I had a friend who had this pattern on a Plymouth "GTX"and when you looked at it with 3D glasses on, the lines were "hovering on top of the paint!( Was and still is a fabulous effect!)

I used to be a huge contender in the lowrider paint game but I quit doing stuff for others....... The best advice I can give anyone is to Paint & Clear the project 1st,, Then prep the clear - Do your patterns/graphics & reclear to lock your work down..... You can always go back & do more work to corrections & or more artwork.......

He's not wrong ya know???? Lock that work and bury it in clear.... Clear is the key and lay enough down so in the future you can prep it/cut it to add more work if desired. I'm a lowrider and we always add more work later on down the road LoL 🤣

I do have footage filmed for a bunch of stuff....just have to edit and upload.

Awesome video, well spoken and shot. After watching, I thought could you spray the intersections as you are untaping your first pass. You would just have to wait until there was only 1 strip of tape in each crossing- spray with 1 hand, untape with the other. Just an idea...

A couple of points on that.
This hood was open basecoat, not cleared. Eastwood base, activated, and this is how it dries. Yes, this was done as a demo. I made the purple from extra colors I had laying around to give good contrast.
You know how the internet is, there's always people wanting to nitpick even for demonstration stuff. Lol. Thats why I made that note in there😂
