Watching you work makes my artistic heart flutter 😯😍🤩🙌🏾
That's such amazing art and technic
Amazing until the first kid at the car show pressed down hard with his finger and then ruins the entire paint job
Link to the leaf stencil for the foil?
@@JoJo-js5ftsame here, I never saw that before. And I can not find it on Amazon. Can you please list the link for that. Thanks
Forget the sweet paint , I’m impressed how you laid down the thin line straight every time .
Respect
That is the first thing I noticed !
Thanks I appreciate you watching!!
for real.. just puts it on there like nothing.. I would be stressing for hours and it would not be right lol. That's some skill and practice showing there.
Your tape job in the beginning was better than some of the paint I hired out.
Absolutely! I was going to leave the same comment. The tape is so thin, mind blowing. 🤯
I did some custom painting back in the 70's when lacquer was what we used. Speaking from experience you are phenomenal. It's a great thing to see all the types and techniques out there. Great job.
Thanks for watching
In the 70s, I remember a friend who had amazing custom paintings on his car. It was done by Fat Kats of Florida. It looked like car tattoos.
One thing I know will happen with all the new technology.. The old ways will be lost.
what? i did it in the 30's for italian mafia out of kentucky. not the fried chicken.
This is the type of stuff that made me want to paint... crushing up beer bottles and abalone shells for flake and pearls. Amazing stuff...
As a guy who has watched thousands of car painting videos,
I can say with full authority that you probably know what you're doing
This is not a Tutorial. It's an exhibition of Extreme Skills!
Thank you
Big respect to you.
I have been in and out of the custom paint world since the early 80's and I can say this without reservation, you are a total master at it..your taping skills are otherworldly.
Thanks
I have seen a lot of custom paint work but never anything like this, the aluminum foil part is absolutely amazing…
DUDE!!!! I was wicked impressed watching you tape it.... nevermind the paint
Thank you I appreciate watching
As a lady who grew up in a body shop I can really appreciate this process! If you want to get a deeper, consistent impression on the foil, use some type of heavy hand roller. Those type scrapbooking embossing folders can be ran through a Big Sizzix die cutting machine. Awesome technique!
Thanks for the tip!!!🙏
@@TimeWarpCustomPaint cool effects but totally wouldn't have thought to use tinfoil or glue on a car does it make the paint come off/rust out? first time seeing how it's done i though 💭 i was air brushed on not glued on and sprayed over
sorry sometimes i look at higher end custom painters and wonder if they liked K-6 the most and or art project assignments there teacher 👩🏫 gave them aka cool 😎 glitter ✨ effect but so feels wrong like a hack/janky but i love it 🤓😍not sure how you guys come up with wacky ideas to try but sometimes it works, PS not a body guy but i have met quite a few, im on the other side fixing engines and hoping them up and other go fast bits or working on industrial plant equipment = boring to most people
@@richardprice5978luminium don't rust. And it's under some nice, clear, fiberglass epoxy. It's not going anywhere
I'd love to see you do that, foil and candy for a tooled leather look on a bike😳
I don’t know how I ended up here but when he brought out the embossing folder I got super excited 😆
This is so beyond amazing and beautiful
Thanks for watching
where did you get the folder?@@TimeWarpCustomPaint
just found this channel, bro your ability to layout those symmetry is impeccable...subscribed!
Thank you welcome aboard
Speaking as a professional bodyman I can say this guy has god given talent and it a shame to see him let it go to waste. Please sign on as an apprentice and learn the dos and don’t of paint work. You would make a great living as a professional.

As a retired custom painter and current head painter for a local collision center - Wear a respirator with eyewear and gloves from start to finish on everything,,, even when airbrushing... Isocyanate episodes aren't fun when your lungs say Nope, your face twitches uncontrollably, your vision is hazy & you're sick as a rabies infected dog.!!! Too many custom painters across the country that I've met in person are in poor health after the years . Be safe and lead the way for the newcomers to follow suit.
This should be framed and hung on the wall! super awesome!! pure talent right there 😍😍😍😍😍
Thanks I appreciate you !!
Agree… I haven’t seen this before
A HACK? Is someone having a laugh. A hack is something that makes everyday tasks easily accomplished. This is absolute mastery 👍🏽
Thanks for watching
Dude, you’re a beast. I wish I knew how to paint let alone paint like you.
You can do it
That's pretty cool I always like to see different items incorporated into the auto industry.
Right on!! For sure. Thanks for watching
Thanks for sharing all these tricks! That mini hood is badass! I can't wait to attempt this technique.
Right on. Thanks for watching !!
Amazingly upper class workmanship
Appreciate that!! Thanks for watching
I’m 18 and my uncle wants me to help along with customizing his cars & all your videos are helpful thank you !
