Hi Everyone, Welcome to my channel!
Every Tuesday I’ll bring you tutorials, tool reviews and vlogs all about plastering.
My name’s Anthony and I’m a third generation plasterer from Prestatyn in North Wales. I’ve been plastering since 1999 and I’ve had the fortune to have been taught by my dad. I want to help spread the knowledge that I’ve learnt and to keep developing my skills. Plastering is an ever evolving trade and I would love for you to join me on my journey.

You are superb Anthony at explaining . You would make a good teacher . My hat off to ya mate 👍 . Joiner
Very nice simple demonstration, welldone
Stilts and spot board all day for me Tony!
Great video thank you so much. After seeing the amount of effort it's gonna take (& learning & equipment), I'm gonna get someone in to do the work for me 😅
Just starting out, this was helpful, some tips that will definitely help me 👍
thank you anthony for your you tube tutoring, regards derek foster
nice see old school plasterer not some one start in middle of walls & ceilings or doing videos plastering a 2 ft wide wall calling em selves plasters .top man

Thanks, I hope that it’s helping 😀
Can you make a video on how to plaster your second ceiling please as I would like to have a go at plastering my second ceiling first. Thanks😀
Great video buddy. More full tutorials like this please :D
Thanks Anthony... 😊
Thanks you. Really good video and well explained.
lovely job, Anthony, thanks for the lesson, top class 👍
Great tutorial. Tx from RSA.
Another great video Anthony. Thank you.
Great job
Another top vid bud always quality stuff 👌
thanks to dept of corrections ,nz,staff for teach me how to plaster
Very nice
Good advice about being comfortable.. sounds daft but I wondered why no one really mentions this.. Everyone mentions the main stuff but you don't want to be faffing around at the wrong height etc.
Go on my son, nearly 2k subs 👍👍👍👍👍
Very impressed u did nt loose air pod in ur mix 😂
Me too 😀
Great video. Camera wide angles are really good. Perhaps a warning should be given...you need a strong arm and shoulder for a ceiling. Even if you have the technique and are not used to it your arm feels like it will fall off....
cool a real art
Thanks for the video. It was a shame not to see extra bits you did. Did you have a brush in your hand near the end? Absolute beginner here 😁
thanks, this is really useful. what brand of plaster are you using please? you seem to be using the same stuff for every layer and i'm trying to get something like that but have quit online searches due to the bewildering choice.
Don't you just love it when they post a video and then can't be bothered to address the questions people must have?
Thanks. Now I know not to bother with this guys posts
🔥🔥🔥
Useful tips nice work however the elevated platforms with the gap between them are a serious falling hazard.
Great video bud ,u must spend some time editing it,,really well put together 👍👍
Do you apply the 2nd coat with the same mix that was used for the first coat ?
Hi Antony, after applying your 2nd coat, do u not flatten it with the speedskim ? Or do u prefer to use a trowel to flatten the 2nd coat. Thanks great videos
what are the dimensions of the room and height of ceiling?
Anthony how come you dont tape all the screw heads up? im here to learn.
There’s no need to. If they’re screwed to the right depth Ie don’t pierce the paper then they won’t pop. The only time I tape them is if the ceilings been over boarded over lathe and plaster or by someone else
@@NiktheEnglishGreekCypriot thanks!
@@nobbystyles4807 no worries mate. Won’t do any harm taping them though. If you’ve got scrim going spare why not
I was always told to trowel into the light and you seem to go across it. Do it really matter ?
Is a kitchen celling plaster board or ply wood board
do you have to use a bonding agent when applying to new drywall? Thank you!
If the plasterboard is dusty or has been there a while brush it off and apply pva, but if its new just slap it on mate, if you feel like you need pva on it then get it on pal
👍
if you're using the same mix for second coat, can you add water to it if it going off
You can, but You’ll find when you add water to it, it’ll go off even quicker in the bucket. So I would suggest mixing a fresh one just to give you more control. It all depends on how confident you feel.
You dont do a wet cross trowel
Do you need to prime bare plasterboard? (new)
No pva needed
@@ronin99999 hi what about when the plasterboard has been up a while
Surely stilts rather than all that scaffolding faff? Nobody carries about the sheer amount of crap needed to make a scaffold
Off the Carta?
I’m still using it😀, just wanted to do a more basic tutorial to help the beginners. Thought it was about time I did one.
Board finish instead of multi?
