Thank you. Thank you for not acting like we are all experts at cutting things. Everything that you mentioned im so glad you did because I would've messed it up. This is my first miter saw and hopefully my last one for a while.
I've been wanting a battery powered saw and almost was forced to buying the Dewalt model which would have going back to Dewalt, after buying the greatest tool deal, The Milwaukee 20 tool kit with 6 pack battery charger and 4 batteries. So this saw goes perfect for my collection of needed tools👌👌👌👍👍👍
I just bought the new one but I was not sure how to use it and I was watching many videos I was still confused and thanks for your explanation to how to use it it’s more easy for me by watching your videos thanks
+Mike Smiley thanks buddy, and you're right!! This was totally like opening an awesome present from Santa. One that could cut off your fingers, but still pretty cool, LOL. In all seriousness I'll be using this puppy for several upcoming projects.
When you unboxed the saw with the clamp, there was a three sided piece of metal. What does that metal go to and where does it hook up to the saw and what does it do? Recently unboxed a new 10 inch Milwaukee miter saw. Looked and looked in the instruction book and cannot find anything about what that three sided metal piece does or where it goes. Thank you for your video. It was very informative and very helpful. But please tell me where that three sided metal piece goes!
Awesome saw and great video. Makes me want to run out and get one. Only problem is I still have my fathers chop saw. Don't wan to get rid of Dad's saw and I don't have room for both. Thanks!
Hey thanks for the great review and unboxing! i didn't know that it came with a finishing blade! I have been looking at this for the last month or so, Home Depot has it for $100 off and they'll throw in a 2nd 9.0 battery, i think i'll pick it up now
Pure Awesomeness brother!!! that saw looks amazing really wish I was able to afford one but just getting to watch it in action helps with the pain of not having one lol. keep up the great work and great videos always enjoy your uploads!!
+Mark Mckinney thanks man, yah it's impressive to see a battery powered saw perform like that. Nice that they give you two blades, those puppies aren't cheap.
I'm pretty sure you install the handles upside down. I just got the same saw at Home Depot, Black Friday, and it came with 2 9.0 batteries. Major score.
I'm so heartbroken that there are no options for extending out the wings, or adding a stop block. I know that there is the stand, but I already have a work bench set up the way I like ready to go. How could Milwaukee forget to provide something like this?
I love the fact that the saw goes back and forth in such a long sweep. I was cutting fence planks and had to flip it over to finish cutting the other side. The $700 price tag is a little hefty but worth it for the features.
Great video, I have one, love the power, and its cordless, have you looked down at the saw and look at the carrying handle,it looks like cracks at the handle base ..I still love it but they could have a smoother finish. Did you notice that
I really loved the "rabbit" feature in the saw. How do you compare this saw to the "Ridgid" sliding saw, especially when you think of Ridgids Life Time Warranty? Yet, liked your video on this saw.
that feature is pretty cool for woodworkers. I think Ridgid makes solid tools and I really love their battery warranty. They sent me a free batter for an old impact driver. Not sure how their saw compares to Milwaukee's. It would be cool to check out the Ridgid miter saw and see it in action. Their blade is only 7 1/4" versus 10". And the total RPM is a bit less for Ridgid. Hmmm, maybe I need to get my hands on one and do a side by side comparison ;)
Thank you! I'm so excited about all the additional features of this saw as I am just beginning my collection. Have you been happy with the battery as opposed to a plug?
have you had a chance to use the saw for an extended period of time? im interested in knowing what the battery life is on it, and am wondering if it would be a good choice for a jobsite saw.
haven't had a chance to use it all day, I'm not making a ton of cuts on any projects right now...maybe down the road. The nice part is that any M18 batteries will work with this saw, so if the High Demand battery dies you can use those.
