Thanks, found out you can also use your old shadows that are broken, crush them and throw in a primer and it does what you just did. although i like your way, way better! thankies a billion!
She squeezed it on her hand to show you the pigmentation and how she applies it if she wanted to use the pigments as a cream or base- shes not old and I think it's sweet she is showing people how to make a cream eyeshadow if you don't like it don't watch it!!

I appreciate your consideration of the economics of beauty products and helping others to save while being gorgeous! One of the reasons I stay subbed to you!
Please please please, even if it is "for yourself", always sanitize your utensils, containers, and hands when making eye products (all face products, really). Not sanitizing because it's "only for you" just means that you will be the only one getting the eye infection. A small spray bottle with 90% rubbing alcohol and some clean paper towels are all you need. I even periodically re-sanitize eyeshadows and eyeliners. Finally, don't neglect your pencil sharpeners and tweezers - they need to be cleaned regularly along with your brushes. Your eyes will thank you :)
Lisa Leone I clean my makeup btushes every night before bed and my eyeshadow 1-2 times a month and it is great I don't wear eyeliner but I own one it's a tube I dont wear it cuz I don't know how to clean it
@pandabear3k1 do you have mica pigment and a primer? this is pretty much from scratch.. from what you have. The next best thing is to go and crush some rocks LOL
So i have a question. Does it blend easily with the other colors or is it kind of harsh where you can only do one? That is as far as the cream goes. I know the powder itself blends quite easily to create other colors. but i really like using multiple colors on my eyes as well as cream eyeshadow but was just wondering if they blend easily.
@pandabear3k1 you can mix some mineral eyeshadow, or just scrpae some eyeshadow into a container, and add some visen eye drops or just water and mix it togethr!
I wonder if you could potentially use these powders with Jojoba oil and some shea butter to create your own specific base. I watched this video because I want to start making my own makeup for myself and I'm glad I stumbled on your video. Thank you :)
Oh wow I am so glad I saw this video.. I did not even think of this.. I have a ton of pigments and micas. I wish I saw this a couple days ago before I bought makeup forever flash colour palette! I bought it because halloween is just around the corner and cream face makeup is a lot better than just powder for the face lol. But at least I know I can do more with my micas/pigments ^^ Thank you.
Hey! I have a little question! I bought Kat von D's palette. And there's cream eyeshadow which is really hard. And I just can't use it. Can you tell me how I can "soften" it? So it can be really creamy again? :)
sounds like you shop at sephora :) they have all that urban decay and too faced that you were talking about. i love too faced shadow it's so effective :)
Love the idea- thank you for giving me a few pointers on how to use loose pigments... and I do have some bare minerals colors and some two-faced primer!!
@1321theshawty i knoww but on the web-sight, it has a video about them and they show it being mixed with a texture base, so i was wondering if they were safe to use without it..
I know this video is somewhat older, but say I want to make cream shadows myself and I can't afford the high end eyeshadow primers? and I don't want creasing or anything, do you have any other suggestions? Thank you...
Pursebuzz! Are your packs 1ounce? Or sample sizes? I was really excited to try these products but I just want to know the amounts you purchased:) THANK YOU:))!!
I like the idea and I'll give it a try and give you my feedback on how well it wore. Did you notice that your lighting is a little harsh and washes out the color you're trying to show? Maybe it's just me but it doesn't seem to be your usual quality.. just something to think about. Thanks for your advice, I can hardly wait to try it out!
@negai those are samples. Tkb is sooooo generous with their samples! I was able to fill 3 jars with my sample of their chamiosee pigment! (which was free!)
@TheMandy244 they are $1.50 for a tablespoon. ( yes tablespoon) they give u a lot of product. They give u a teaspoon when u get the more expensive product.
@MissSydneyDoan a primer is gonna keep the makeup from smudging, creasing, it's gonna make it last longer and make the color show up more intense.. a lotion would probably be too oily to use but you can use some extra layers of foundation or concealer instead and set with powder and that works fine. those are some VERY pretty bright colors!!!..so did you buy the 1 tablespoon samples?...
is cream eyeshadow kind of like MAC's paint pots?
@emeliabby he!! Probably dry depending on which base you use. The Too Faced would dry really fast :(
@pandabear3k1 do you have mica pigment and a primer? this is pretty much from scratch.. from what you have. The next best thing is to go and crush some rocks LOL
i know off topic, but wat lipstick r u wearing? great summer look! thanx!
thos are absoutely gorgeous. are those packet sample sizes?
so even if you add the colors to the base it will still keep it from creasing? or does it change the effect of the shadow insurance at all?
i do really like the colourd could you make a tutorial on a wearable look witgh the blue colour?
Hey could I use like regular eyeshadow like in a container and por it out?

