I fixed a 450$ timer board from Germany today. I learned EVERYTHING I needed to complete the job from Northridge Fix videos. You sir, are a hero in my eyes.
Thumbs up, I applaud your professionalism. If it were me, there would've been a lot of expletive words used during when you jumped up from the power supply sparking, lol. Nice though, too bad the motherboard was all messed up.
if something looks bad then I would expect it to be bad... melted power connectors can be really shocking! glad you escaped injury with this one... I wouldnt have trusted that power connector as it was melted, it kind of hinted at something was off, but fair play you kept your calm, no bad words, and your head didnt meet the ceiling when you jumped... its always more tricky with things that have been 'fiddled with' please stay safe as I enjoy the entertainment!
That’s disgusting! The owner melts everything and doesn’t deserve to have that logic board great again ;-) never seen something so screwed up. Cheers up!
I had a recent customer that said his RTX 3090 wouldn't fit in his system because of the water cooler. He stated that he tried to make it fit by going to some website and following the directions but afterwards the graphics card wouldn't work. I took the card and discovered that he thought the grommets that held on the passive heat plate were rivets. He tried to remove it by using a Dremel and grinded them off. Then used something to try and pry the active cooling heatsink, from the other side, off. He had destroyed so much of the board and tore off so many pads and components it was a Hiroshima times 10. He destroyed a $3000 card over a $120 cooling system. I suggested Northridge Fix. But, honestly, I don't think anyone could have fixed it. Especially with the ripped off VRAM chip with most of the pads missing. Totally insane.
hi. Amazing work, my 27" iMac 2017 has 5 diagnostic LED light, in this case, 1 LED light would be for power and 2 would be communication between power and motherboard and 5 would be for display, then what would be 3 and 4 led? if u don't mind to explain about it. Thanks From Canada.
You know what caused this?...to much diy videos. People think that is simple to fix anything just watching UA-cam. It happens to me more and more, people try to fix, make a disaster and then bring it to me, and everyone says they watched UA-cam:) You should charge them double, this is how I do. By the way, you skills are incredibly good! Keep up the good work! Thanks!
You should try the iMac without the screen first. Once you know it is powering on, then time to plug the screen and see if you get a picture. That would save you from dying... ;-)
pleae, what is that Gel you use. It seems to make everything flow so well (and so clean!). Love the videos. helps me to understand what all the components do.
I love your working I do hot air solder but also i really want to know soldering as well i do but not really good can you please tell me which flux and solder do you use
Omg 🤦♂️🤦♂️I had one ps 4 pro other day person take somewhere to get fix but that person made big mass he solder all pins each other 🤦♂️🤦♂️ why people do this if you not understand don't touch
It's better to have too much than not enough. Not all flux is the same and some evaporate quicker because they are thinner/lighter so you need more. Use Rosin flux thinned out with alcohol and put into squeezer bottle like a zipper fuel bottle. It is cheap and works very well.
Nice mess done by the owner. It was colossal damage he did. I mean why are you trying to do something like this without any knowledge and equipment for it? Now you have not mac and this could have been such easy job for a pro guy.
that video was pretty hilarious lol...damn that customer really F that board up lol. you might burn down the place if you continue to work on that board

Feels great doesn’t it?
انت عربي!! ماشاء الله عليك ..
انصدمت لما شفتك تتكلم عربي😂😂
تحياتي لك .. انت أفضل من رأيت في مجال صيانة الالكترونيات.
وفقك الله
I must say, it is extremely calming watching you work.

Made me jump! Not as bad as shorting out the B+ on a 6L6, but still made me jump! That connector is toast!! Glad you're okay!
الحمد لله على سلامتك انت والخال .. ماس قوي والله!
13:17 YOU SCARED ME DUDE 😳
IT WAS SO HORRIBLE 😱

Owner mentioned missing pad and component. I didn't expect that much damage

That makes me sick. Literally the definition of “more money than sense.”
Salaam brother
Nice channel, you're very experienced with your work probably 1 of the best I've seen, keep the videos coming ;).
oh boy, i hate those jobs... should be at least two times higher in price...

Wow amazing work. 😉
well done
Scared me to death 13:16 - wow!
Great job again like always
Thank God you did not hurt
What did the customer use to try and solder it with, a blow torch?
Wow Sacaré Me

Oh boy. Another DIY Disaster! A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. :)

It's flux. Type that he used in the video is Amtech 559.
Awesome ✌✌✌
well done / thank you
Nice video, any ideas why apple cinema(2008) lcd goes off and on after turning brightness more up.
انت معلم ، بعرف انك عم تفهم عربي لهيك عم اكتب بالعربي
Hey man. Your video description is wrong - Please check it. There are two descriptions, one about some ASUS laptop and one about the iMac EFI.
Hello brother MacBook A1369 color not clear what's Repair ?
I love your working I do hot air solder but also i really want to know soldering as well i do but not really good can you please tell me which flux and solder do you use
Flux amzn.to/2UnYMzK and Solder amzn.to/2EKQwDg
Do you sell those resistors as well sir
Just to confirm; the wire you use is insulated but you don't need to scrape the ends off as the insulation will melt away by itself?
Wire not insulated. amzn.to/2EZLkge. It wasn't touching anything. I was going to mask it after i confirm iMac working.
Omg 🤦♂️🤦♂️I had one ps 4 pro other day person take somewhere to get fix but that person made big mass he solder all pins each other 🤦♂️🤦♂️ why people do this if you not understand don't touch
It's like he used a stick Welder.... holy crap
Couldn’t you just swap the cable out and see if that fixes it? Worth a try for a 5 min job
And trust the power supply after it made that noise? Fat chance. No way. f i r e h a z z a r d
pissed myself a little! lol
could you explain how this wires work, why only beingconductive on their endpoints? thanks
Coating.
Great work jumpering is owsum u done imposible things coz i know its tipicle
well in future like same cases instead of return to customer asked him to change the board because alot of mess in it easy way to fix
hey you should cut off some basses, and boost some 7k the mic sounds really woofy
Mic was not connected properly first 90 sec of the video.
Why are you use too much of soldering Flux? Please Anawser
It's better to have too much than not enough. Not all flux is the same and some evaporate quicker because they are thinner/lighter so you need more. Use Rosin flux thinned out with alcohol and put into squeezer bottle like a zipper fuel bottle. It is cheap and works very well.
Wow that was a mess, don’t know why people attempt these type of repairs. When the PCB is burnt it becomes conducive and consequently useless.
I wonder why that EFI chip looked like it was bent

Its sounds like ashort on high frequency towers 🤣
I am First to comment, Like your all videos
:-) You win a 🏆
Funniest video ever 😂😂😂
that video was pretty hilarious lol...damn that customer really F that board up lol. you might burn down the place if you continue to work on that board
That person was using a hot glue gun to solder chips in place...
tbh, he shouldnt have tried it
he knew better lol
scared the shoot of him LOL
looks like he used it as a hibachi then sent it in for repair
I fix it 80/h
You fix than send it 160/h
You try to negotiate a price after fixing it, refuse the work
خارب البورد خراب هذا 😂
U shouldn't accept that motherboard in that condition. For me that is garbage!
14:53 you speak arabic ?
😁😁😁😁😂
OMG. This board looks disgusting.
This board is worse than a Hiroshima bomb more like a tsar x2