A heads up to the UK buyers watching the US videos We don't get the shadow line as Dewalt owns the European patent , we get leds to light the bed . Fantastic saw nonetheless had mine 2 weeks
+David York so you want the rails fully extended out the back of the saw and then the distance from the front of the saw to the back of the fully extended rails? Just double checking
+snakemonkey555 your are the first this week, have to give you a shoutout in next week's video! Glad to know I'm not the only one not using the clamp, it's cool but I'm typically in a hurry and just hold whatever's being cut
+Ignacio Castellano thanks, both saws are powerful. I haven't used the DeWALT yet but have heard it's comparable and has a 12" blade. If you're using DeWALT tools I'd recommend staying with their system just for convenience. That said, if you're using M18 batteries the Milwaukee would be a better option
+David York looked at the instructions and Milwaukee site and both say 2x12 for the sliding cuts but nothing about the chop position. I'd have to test it to see
Hi Jeff, Can you tell me if you have tried it with the 5.0 battery and does it lose much power. I plan on buying the saw, I have 2 X 5.0 batteries and was wondering if i really need to buy the 9.0 battery. cheers Michael
+Michael Swan haven't tried it with the 5.0 yet, but that'll be up next. Should have done this experiment in the video!! Wasn't thinking. Any M18 battery will work. What kind of work do you plan on doing with the saw? Maybe I can do specific testing
Hi Jeff, Thanks for getting back to me so quick. I plan on doing some framing jobs not planning on using any timber bigger than 4 X 2. and smaller. I would only be making around 50 cuts of the 4 X 2 in a day. As i mentioned I have 2 X 5.0AH batteries and hope they will do the job. Cheers Michael
Although I haven't tested the 5.0 Ah batteries I bet you'd be fine. You could just get the bare tool, see how it performs and if you're happy with it then don't get the High Demand battery. I think it's a better deal though to get the High Demand battery as a kit with the miter saw. I'll try to make some cuts with the 5.0 Ah batteries on 2x4 and see how it performs!!
Thanks Jeff advice taken and will get bare tool to start with as it is not sold as a kit in Australia. Keep up the great work with the videos. Cheers Michael
+Mark sandoval Milwaukee says it'll make 400 cuts on one charge, in my experience that's probably a good estimate with the 9.0Ah battery. The battery has lasted or rather kept its charge very well. I've been impressed with it
I have not purchased mine yet, but would like to add some insight here for those comparing this to dewalts Flexvolt. I'm in the market for a true cordless miter saw. Both saws come with two batteries, yes. Only one saw doubles the run time with that extra battery , while the other requires the second battery. Yes the dewalt comes with a corded adapter. It would be nicer if it came with two extra batteries to double its run time( but that would be too much money) So looking at the saw for what it is( a CORDLESS miter saw) my feeling is that the Milwaukee is the better of the two if your not looking to rely on a cord for backup. It's also the most cost effective when it comes to cost of replacement batteries (remember dewalts two batteries need to be looked at as one battery). If you want corded saw, then by a corded saw ;-)
+32vquattro great explanation, I need to look at DeWALT's new cordless saw. Never thought about the added expense of buying two batteries. Milwaukee's does just need one. It'll be interesting to see if they develop a corded option for this saw down the road like DeWALT
What is the overall height of saw when it's closed & locked , & overall height locked closed on the bevel I need to know if this will fit under my shutter on back of pickup . Thanks
Home Repair Tutor Tools & Gear Thanks for reply Is that with or without clamps for a stand . It will be stored without a battery on so the smallest heights what I need . We don't get it in the UK until end of January but we can pre order but no one knows it's size over here . I've got the older 8" model but I'm thinking of upgrading as long as it fits
+Barkingtoad 1 that's the bare tool, no clamps for a stand. It's actually sitting in the back of my Subaru Outback under the protective cover in the trunk. I measured from the bottom of the trunk to the top of the cover and that's how I got 16". Wonder if it's the exact same model number in the U.K.?
Flores 828 Yeah, i've always liked DeWalt's approach with their tools having two power sources. I have their vacuum cleaner and it's same thing, POWAH! Is it that heavy?
I’m a 46 year old, mother of seven, learning new skills with home improvement. Your video answered all my questions! Thank you so much!
Thank you. Thank you for not acting like we are all experts at cutting things. Everything that you mentioned im so glad you did because I would've messed it up. This is my first miter saw and hopefully my last one for a while.
Don’t know if you figured it out or not, but you but the handles on upside down!
Great breakdown out of the box. Still valuable in 2024!
I've been wanting a battery powered saw and almost was forced to buying the Dewalt model which would have going back to Dewalt, after buying the greatest tool deal, The Milwaukee 20 tool kit with 6 pack battery charger and 4 batteries. I just bought the new one but I was not sure how to use it and I was watching many videos I was still confused and thanks for your explanation to how to use it it’s more easy for me by watching your videos thanks
Great review, bought one after seeing this today. Paid $478 at the Home Depot with the special buy of the day..I also got a 2nd 9.0 ah battery.
+jose zelaya that's an amazing deal with the 9.0 ah battery. Let me know what you think of the saw after using it
HUGE fan of Milwaukee (and Home Repair Tutor!) I feel like we got a glimpse into Christmas morning at your house! Haha! And awesome review!
+Mike Smiley thanks buddy, and you're right!! This was totally like opening an awesome present from Santa. One that could cut off your fingers, but still pretty cool, LOL. In all seriousness I'll be using this puppy for several upcoming projects.

