I use a 13 mini daily. I have the latest mac, watch, ipad and buds but when it comes to the phone I'm staying with 13 mini until it dies. For good measure I also bought a spare BNIB :) The daily is midnight and the spare is green. Both are gorgeous and I don't use a case. When I bought the phone boxed and mint it had 95% battery health and after a year its 89%. I'll probably get the battery replaced when it goes sub 85%. After a typical days use my 13 mini has about 30% battery left when it goes onto the bedside wireless charger, where in landscape mode it serves as my bedside clock and alarm. As for small iphones coming back, it wont be for a few years but never say never. By a fluke of history and tech development where most tech gets smaller over time, phones have gotten larger. I remember the original Nokia & Erikson flip phones - tiny! - and even today the Motorola 50 Ultra flip is very small, albeit a foldable. Fashions come and go.
I’m running a 12 mini that I had to refurbish myself. Great size coming from a 1st gen SE, I like having a phone that can still fit in my pocket in this day and age.
I've had one for 3 months and it's amazing! I had to update to a 12 pro max because this days I'm studying everyday in the bus. But the portability of the minis are so good.
I would LOVE to see them bring back the mini! It’s my “go to” travel device! I travel a lot for work and my 13 mini is my travel device! I don’t know what I’ll switch to once it’s unusable.
Exactly! I think the issue with 13 mini wasn't really the lack of market for small iPhone, the market is small but stable and they saturated it with iPhone 12 mini as a lot of people don't really see a reason for yearly upgrade. If they released small flagship iPhone every 2 or 3 years it would sell reasonably well.
As a 13PM user I could punch myself for not getting the 13 mini before they discontinued it. It’s a unicorn in the world of humongous phones. I hope the mini has a comeback, either as se or a new model.
No chance as a SE.. The SE 4 is expected to be way bigger than the 13 mini. The SE 4 is gonna be a regular midrange phone in terms of size. Maybe a little bit smaller but huge compared to the mini. A real shame.
I believe if Apple ever makes a new mini they will make it a 5.8 inch iphone similar to the 11 pro. Yes it would still be bigger than a mini but with flat edges and drastically thinner bezels it would be quite a bit smaller than most iPhones. This would still be compact enough for most people and would give a bit of extra room for a bigger battery.
When I held a XS in a boxy case, I thought it was a 12 mini and didn’t know the 12 mini was smaller than the XS. The one I held felt really small for my hands
I have the 12 mini, I’ve had it for over 3 years now, I got it a month before the 13 mini came out. (I was impatient, don’t judge me… also I love the dark blue colour which was only available on the 12 mini and I wanted the matching dark blue watch lol) I still adore it and I’m still sad they discontinued the mini phones. Whenever people see my phone they seem to think it’s tiny, but I am so used to it. I had the 6S Plus before it for the novelty of the giant size, but it became really annoying, I couldn’t fit it in most of my pockets and I couldn’t type with one hand. Being able to do both of those things is important to me, I have very small hands so it just makes sense to have a mini phone! The battery isn’t great, but I have a MagSafe battery pack which is perfect for if I’m out for a longer time and need to use my phone more heavily, but most of the time I’m indoors and keep my phone on charge all the time. It’s still perfect for my needs, I don’t experience any slowness. I don’t ever want to get rid of this phone, I dread the day when it becomes unusuable! Hopefully by then Apple have brought out another mini phone… I can only hope! 🤞
I have the 13mini and haven’t looked back. I love it ❤. Also the 13mini looks great with its accessories such as MagSafe wallet and MagSafe battery pack. I do have to charge it daily but it does get me through the whole day. I can’t see me changing to another phone anytime soon.
I upgraded my iPhone 12 mini to a 16 Pro a couple weeks ago and I must, say I kinda miss the smaller size bc it was sooo much more handy. Even though I love my 16 Pro, I haven‘t gotten used to it yet and I don‘t know if I ever will 😅 I miss using my phone comfortably with one hand
Upgraded from the XS to a mint condition Product Red 13 Mini in January this year. Really complements my iPad Mini. Just wish Apple made the latter in the same colour. Thanks for the content.
I bought the iPhone 13 Mini a few days before the iPhone 15 released, and I'm still using it today as my main phone. The maximum capacity has dropped extremely quickly compared to my original iPhone XR, which had a capacity of 94% (had it from 2020 - 2023), my 13 Mini has a maximum capacity of 86% - I have to keep a magsafe portable charger on me at all times because it usually doesn't last me the entire day. Besides the charge however, it's the one of the best phones Apple has released, I really wished they made smaller phones because I don't need a tablet-sized phone in my pocket
What bugs did you experience in iOS 18 on the Mini? The chipset is still fairly modern. I think they even reused it in the iPhone 14, so I'd expect things to run smoothly and bug-free.
