    I absolutely love this classic set! As a beginner, the thickness actually helps and gives me time to sculpt without it running everywhere. I also just really love their concealer pink color. Between this and mia secret covers, I'm good to go. I personally really like them and their videos and that they don't require a license to purchase.

    I absolutely love this system!!! Young nails have really changed my nail game fr.... Ik the prices are a little on the higher side but it’s definitely worth it!! I enjoy the acrylic system too!! Quick tip for my nail ppl on a budget.,.. stock up on supplies during their sales!!! I really really want to THANK YOU Miss Lissette for inspiring me to get my buns back into doing nails after over 10 years of bn a bystander lol!! You are such a great nail artist and I APPRECIATE YOU!!!
    If you warm up ur thicker gels they move a little easier, and yes they do burn if you go in with a thicker layer (I don’t put my hand all the way in the light I ease it in n it helps) I need to get a light with a lower light setting.

    Thanks hun for all your hard work. I saw products that had similarities to cheaper versions of the same products but at the higher end prices. Don’t even talk to me about heat spikes lol, every one I’ve tried give heat. I like YN products. They do have gels that have a thinner viscosity that you would probably like more but I do believe they put more sculptor gels over their cover gels in the gel kits. I think you would like their concealor (not cover - my bad wrote cover first lol ) gels more

      @@LissetteCruz I meant to say concealers not cover lol but I feel like the clear one is more runny. Have you ever tried luxa polish's build gel? Build 1 would probably have more of a viscosity you would like over the build 2. Both self level but build 1 moved faster

  • @CharriseRenee911
    @CharriseRenee911 3 роки тому +4

    I LOVE the build gel. After trying a lot of other gels, I keep going back to YN Build. I will say I can only cure it under the low heat setting (especially the thicker concealer gels) because 🔥💥🔥💥 but build isn't as bad at all. It's still loose enough to self level but strong enough to create structure and build the apex

  • @katrinasheets2997
    @katrinasheets2997 3 роки тому +2

    Lissette you're so funny! The gels in the pots are their older formula and do have a higher heat spike. To avoid that, do a very thin layer first and cure it for 30 seconds outside of the lamp, then do a full cure inside. Once you have cured the first layer, you can do a regular thick layer and you shouldn't have any heat spike.....it's just that first layer. Their new Precision Applicators (like Makartt Qik Gel is their second generation formula and has virtually no heat spike. The base gel has the highest heat spike of all, which is why they recommend applying it in a very very thin layer (almost dry brushing) and it's not suitable for building extensions because of the intensity of the heat spike. When I first started working with the cover pink, the super thick viscosity was so hard for me to work with, but with some practice you'll learn to love it, I promise. When you set the bead in the center of your nails, roll it in a circle for about 10-15 seconds and that will loosen it up so you can easily pull it down as usual. I love Young Nails products and use them all the time along with my IBD gels. The Precision Applicators are great for your non-dominant hand. They have tons of videos and evi know about gel I learned from them and YOU!!! And if you have any questions let me know.....I'd be happy to help! This set is absolutely GORGEOUS......so classy and elegant!

    Been looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this set! I bought their starter kit back I think on their Black Friday sale and got two since they were basically bogo at the time. Their clear sculpture doesn't burn me but their concealer pink definitely does. But when it starts to get warm, that's when I pull my nail out and pinch it so it doesn't really bother me. I agree about their brush. I love the shape and size but at $21 full price, I want a damn lid lol. I'm really surprised about those tips. They're supposed to be a young and modern brand - you'd think they'd have the kind of tips everyone wants, not the kind that were popular 15 years ago. 🤷‍♀️ And I'm so glad you showed that Sets glitter! Omg girrrrrrrl, yes, their gels do burn like a mofo. I ended up using the low setting on my lamp, the 120 second one is low for the first 60 seconds and then full for the last 60 seconds. If you have that option, try it. If not, hang on to your old lamps that are lower wattage and flash cure for 5 seconds at a time till the heat spikes dissipate. All the same, it's a PITA that they make so many bold claims and literally NO ONE I've known has had a no-burn experience. As for the videos, I LOVVVVE all of your videos, so adding in some trial and error videos would be great too. 👍🖤 I adore ya girlfriend!! 🖤

    • @LissetteCruz
      @LissetteCruz  3 роки тому

      I dont mind the gel burning. I know how to work with gel so I don't get heat spikes. I honestly don't think there is a gel out there that doesn't burn. What bothers me is that it says on the jar "little to no heat" when it clearly heqted up like crazy and burns like a mofo. 🤣🤣

  • @jacquelinebanks1660
    @jacquelinebanks1660 3 роки тому +1

    • @katrinasheets2997
      @katrinasheets2997 3 роки тому +1

      Hey Christine! When using their white, do a very thin layer of clear first if you're sculpting on paper forms. Then remove the form, apply the white, and that should help cure from top and bottom. If using tips, use clear tips and that should also help. I've never had any issues with it not curing but I also have a very strong lamp. Hope this helps a little!!

That's so weird because my lamp cures their white with no problem and I want to say the one I'm using right now is 48 watts....it might be 54 but I think this one is 48. Do you follow Young Nails on UA-cam or IG? I'd reach out to Greg Salo and ask him. Maybe you got a bad batch? They're super helpful and they may even exchange it for you, or at the very least be able to troubleshoot with you above what I recommended. Their products are not cheap so I hate to think you aren't able to use it. And yes, girl.....a crisp all white set is soooooo beautiful!!!