totally understand, at least this bad boy is around if your chop saw stops working. But if it's good to go, no need to replace it ;)
Hey thanks for the great review and unboxing! i didn't know that it came with a finishing blade! I have been looking at this for the last month or so, Home Depot has it for $100 off and they'll throw in a 2nd 9.0 battery, i think i'll pick it up now
+bniel798 that's a great deal, the battery alone is $100. So the cost savings is huge. Let me know your thoughts on the performance 👍
Do you still like?
Totally sold me on the Saw man, now I need to decide how to buy. Thanks
Nice. Would love to see a similar detailed review on Milwaukee cordless planer. Thanks!
Pure Awesomeness brother!!! that saw looks amazing really wish I was able to afford one but just getting to watch it in action helps with the pain of not having one lol. keep up the great work and great videos always enjoy your uploads!!

+Judith Rushing yes, the 10" blade and rails come in super hardly for wide planks 👍
Not 700. Never was 700 for 10 inch..
Very thorough. Thanks for this awesome video
great review just an FYI you put the handles on upside down :)
Thanks, I'll have to take a look...they still work :)
Great video, I have one, love the power, and its cordless, have you looked down at the saw and look at the carrying handle,it looks like cracks at the handle base ..I still love it but they could have a smoother finish. Did you notice that
Great review... saw looks like a beauty!
one little thing ive noticed, flip both handles, you have them upside down.
What is the largest size crown molding that can be cut in the nested position?
can u make one video where u reposition handles so u can use them
Whats the size of the mitre saw? With and without handles. and when its in 48 degrees.
Thanks for the info and your experience
Good review, thanks. Have you used the saw for cutting any crown molding and if so how were the joints?
Hey that's cool, yes, I think that clamp would be very annoying. Thanks! Aaron
you know what's funny, I almost used that darn clamp yesterday. Maybe I shouldn't have been so quick to dismiss it, lol
How does the other blade compare with the clean cut you got with the general blade?
haven't used the other one yet. That general blade cuts pretty accurately. So I'd love to try the other one soon.
did you try connecting it to a dust collector? If so how was there a lot of dust?
Can you use this saw corded aswell
Great review! I'm getting one this week! Thanks for the info!
+JR RusticDesign let me know how you like it, the high demand 9.0 battery does make a big difference
Ridgid does have a 10" and 12" miter saw which is what I was alluding to.
very nice saw!
+Art Mudick will be using it more, very impressed with the power and portability the
Thank you! I'm so excited about all the additional features of this saw as I am just beginning my collection. Have you been happy with the battery as opposed to a plug?
How about use crown stops on it?.
hows the deck level, i have a craftsmen and the outter deck is slightly lower than the rotating deck so it messing with all my 45 cuts.
ive been thinking about getting one still doing reseach
how does it compare to the 7 1/4 DeWalt cordless saw, aside of the capacity?
Sweet. Nice job . Thanks.
thanks buddy, this saw is impressing me more and more as I use it. The power is amazing when you use the High Demand battery
what's the weight of your other miter saws? I have a rigid electric 10" chopsaw it's about 31lbs
didn't weigh them. They're not light either but if I had to guess the little Skil I have weighs in the 30s.
Where do you keep Allen key come with saw?
Great Review...
thanks, hope it was helpful
How many bars of the Battery did you have left?
how can i buy it here in Thailand don't know if they have stock here and how much it cost
Great review exactly what I needed!
great review
Thanks Justin
That is awesome. Hate to see how much it cost. I have been growing my Milwaukee Tools collection, but that might be too much $$$$$$.
+ysrpilot if you already have Milwaukee batteries you could get the bare tool, that would save some clams
have you had a chance to use the saw for an extended period of time? im interested in knowing what the battery life is on it, and am wondering if it would be a good choice for a jobsite saw.
haven't had a chance to use it all day, I'm not making a ton of cuts on any projects right now...maybe down the road. The nice part is that any M18 batteries will work with this saw, so if the High Demand battery dies you can use those.
Home Repair Tutor Tools & Gear
What’s the runtime with the 9.0 on the m18 one key saw all?
Cool saw
Thanks for the review
+Brandon Henry thanks 🙏
A heads up to the UK buyers watching the US videos We don't get the shadow line as Dewalt owns the European patent , we get leds to light the bed . Fantastic saw nonetheless had mine 2 weeks
If you don’t mind me asking. How much did you pay for this saw?
Has this saw been reliable ?
What is the depth of the saw fully set against the fence without dust bag ( ie rails fully extended w/o bag) . I am space limited. Thanks
+David York so you want the rails fully extended out the back of the saw and then the distance from the front of the saw to the back of the fully extended rails? Just double checking
Yes thanks - really small shop I have.
