    If only most desktop monitors had this much compatibility and flexibility.

    Watching this on my UPERFECT 15.6" 4K OLED display! I mentioned in the chat room that I will never go back to LCD. The deep blacks in the OLED display is perfect. Took me back to the days of CRT monitors but without the bulk of the CRT monitor.

      unfortunately it's quite power consuming and not so good as a portable device. hard to operate without an A/C socket around...

      @@familyden4640 Power consuming? Hard to operate without an AC socket around? In any case, I have my portable display mounted to my VESA mount tablet holder and then that VESA mount then gets attached to my monitor arm and it worked out pretty well for me. I do not get 4k at 120Hz but OLED far outweighs the disadvantage of not having 120Hz refresh rate, but then I do not play competitive gaming anyway. Competitive gaming and 120Hz+ refresh rate is all the rage these days.

    This monitor seems way too useful, I'm going to have to get one. I do wish it had some sort of bluetooth connectivity so I could link it to bluetooth headphones or speakers and have it send the HDMI or USB-C audio there. Not a big deal though, since most devices outputting to that would probably also be able to do that, but it'd be helpful if it was built in and it could work automatically without having to pair every device to the audio output I want.

    Pepper Jobs builds solid portable monitors, but V3 has the glossy screen where as V2 has that nice matte screen (no glare).

    Build quality is amazing I have that monitor but I think the colors are not that great and it's really really not bright at all but again I love the build quality the touch of it but I was very disappointed but then I hear that they're 15 in a lot better

    Very nice. For some exception I miss a VGA option. Sometimes I have an old device or server I want to quickly connect to a display. A portable monitor would be ideal, but the older devices don't support USB-C of HDMI. Has anyone have a good option for a portable monitor with VGA or can I use this monitor for it somehow ?

      I have used a StarTech with good results VGA2HDU

      I believe you can find a converter that can take VGA output from a computer and turn it into HDMI. Make sure you don't accidentally buy one that goes the other way.

    I highly doubt it would work because it doesn't make much sense due to technically being in "docked mode", but I wonder if the Switch supports touch input when plugged into this display.

    • @LonSeidman
      @LonSeidman  Рік тому +1

      @@TwoRMSquared no it's a constant rate even if it's plugged in. So most devices will have their battery drained while attached - but not as much as it would with a display that needs to draw power from the host.

    So... It's not powerful enough to charge a switch while gaming? That's unfortunate. Deal breakingly unfortunate, maybe. I'd have to see just how quickly the battery is depleted, but I don't to have the switch die before the monitor battery does
