    Every Tuesday I’ll bring you tutorials, tool reviews and vlogs all about plastering.
    My name’s Anthony and I’m a third generation plasterer from Prestatyn in North Wales. I’ve been plastering since 1999 and I’ve had the fortune to have been taught by my dad. I want to help spread the knowledge that I’ve learnt and to keep developing my skills. Plastering is an ever evolving trade and I would love for you to join me on my journey.

      Time so not getting the experience I need a the moment so trying to get little jobs.
      Eventually I’d like it to be my main source of income.

      @@werdna21 dont worry about getting in to it late, you're body will last longer in the trade now.. It kicks the arse out of you when you're busy

    Good advice about being comfortable.. sounds daft but I wondered why no one really mentions this.. Everyone mentions the main stuff but you don't want to be faffing around at the wrong height etc.

    Great video. Camera wide angles are really good. Perhaps a warning should be given...you need a strong arm and shoulder for a ceiling. Even if you have the technique and are not used to it your arm feels like it will fall off....

    thanks, this is really useful. what brand of plaster are you using please? you seem to be using the same stuff for every layer and i'm trying to get something like that but have quit online searches due to the bewildering choice.

    Useful tips nice work however the elevated platforms with the gap between them are a serious falling hazard.

    Do you apply the 2nd coat with the same mix that was used for the first coat ?

    Hi Antony, after applying your 2nd coat, do u not flatten it with the speedskim ? Or do u prefer to use a trowel to flatten the 2nd coat. Thanks great videos

    Anthony how come you dont tape all the screw heads up? im here to learn.

      There’s no need to. If they’re screwed to the right depth Ie don’t pierce the paper then they won’t pop. The only time I tape them is if the ceilings been over boarded over lathe and plaster or by someone else

    I was always told to trowel into the light and you seem to go across it. Do it really matter ?

      If the plasterboard is dusty or has been there a while brush it off and apply pva, but if its new just slap it on mate, if you feel like you need pva on it then get it on pal

    if you're using the same mix for second coat, can you add water to it if it going off

      You can, but You’ll find when you add water to it, it’ll go off even quicker in the bucket. So I would suggest mixing a fresh one just to give you more control. It all depends on how confident you feel.

    Surely stilts rather than all that scaffolding faff? Nobody carries about the sheer amount of crap needed to make a scaffold