Great video!!! I'm subscribed now
Did you put the handles on upside down
Probably :/
I’m looking foreword to getting my own
Not sure if you eventually figured it out, but you put the handles on upside-down...
Great video, but you put the handles on upside down.
Do you know if they offer one in a 12 inch?
+Irish UdBlome pretty sure just 10 inches for now. This is now my primary miter saw, very pleased with the power and portability
nice video
+Jordan Barlow thanks
is this made in the US?
Clamp seems to be a good option but I think it'll get in the way so I think I wouldn't use it. Thanks for posting! BTW...first! Lol!
+snakemonkey555 your are the first this week, have to give you a shoutout in next week's video! Glad to know I'm not the only one not using the clamp, it's cool but I'm typically in a hurry and just hold whatever's being cut
Wondering could this replace a corded miter saw?
+Charles Jackson III depends on the battery and work material. The 9.0 Ah battery is best for this saw, and wood is no problem.
Home Repair Tutor Tools & Gear. I am still on the fence about cordless power saws
What model number is this?
Thanks for upload the nice review!👍 I'm subscribe your channel!
599 at HD with a extra battery. Got to have it
Great review my friend , I'm debating between Dewalt flex volt cordless miter saw or this one can't make up my mind what would you suggest thanks.....
Can it cut 5 1/2" in the chop position?Again , thanks
+David York looked at the instructions and Milwaukee site and both say 2x12 for the sliding cuts but nothing about the chop position. I'd have to test it to see
Yes it will cut 5-3/4 in vertical position.
Hi Jeff, Can you tell me if you have tried it with the 5.0 battery and does it lose much power. I plan on buying the saw, I have 2 X 5.0 batteries and was wondering if i really need to buy the 9.0 battery. cheers Michael

Michael Swan thanks buddy, interesting to know the kit isn't available in Australia.
LOL, YOU MOUNTED THE HANDELS UPSIDE DOWN
how many cuts per battery life would u average on the 9.0
+Mark sandoval very hard to say because it depends on the material. What materials do you use?
Home Repair Tutor Tools & Gear 2×4 4×4 daily basis
+Mark sandoval Milwaukee says it'll make 400 cuts on one charge, in my experience that's probably a good estimate with the 9.0Ah battery. The battery has lasted or rather kept its charge very well. I've been impressed with it
Home Repair Tutor Tools & Gear cool thanks for the insite bro.
OK IM SOLD WHERE CAN I GET ONE
+John Guerra the Home Depot has it for $499 (bare tool) or $599 (battery & tool) 👍
I like the Milwaukee saw.
Hey buddy, you put the handles on upside down.
You did install the handle upside down Lol 😂
Jesus Patino yes he did lol
thanks very much
Nice I love Milwaukee
Same here, they make solid tools
Good video. A little too fast, and the handles were put on upside down. The top should be smooth metal.
I have not purchased mine yet, but would like to add some insight here for those comparing this to dewalts Flexvolt. I'm in the market for a true cordless miter saw. No the 10 dewalt does not come with a power adapter only the 12 does..
nice review! this saw is still seem pricy
it's not cheap but is totally worth the money. Plus they give you two blades, so those are worth $40-$60.
Krasava!
cool
Enter me into the random give aways please! I'm a handyman and use only Milwaukee tools and I would love to receive some new stuff.... Thanks
handles are upside down.
10 inch blade is too big for a 18 volt motor it will not hold up you hear how it struggles with fresh treated wood
+Big Daddy it works very well, have t had any issues but I'll keep you posted
Like dewalt
Lol!
my dewalt flexvolt still better then this lol
I'd need to test out the new DeWALT cordless miter to see, no doubt both companies make good products.
What is the overall height of saw when it's closed & locked , & overall height locked closed on the bevel I need to know if this will fit under my shutter on back of pickup . Thanks
+Barkingtoad 1 overall height is roughly 16" in closed in locked position...I'd have to check the bevel position
Home Repair Tutor Tools & Gear thanks for that , I have a Nissan Navara with a roller shutter top I'll have to go measure that
my dewalt flexvolt still better then this lol
Flores 828 How good is the DeWalt one? I've been thinking about a miter saw for a while and the DeWalt caught my attention.
Ali Haidar its awesome bro its like having a full complete miter saw with no cons because if you run out of power you can always plug it in
Flores 828 Yeah, i've always liked DeWalt's approach with their tools having two power sources. I have their vacuum cleaner and it's same thing, POWAH! Is it that heavy?
Ali Haidar yeah it is heavy but i have it on a miter saw stand its on my page i have some videos