I got a 13 mini from amazon renewed last week. Pink 512gb in their advertised "excellent condition" for 370. No scratches at all, although there is a weird small smudge on the screen that is visible only when the screen is turned off. Battery was replaced and had the battery message, but after updating the phone to iOS18, the battery is now showing as "used" and has 86% health (Amazon renewed advertise as over 80% minimum). Not bad for the prices, really. Could have waited to see how the SE4 will come out, but since it'll probably be a 6.1" screen and potentially have a higher started price (I'm guess $450 for a 128gb base model), might as well get the 13 mini.
My first iPhone was 12 Mini, I love this phone so much, so comfortable and easy to use. I had to change my phone 6 months ago because of battery, got 15 pro and I miss the size of mini iPhone so much. My mom is using this phone now and sometimes I like to use it for a while to see how much I liked this device.
i have had my 13 mini since june 2022 and i don't think i can ever bring myself to upgrade... unless of course apple releases a new one! then of course i will get one immediately!!
I really wish they released a 16 mini, would’ve bought in a heartbeat. I had the 12 mini then the 13 mini and i just got the 15 pro used. Without a case, it is almost like using the mini tbh, it feels good in the hand :) nothing can compare to the lightness of the mini but this is a good alternative if you want something more modern that has 120hz. I tried the 14 pro before and sold it because it was too heavy but this one is do able i promise!
@ yeaaa, would’ve loved a 16 mini. i was tempted to get the 15 pro when it came out but i can’t part with my 13 mini just yet. maybe in a couple years i could reconsider upgrading hahaha
I run the 13 mini as my daily, though I'd still be running the OG SE if reception was better. The 13 mini is small, but the 5 was still the best size. A full screen iPhone SE 2016 would be a dream come true.
I just traded mine in a few months ago because the battery was atrocious and it'd quickly overheat. I had it less than three years and my battery health was on 79%. Switched to an iPhone 15 and the battery is a lot better and it doesn't overheat as much. I enjoy the larger screen now that I've found a better case than the last time which isn't so bulky.
I still use an iPhone 5se. When I pulled it out in a local shop to buy some stuff, the staff serving me were laughing at it. Eventually MDC happened and then the Dopamine jailbreak and I’m honestly content. I have other phones on higher versions for apps that dropped iOS 15 support when I need it. Nothing beats carrying around the mini ❤
I would have gotten it if I had not gotten the 12 the year prior. Wish they still made smaller phones. I love using my iPhone SE first gen every once in awhile when I step out
I have my 13mini for 2 yrs now. And will keep using it until apple stop supporting it, a new mini comes out, or a new compelling iphone is released. So far, it ain't the 16 series.

I have to think Apple is going to release a new iPhone mini at some point. They know how many are still in use and they know we’re holding on to them as long as we can. Not everyone games or watches movies or videos on their phones and the mini is far more easy to use, as you noted. Still using my iPhone 12 mini since it was released, still 87% battery life.
My first iPhone was 11, coming from a Galaxy S9, the screen was definitely a downgrade, not to mention the bezels were too thick and the phone was just too large. So I couldn't wait to switch to 12 mini when it came out. The screen was still behind Samsung's but at least its small footprint felt good in the hand. I'm still amazed by how reliable iOS is after 3.5 yrs, even though it was noticeably getting slower. When convenience from a small phone gradually became annoyance from a small screen, I started to feel like I did not fit in anywhere when everybody else had a "regular" sized phone. The biggest issue, however, was that it was getting too hot when on a video call and the battery couldn't even last an hour. So I bought the new 16 as soon as it came out and I did not miss the smaller phone. That being said, I did not trade it in but kept the 12 mini as a backup device to use when I travel to other countries where a physical sim card is needed. But it sure would've been nice to have the 13 mini as the backup instead.

iphone 13 mini is still my daily driver since January 2023. battery health is at 89%. Won’t be upgrading unless it dies on me! I just love this phone so much.❤
@NateCrail Well I can't say I'm a heavy user. Nowadays the only time I use my phone alot is during class when I go to college and maybe weekends, but most of the time I watch UA-cam on my TV so I guess I'm not that much of a heavy user
Bad battery is not an argument at all. You can’t expect battery life to be like in Nokia 3310😅 considering how much power goes for internet, Bluetooth and cellular data. Small phones are for people who use phones as phones and laptops for the other stuff as it should be. Even 12 mini will be enough.