Awesome
Man from a painter to painter you have discovered something truly unique. Hats off to you brother your the man and I can't wait to try this.
I appreciate that brother!!
That's a badass technique!!! Really glad this video suggestion popped up on my TV. I'll be watching all these other videos you posted and checking them out too.
Thank You!!! I appreciate the support!!!
Gotta say I love that tinfoil in there , amazing look when finished
Thank you! Cheers!
I was doing custom paint in the 60s , all laquer, 50 to 100 coats. Doing crazy "decoupage" on motorcycle gas tanks. Full candy paint on a corvette for 800 dollars (big money back then! Lol).
Man has the equipment and materials changed! The one thing that has impressed most, is the talent and creativity of the artists. You have it in spades! My guess is that would be about a 5k to 8k job and worth every penny! Great presentation too!
Awesome thanks for watching
Just having the patience to do this type of art is an amazing skill... I would never be able to finish anything remotely as skilled. I just wouldn't be able to focus. That is beautiful art work also, but you knew that already. I'm jealous of the diligence, but also the skill
You could do it!!!!
You know the dude is a pro when they make laying line down that effortless. Flipping work of art beyond that too. I had no idea that's how this process was done but the rest looks attainable, if not without a jinx, easy!
Thank you for watching
I would not have believed this was possible had I not seen it. Truly amazing results. Awesome video with great information. Thank you for posting it.
Thank you thanks for watching
Can't wait for this tutorial 😍 really want to try applying it to motorcycle tanks
right on man!!
Beautiful job love all the 3d effects
Thank you! Cheers!
That is some smooth fine line tape work. Pulling those curves on the first try. Nice job.
The purple highlight was inspired! Very nice!
Thanks
Always loved your creativity, but this one is above the rest. Your work is interesting and rich with details👌👌
I appreciate that!! Thanks for watching 👊
Nice use of embossing folders. I develop products for the arts and crafts market. I have designed hundreds of these over the last 15 years. This design is not one of mine. I would have made the pattern more repeatable.
Awesome work!
Oh that’s cool
Your a very talented man thank you for sharing and keeping and old art alive! 🤘TEXAS!!!
My God!! Can I get 2-3 clones of you!! I know custom and this is by far the best that I have ever seen! I have been in and around custom paint 55yrs and you top everybody. Kudos and Thank You for the video. And I thought I knew it all!! Keep up the good artistry work and hope you get paid for what you are worth.
Thank you so much I really appreciate you watching my videos
I bet tin foil from the dollar store would probably be some of the thinnest you're gonna find. I'm gonna give this a shot next week on my daughters power wheels roadster.
I think your right!!
Absolutely beautiful man! Always a treat watching your videos. As a Certified Welder of 30 years which is good at my trade it’s refreshing to see others in their respective fields which are good at theirs. Great stuff.
I appreciate you brother!!!
Impressed with the way you put down the tape, super nice work, and talented!!
I appreciate you watching my videos 👊👊
yeah im gonna have to try this out on my shaved fire wall on my 1971 Monte Carlo!! I should be starting this process in about two weeks so I will let you guys know how I do!! Thanks for the video. It was really straight forward plus you even used the cheap clear coat I was questioning on buying to try out on some projects. Super cool man thanks again!!
Super genius
Thanks I appreciate you watching!!
You can name yourself the tape plotter...your shown precission with the green thin take is amazing like a plotter machine.
Haha. Thanks for watching my videos 👊
Phenomenal taping skills among many others
Thanks I appreciate the support
Id like to see you do some cool old truck door signs. You always do a great job explaining how to achieve certain looks and techniques.
I appreciate that!!
Absolutely amazing, how long did it take you from start to finish? I imagine an entire car would take a lifetime to complete..
About 15 hours
It looks awesome, but what about the air that is under the aluminum, will it expand in the sun and if someone pushes against the paint will it crack, collapse?
Nope. The clear locks it in.
your taping skills are completely of the hook man...and what a result..that effect makes me feel like I am looking through a one inch thick glass lid of a showcase, at some ancient silver treasure in a museum somewhere...more power to you
Thank you so much I appreciate you watching
brought a tear too my eye, true craftsmanship, much respect!
Thank you I appreciate you watching
The project I want to see next is you doing the hood of my Trailblazer. XD
Phenomenal work...just incredible attention to detail here.
Thanks I appreciate you watching!!
This is an incredible technique. One question that I have is how do you press down the aluminum foil without disturbing the design though? The videos that you make are really inspiring and informative. Thank you so much! 💯 % 🔥
Once its locked down with clearcoat its good
@@TimeWarpCustomPaint How do I push the aluminum foil down onto the panel without pushing the design flat ? Before locking it down with clear.
How do you press the foil it into the size without disturbing the pressed design?
