the bait within 8 hours of me setting it out, especially with all the chainsaw fumes, oil & human scent in the area.
When I baited on the waterbody of Red Lake & not on any main-land, it took that specific Wolf pack exactly 7-days to hit my bait, so it looks like these big buggers are hungry!

Hey man, awesome to see your plan coming together.
Franklin.
Thanks man - Appreciate the love & miss you guys!
Joel, very nice set up. What a special moment for the both of you. Look forward to watching your hunting adventures together in the future. Be safe brother and watch your six!!!!!!
Thank you kind sir - We appreciate the love!!!
Always... Same to you man, you stay safe out there!
Thanks for the shout out brother . Man that was hilarious! . Great to see your better half enjoying the outdoors ! The blind looks great the cam captures are amazing . Now you just need to be there at the right time to fling a bolt at the boiler room ! Man I’m pumped for upcoming videos . Tell Renea I said all the best with her Olympic endeavors and looking forward to seeing her catching fish and dropping dinner !
Appreciate the love brother!!!! It's all about timing now... stay tuned 😉
Once she moves north she will be in A LOT more videos!
Renee is always smiling, looking forward to both hunting together.
Hahahah she's a bit camera shy but she'll be a natural soon enough!! Much love brother
As an ontario boy as well, born and raised, I loved your little skit about making your stapleguns prohibited and the little, yet very obvious jab at our pos leader. 👌👌
LOLLL thank you brother - Just projecting is all... But hey even with the OIC & restrictions, we still gotta make good use of what we can use still. The tides will turn eventually... Just a sad state of affairs currently.
Awesome, glad they are coming to your bait so soon. Can't wait for you to hunt it. Thanks for sharing
We were quite surprised to see that dog stick around for so long & show up 8 hours after I had tossed the bait out & built the cubby pile around it.
My typical pattern for a pack to hit a bait has been at least 7 days... not sure why, but as you see, they are quite skittish - But as Franklin says... "The stomach rules all..."
I appreciate the love brother!!
Nothing like near tame wolves ! 👌🏽👍🏽
A bit skittish, but they'll get comfortable... The stomach rules all!!!
Appreciate the love brother ❤ Stay safe out there
Great adventure, looks like you are all set up for a hunt Joel. Nice to see Rene along to share your excitement. Like the blind, very functional. Now its time for a hunt.
You two make a great Wolf hunting team 👍…good job buddy!
Looks fantastic guys, can't wait to see how this plays out! Any day in the woods or on a snowmobile is a great day.
Fingers crossed I can smack one prior to March 31st... Just need to get them to keep coming to the bait. So far We have 2-3 solid days of footage coming out in future videos so if I can sit for 3 days straight out there I may have a solid chance at a shot at one!
As they say... a bad day hunting or fishing beats a good day working! LOL but is there such thing as a bad day in the bush!?!?!
@@PatterningNature right on brother can't wait for that footage. And no sir, no bad day in the bush!
That blind should work well. The trail cam footage was great and I can't wait to see you stick one. Be safe and God bless
Thank you kind sir, much appreciated!!! I have never taken a Wolf, or any critter with a bow yet, so this will be a first for me as well as Renee!
God bless & stay well, Todd
looked like those Wolves know the area and were just a bit apprehensive to step into the opening that wasn't there before. There may also have been some residual sent from you around. You'll get one of them eventually.
100% agree - Fresh new cuts, scent, etc... And now this random bait pile thats covered... They knew something was up.
Just need them to get comfortable is all!!
1st choice bow then rifle years ago. Buddy lost a bunch of Buffalo to wolves a few years ago and i was just getting into pcp air rifles and i was going to go for it but no wolves came in. Didnt have the right caliber, still dont but i loved the idea. Never owned a crossbow always wanted one just never got around to it.😂
Very great, sure coming along. The better half sure looks like she's loving it an looks excited to get at some wolves. She a keeper brother!
She wants a Wolf pelt for a bed throw at the foot of our bed, so there ya go LOL #TheDreamWoman
Appreciate the love brother - Stay safe out there!!
Hard work is about to pay off. What is your broadhead choice? Joel you are a very lucky man to have Rene to share your passion. Looking forward to the first hunt. Hopefully it will be like that episode with the .22. Standing by for success.
Thank you brother! Always appreciate the love.
For now I just have stock 3 blade broad heads, but I am looking into RAGE broad heads, or German Kinetics broad heads which Franklins guest recommended to utilize.
I will have a rifle by my side just in case, but the bow will be my go-to for this hunt, specifically!
Minnesota Rancher. Looks promising. Great young lady. Good luck with your future! Thanks for sharing.
Met a farmer today who might put me on some Coyotes or Wolves that are tormenting his land/cattle... That would make for some interesting content!
She is a breath of fresh air my friend.