I didn’t even think about trading in my mini, and I didn’t even care how much money they were offering for it. In the end, I decided to give it to my daughter, and she absolutely loves it!
Apple discontinuing the mini iPhone along with other stuff I don’t need to get into has led me to hate Apple, I still like their products up until the iPhone 14 but i think the mini iPhone will be my last iPhone because I don’t wanna lug around an iPad
As an iPad mini user I’ve just had to come to accept Apples mini versions of stuff like the iPhone or iPad just don’t sell anywhere near as well as the bigger ones, so they’ll always be an afterthought. At this point I’m just grateful they didn’t discontinue the iPad mini too even though the update was a joke.
Apple said that there was low demand. I call BS on that and disagree. I think they got rid of it because, they didn't get the margins on that phone as much as they wanted. from the people I've talked to, they were all elderly and older people that told me they loved this phone. including both of my grandparents from both my mom's and dad's side said they loved it. one of my grandma's does wish Apple still made a small 4 inch phone with a home button. You can still get in until Apple discontinues it but once its gone, its gone.
Oh yes the SE 4! Hmm now I’m curious too, I think it’s likely that Apple would make it the same size as the iPhone 16 but with previous year’s internals. Let’s wait and see!

I had it and loved it! But it got very hot, though now I realize newer iPhone get extremely hot
I literally just bought a iPhone 13 mini used today
I've been using my 13 mini for 3 years and absolutely love it.
Hi. The minis still get updates right? I was thinking of exchanging my XR and S+10 with a 13 mini
@@Chinaw-b4n Yes, through at least 2026, but likely longer.
@NateCrail I see, I was thinking of exchanging both my iphone XR and S10+ with it, do you think it would be worth it?
@@Chinaw-b4n Depends on how much you use your phone. The battery life isn't great, especially if you're a heavy phone user.
@NateCrail Well I can't say I'm a heavy user. Nowadays the only time I use my phone alot is during class when I go to college and maybe weekends, but most of the time I watch UA-cam on my TV so I guess I'm not that much of a heavy user
I’m using the iPhone SE 2016, might upgrade eventually to the SE3 as I want a brand new and not second hand
i just wish they would use a mini form factor for the SE. Make it like 450€ and it will sell like hotcakes
i got an iPhone 11 for a daily driver
it does more than enough for me
although im on my ipad 40% of the time on a normal day
They need to just bring it back as a "budget" offering in the SE line or something
Agreed!
How did I catch you in 35 seconds..
Same 😭
I didn’t even think about trading in my mini, and I didn’t even care how much money they were offering for it. In the end, I decided to give it to my daughter, and she absolutely loves it!
I really don't get how the mini phones are unpopular. So many of my friends are rocking the 12 mini!
The Mini Phones weren’t popular because the battery life was awful, too small and it overheats.
I rly thought it was a mini when I got my 2021 iP 13 from my dad’s 2017 iP 8 plus.
bro i just bought iphone 13 mini a second hand though as an upgrade from my well serviced iphone 8 for 7 yrs, hehe 🎉🎉 i really love it
I wanna a mini with Dynamic Island…why apple why stop it 😢
I had it and would’ve still used it today if it wasn’t for the poor battery life 😢
I actually want one for my birthday, so hopefully there is still some around 😀
sony i think also stop producing compact phone like xperia compact.
Apple discontinuing the mini iPhone along with other stuff I don’t need to get into has led me to hate Apple, I still like their products up until the iPhone 14 but i think the mini iPhone will be my last iPhone because I don’t wanna lug around an iPad
I hear ya. I would maybe hold out until the SE 4 to see if it’s worth checking out!
I’ve been using the 13 mini for the last 2 months and it feel like using a 5s….so perfect. Finally I can have my coffee in my other hand 😅
Really loved this iPhone
I love my 13 mini ❤️
350$ for 13 mini, 499$ for legion go... the Price in the us are so cheap... 13 mini still cost 800$ used in good condition where I live😂
In us u can get a used 15 pro for 800 😭
Wishing new iphone se will be of this size
Best for one hand use
bruv what about the iphone se 4th gen ? is it not gonna be a mini phone ? did i get my hopes up for no reason
Oh yes the SE 4! Hmm now I’m curious too, I think it’s likely that Apple would make it the same size as the iPhone 16 but with previous year’s internals. Let’s wait and see!
@iClassic yea let's see
I’m also using the 13mini model. It‘s in midnight color. Where can I buy the case that appeared in the video? 😊😊
Awesome! I got this case from a store called Ross!
@@iClassic Thank you! I‘ll look for it too!