I'm LOVING that website!
*Rocksterize* makeup tutorials
you can also use:
1) petrom jelly (vaseline)
2) moisturizer
3) or any kind of creme
@Meganxx3Love where did you find $2 cream shadows this bright, wow I haven't found any that reasonable worth using in my area.
@pandabear3k1 you can mix some mineral eyeshadow, or just scrpae some eyeshadow into a container, and add some visen eye drops or just water and mix it togethr!
@LizBiz684 I do think it looks about the same, but having cream bases of different colors is useful in a way that loose mica powders aren't.
will you do a review on "dry shampoo" i want to try but i want to know what you think!
I wonder if you could potentially use these powders with Jojoba oil and some shea butter to create your own specific base. I watched this video because I want to start making my own makeup for myself and I'm glad I stumbled on your video. Thank you :)
great tip! but jw, do you prefer tkb trading or coastal scents for micas? i plan on buying a bunch to try out but idk which site to get them from =\
What do you have on your lips in this vid? its gorgeous
wow i love all those colours!
I was wondering if you could make a vid on how to apply the colorful eye shadow???

Do you happen to know how much the new Sanyo camera is? The one you own. :)
Thank you.
can you use like face primer instead of eyeshadow primer
Wow I never thought to do that! So cool! I have a lot of the mineral type shadows but they are such a pain to use, this would make it easier!
@BarrysDaughter The pop ones. If you go to my site I have a break down of the things you will need :D most of the samplers are amazing!!
Sometimes I mix pigments with the Coastalscents White Gel Liner. Wears wonderfully, same as mixing pigment with a mixing medium.
Oh wow I am so glad I saw this video.. I did not even think of this.. I have a ton of pigments and micas. I wish I saw this a couple days ago before I bought makeup forever flash colour palette! Where do you get your mica colors? make sure they are safe for your eyes some aren't !!
They are from TKB
How many ounces of powder did you buy from TKB?
@1321theshawty i knoww but on the web-sight, it has a video about them and they show it being mixed with a texture base, so i was wondering if they were safe to use without it..

I like the idea and I'll give it a try and give you my feedback on how well it wore. Did you notice that your lighting is a little harsh and washes out the color you're trying to show? Very cool tip! Ive used the pigments & micas from that site for soap making but never make up, always seem too intimidating. Much more doable now :)
How much of each color do you have?
Was this the sample size?
I LOVE ur DIYS!!
What size are those bags that you bought?
cant u use pigments and vasline to make cream eye shadow? thats what all the other videos i watched do......
that is so simple, yet so smart, thanks for this!
What colors are they?
@negai those are samples. Tkb is sooooo generous with their samples! I was able to fill 3 jars with my sample of their chamiosee pigment! (which was free!)

@TexasGirl269 You can buy Micas and other powder colours in jars...you don't have to use EVERYTHING that she used.
You are so much fun to watch!! Lol. I lovee the intro song!!
Hi, what does the powder that you are using called??? I really need to know!;)
What size are those pigments??
@ShesThe1yup you can use that too :)
i love the way you polish your nails :)
coolness. why have I never thought of this?? Awesome video. thanks.
@TheMandy244 they are $1.50 for a tablespoon. ( yes tablespoon) they give u a lot of product. They give u a teaspoon when u get the more expensive product.
hey where can u get the products which u used
Did you buy the sample size or 1 ounce size ? :)
Where do u get the mica
@pandabear3k1 You could also smash up an old eyeshadow into a fine powder, or use a pigment such as mac or illamasqua pigments :)
can i use vaseline as the cream?
Can't we make it with eyeshadow
Very nice informative video. Great tips! It looks very nice!
what size bags are those
@geekigabbi using vaseline will crease thoguh and wont last
@MissSydneyDoan a primer is gonna keep the makeup from smudging, creasing, it's gonna make it last longer and make the color show up more intense.. a lotion would probably be too oily to use but you can use some extra layers of foundation or concealer instead and set with powder and that works fine. Hope this helped ;))
Wait, what size did you get?
