Translating Finnish Songs #8 | Puhekieli, Finglish & Slang Practice ● UMK24 🎶 (PART 2)

The UMK (Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu) song contest will be held in February this year. Seven Finnish artists will be performing their songs and the winner will represent Finland in the Eurovision contest this May. Four of the songs are sung in Finnish, so in this video I will be translating the first verse and choruses of three of them.

Thank you Katya for the video. I watched all seven and I think I have a toss up between Mikael Gabriel & nublu's, Vox Populi and Sara Siipola, P*skana although I did find the other ones interesting. If xyz-s is a common way to abbreviate xyz-ssa, how do you differentiate between xyz-ssa and xyz-sta? (And, probably, the same can be asked about xyz-lla, xyz-lta and xyz-lle.)

xyz-st = xyz-sta
xyz-l = xyz-lla
xyz-lt = xyz-lta
xyz-lle - not abbreviated