M8 a small observation wolves follow the birds , because they can see more from the air. A dead carcass, a wounded animal a crow , raven , can spot it and advise the land predators , where the next meal is located. Keep up the good work. God bless y'all.
You are 100% correct, sir!!!!
As Franklin says "What the Wolves don't smell, the Raven sees.... And what the Raven doesn't see, the Wolves smell".
They are Mother Nature & God's best partners in the wild, next to chipmunks/squirrels notifying Deer that Human are nearby LOL
God bless brother - Stick around, lots more content coming up!
Awesome video ❤
Thank you for the love, Wanita!!! God bless ❤
Awesome! That's a sweet blind. I too use a carpet square in my pop up blind when bait hunting coyotes. Insulates my feet from the cold and keeps me extra quiet! Can't wait till you crossbow one!
Its funny, I never used carpet, just spruce bows before this, as we both know... Mother Nature provides all the tools for anything you need, really...
But after connecting with Franklin & seeing the use of old carpets, I had to join in on that!!!!
I should carry around a 3x3 foot square of carpet for my tracking, or bush sits when I sit on a tree in my winter whites... Not only would it keep my butt warm, but I could stand up on the carpet & negate the crunching of the snow when its -40 LOL
@PatterningNature for sure! I hunt at night here with a thermal scope over bait. I'll sneak into a pop up blind at 6 pm and if the wind is good I'll sit till almost dawn. It'll hit -15F pretty regularly. Little piece of carpet goes a long way. Always learn new tricks as you go. Been bait hunting coyotes since 2004. Still learning lol. Franklin is a wealth of knowledge. Be the sponge.
I need to try my hand at Yote hunting, whether its calling them in, or over a bait - There aren't a lot in Red Lake but lots to the south of us!
I concur about Franklin - Dude is a legend & I am so blessed to have him in my life as such a good friend@@MrAnimalControl
@@PatterningNature yessir! I call them and bait as well. Baiting works better around here.
Thats what I figure... get that scent swirling around, plus some Yote calls or distress calls & they should come barrelling in right to you!!!@@MrAnimalControl
She's a keeper,I think she needs a full body mount wolf,just a thought.lol...
LOL I got my first Wolf from 2020 at the taxidermist being fully mounted as we speak!!!
...But having two isn't a bad idea 😜
Oh & I have a bear rug being made too!
Hey Joel... thanks for the shout out!!😅 I in no way was criticizing your work, if anything, in completely envious of what you're doing! I see some wolf pelts in your very near future! You have a very nice girl friend!!
LOL all good brother - constructive criticism is the best & I don't doubt you could teach me a thing or two!!!
I love your comments & participation in my content because it allows us to connect on many different levels - Not only through comments, but via shoutouts & bringing your comments into my videos.
#MindfulOfMerv
Awesome. I’ve trapped 8 wolves this year, but just pulled the last of my snares. Hunting them would be a blast!
Oh mannnnn, that’s what I want to get into is snaring!
Do you use any foot hold traps ever?
Your cabin is really coming along, Carpet is down, Next trip big screen TV, I'll lend you my Xbox, Somethig to do while waiting for the wolves, No need to thank me anything for a friend, Your boss seems awsome i mean better-half Take care😊👍
LOLLLLLLL Renee & I are laughing at your comment brother, thank you for the love.
Once I get the 50 inch TV in there with STARLINK Wifi... I will be sure to play your videos non-stop... The soft sound of your voice may attract more critters to come say hello...
...Better yet, they probably will knock on my cabin door & say "Hey... are you watching Ernie's cabin? Can I join you for tea?" LOL!!!!
@@PatterningNature I know the real reason Renee is there, your going to have her stand by the bait pile wearing a red hoody holding a picnic basket, after you nail a Granny's House sign to your cabin, She seems real nice on camera but I can tell by the red hand print on the back of your head she's a little diffrent off camera😊✌
Little red riding hood eh... Thats quite a dark tale as the Lumberjack cuts open the fully fed Wolf to save everyone. Am I the Lumberjack? LOL@@erniescabin4256
@@PatterningNature lol I was thinking you could take the wolf before it eats, but your right, best not take that chance with Renee, she is a keeper, 😊✌
Hahahahahahahah - Amen to that, my friend!@@erniescabin4256
You probably made Trudeau cry by possessing black tactical staplers 😂
I feel like he already is crying over a lot of other things right now that are going on... but yes LOL!!
What a beautiful young lady how did that happen with your mug lol KIDDING lol!!!
Russ - legit I LOL'd at this comment.
Renee is now laughing at your comment because I burst out laughing & she heard me giggling in the other room & had to come see what was so funny 😆
Tubby guy doesn't post anymore
He doesn't as often, but I think him & @darrendavidsonoutdoors have some things planned for the spring!
Windows seem a little low for you
But perfect for Renee 😉 Shes gonna do her part & take the shot if shes got the time to put in at the blind - We will see... Still patterning this pack but won't be long now.
