Good discussion on custom 1911's. I daily carry a Kimber TLE II in .45acp and have for years. It has never failed me. In fact, I have two identical TLE's as one is a backup to my primary carry. I did change the full-length guide rod out for a Wilcon Combat GI, replaced the springs with Wolf springs and do every 1000 rounds. The main spring housing was replaced with ED Brown arched as I prefer this over a flat main spring housing. I also replaced the grip screws with slotted and use the stock Kimber rubber grips preferring those over the G10 options. The only magazines I use are Wilson Combat and with over 3K rounds, this TLE II has been excellent in training classes, range sessions and shooting events. I know people hate on Kimber but I have had nothing but good reliable service from mine. Thanks again.
I'm CRUSHED you didn't include the Baer TRS in this discussion. :D As an aside, a discussion on the High-End mfgs vs the major production companies would also be a good session. i.e. "Why is a Wilson, Baer, Brown, Staccato worth so much more than a Springfield/Kimber?" Good content in this episode as always. :-)
I was able to acquire a colt original WFN84 Wayne Novak combat 1911. With swenson parts nm match camp Perry kart barrel and bushing stamped wfn84 slide and mainspring housing etc. any thoughts on this pistol?

I would love to document that pistol!!!
I would own a different custom 1911 for each day of the week if the finances were available.
Why not, eating is overrated!!😁