Can always use a towel as a medium and use a piece of cardboard to flatten it down on the surface so that you do minimal affects to the design.
A hairdryer on high no heat? I'm going to try this on a paint job I'm going to do this month. It'll be on my channel if you're interested.
Edit after playing with the foil a bit I found a soft 3" house paint brush works nice to apply pressure to the foil without disturbing the impression.
Thats an awesome effect!! If someone presses on the foil section does it distort the pattern? Or does the clear coat hold it in shape?
The clearcoat lockes it down.
Not if i bang my girlfriebd on it...😁😁😁💞💞💞💕💜💜💜🎉🎉🎆
Allright listen to this. If you get a classic mustang, and paint the whole car with this, it'd be the sickest mustang there ever was. Mirrors with that tinfoil patter would look dope.
I've watched this video probably 10 times and amazed at the work ,....life goals bro,...keep it up, I enjoy your content.
I appreciate your support thanks for watching
Question: So no filler on the back of the tinfoil at all? What happens if someone say comes along and presses down on the pattern once your completed? Surely that would create a dent/flat section in the pattern (even through the clearcoat)
Never had a problem the sizing glue and clear locks it in. the foil holds its shape that is if you do it right.
really awesome technique! do you happen to know if the foil will peel up over time? I've been wanting to try some painting for so long...hopefully i'll get to try my hand at it in the next year or so!
The clearcoat lockes it down.
@@TimeWarpCustomPaint were would one order the tinfoil molds?
@@daveross1968 check the Amazon link in the description
@@daveross1968 Look up embossing folders on Amazon. They're used for scrapbooking.
That striping is next level damn!!! I was blown away in the first minute of this video the rest is just 🤯🤯
Thank you I appreciate you watching
You are a true creator. Mind boggling taping skills.
I appreciate that
So did you spray any bulldog (adhesion promoter) on the foil cause I’m guessing you can’t scuff the foil once the design is imprinted just wondering if you’d experience any lifting issues etc
Never had any problems
This is a super sick technique 🔥🔥🔥 where do u get the stencil to make the impressions?
www.amazon.com/shop/timewarpcustompaint?listId=2DB7SJJOERI31&ref=cm_sw_sm_r_inf_list_pub_timewarpcustompaint__mw_QnOQxW2iD5FIO
It in the art supplies section
Thanks for the reply! Awesome video
For your next project Juanio!
How does the foil hold up to pressure, will it imprint if leaned on...im sure you k ow what I mean.
This looks like such a fun skill to learn. I have no doubt in my mind you're just making it look crazy easy. Absolutely incredible work!
EDIT: By "this" I meant specifically the line taping part at the beginning. Everything else is great but for some reason I really got into the line work setup.
I can see that you love your work. Such craftsmanship two thumbs up.
Thank you very much!
spectacular.... love it! When molding the foil, Do you attempt to line up the leaves so it appears as a seamless design.? Or does it not matter
Do I don’t, but like you can see in the video I’m careful on how hard I press down the edges to prevent a crease. Thanks for watching my videos brother!! 👊
Beautiful job brother one question where did you get that hood to spray will love to buy one
@finishmaster on Instagram. I sell some that are just a little bit smaller.
@@TimeWarpCustomPaint where can I get one brother do you have a link

@@TimeWarpCustomPaint awesome ordering one Thanks
Try the spi euro clear, it’s thick as hell. U have to reduce it 1 up to 3 parts if u want to stretch it, Very very thick stuff good for burying lines
Wow... that foil trick looks absolutely amazing!!!
Thanks for watching
BRO! I was impressed with his taping skills! That hood is the shiznit! So creative and the depth is insane! I would never have guessed you used aluminum foil and that impression maker to make that pattern.
And i cant even get the stickers on my fridge straight.
lol thanks for watching
it looks so good i want to lick it haha
Hahahe 🤪
Using that embossing folder is so cool! and looks great!

That was really nice. I didn't know you actually used foil for that design. That's really cool and interesting.
this is really awesome. i bet you would do some sick epoxy resin work with stuff like this. multiple layers to make that 3d stuff really stand out.
For sure
Damn fine work!! Old school skills with mad man talent, bad ass.

That's simply amazing.
Thank you very much!
wow you had me on the pinstripe, amazing skills, not as easy as it looks
Lol👊
I came here from tiktok and you did not disappoint. I think this would be so bad-ass on a motorcycle tank with the tinfoil inlay on the sides, especially if it had a tear drop indentation on the sides to give it that extra depth.
Thanks I appreciate you watching!!
Watching you lay those tape lines I could see the talent but when I seen the ghost letters I realized this is next level
Thanks man I appreciate you watching my videos
That is mother-flippin' amazing..
