“How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
Welcome to the Young Nails family!
Nobody makes it look as easy as you do...
Flawless as always Greg !!
😊
Thank you for all the wonderful things you all at YN do for us.
Yes 🙌👍👍👍🫶🌸
I have went to nail school and completed my nail tech diploma, but from time to time when I feel
Like I need a refresher course I can always count on young nails. A lot of my skills now were and are acquired by watching their educational nail videos. Their teaching is awesome and easy to follow and understand. I have also been using their products from the very beginning and they have never failed me! Absolutely love young nails. I feel they are the OG of the nail industry ❤
❤❤❤❤ I appreciate the tips and support YN gives us! Love every video!
Always super content from YOUNG NAILS for as long as I am watching, approx, 15 yrs. super Greg, always 🙏😎
Love love LOVE your whole company- the products, your tutorials, and the people. Top quality and so much knowledge. I’m sure your Mother is proud.
It's taken me four of five times to figure the gel out, your tutorials have been my Bible 😂 love you guys for that ❤
❤ great video, we all need reminded and when it's a visual reminder it's even better!
I absolutely LOVE you!!! Thank you for being awesome and sharing it with others! I've learned sooo much! I appreciate it!

Perfection ❤
Thank you!!
Thank you grage for showing me how to do gell
Awesome as always!
Is your brush prepped with anything before application? Should it be completely dry? I see many videos where it looks wet. Thanks for the thorough tutorial. Lots of great communication needed for learning.
We do not prep our gel brushes with anything. We do like to keep gel in the brush so it helps keep its shape.
Youre PERFECT.thank you!
Very helpful 👌 thanks!😊
Awesome. Waiting for next sale. As I was checking out the price changed.
Hey I would like to have a video about allergic reaction and what gel or acrylic can be used without painful reactions. Thanks so much, love your videos 😊
As nail techs, we are not trained to diagnose any diseases or disorders. If there is something in/on the nail that appears abnormal, it's best to refer them to their healthcare provider.
so perfect!
You are amazing ❤
❤❤❤ Beautiful!
Is there a liquid you dip your brush into to keep the gel from sticking to your brush like the polygel or is this completely different 🤔
No, we don't have anything we dip the brush into before picking up gel.
wow!!!!!
You're too kind!
Thanks Greg❤
Thank you so much u explained it so well❤
Need to know if you guys ship to Jamaica? Thanks always for your educational contents. ❤
Our website only ships to the continental US. We will link our list of distributors so you can see who sells our products near you. If you don’t see a distributor in your country, simply zoom out on the map until the closest one pops up and get in contact to see if they ship to your location. www.youngnails.com/pages/locate-distributor

Thanks
❤ thanks YN! Do you guys have an online nail school? Is there such a thing lol
Please email ray@youngnails.com for more information on our upcoming classes. Must be 18+ for classes.

Is the base just clear gel?
We do have a clear base gel as well as a concealer peach and concealer pink base gel.
The clear base gel isn't just any clear gel. Base has the most resin in it to anchor onto your nails. Base is your foundation for your nail. Never build with base.
Do you have to use forms or can you use tips ?
You can use tips but you have to make sure you completely remove the shine so you don't have a smooth surface when applying the gel over. Gel will not stick to a shiny or smooth surface.
Hello what is the nail dust catcher called? Thx

Can you use form to extend nails
Yes you can.

I feel like if Greg just lowered his voice an octave he could pass for Nicolas Cage. Is it just me who thinks that?

Hl - what brush are you using?☺️
This is Greg’s Signature brush, size 12.
What hand files/buffer were you using?
We use our 150 grit hand file for shaping.
I didn't know you can add builder gel on top of a dry one without a putting base.
You must have missed it. He did. The 1st application was base gel. 😊

wickedsmart
i need to use that much product???😨
We teach this as a speed technique. Once you are proficient with using an e-file, it is faster in our opinion to apply enough product to make sure the strength and structure is there and then file into shape. That way you don't have to go back and forth with possibly needing more product after filing.
