Reviewing the lovely soft and subtle style in Honey Pecan SS
Also having tea and chat at home about my hairloss story and dermatillomania and how wearing wigs and false nails have greatly reduced my compulsive picking behaviours
Finally, let take another look at the stilleto shoe - uh, so feminine and sophisticated. I am embracing the theatrical effect of 'proper' closed, high heeled shoes

I agree so much! I’m almost 50 and I don’t care as much about how fantastic a 20 something looks with their shaved head. Of course they do. They’re so young. We need more beautiful, strong, life experienced women representing us♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I really have the feeling that this community is going to grow a lot over the next few years. I've noticed more women having problems with their hair and I just think, overall, more women will see how cool enhancement hair can be. Thank you for sharing your story. You have a gift of expressing what is feels like to have hair loss and how wonderful it feels to a woman when she /you puts on helper hair. I was so amazed when I first saw the video of you wearing the top smart 18 inch. I watched it many times and watched with my husband. I told him this is how I feel when I wear my wigs. Thank you I just could not get him to understand how wonderful and life change it can be and it was not just me. Thank you.

He made me feel like it was a waste of money. I was paying g for them myself but him seemed upset when I order a wig. But yes it did seem to really help him understand it in a way I could not express to him. Thank you.

I havent seen your other videos, but wow you look amazing in the wig, and the colour is spot on for you.
I'd like to thank you for being so candid about 'derma' - you can imagine my surprise when you talked of it, as I'm a fellow picker. Well I was I should say...
I'm 57 now, and began the compulsive behaviour approx 12-13 years ago, and it lasted about 2 years. My whole arms were my places, and I'm covered in scars. I would dissociate and not even know I was picking.
I also had a traumatic childhood, and after going through intensive trauma therapy for a year, I began the OCD behaviour.
How I wish I'd never been nade to open locked away boxes in my brain, and relive everything. Therapy ripped me apart literally and I'll not go there again. Not long after it stopped, so did the compulsive picking 😊
Like you say, we are not freaks, just hurting people who find comfort in certain coping mechanisms. Some take drugs or drink heavily to focus away from pain, we just unwittingly chose a different path.
Anyway, back to the gorgeous wig! I can only hope mine looks as good as yours does 😊
I haven't got your so very pretty face, but lord just to get some confidence back and hide my terribly thinning hair will be so good!

The blonde hair looks lovely on you, and those pink stilettos are fab. I think when you have lovely hair on it makes you want to dress up and wear lovely clothes and shoes xx

Hi Sue, how lovely to hear from you. I totally agree, with your statement. I used to try and dress up before I wore hair but always felt something vital missing. My sparse hair was such a let down, and over time it just got worse until all I could do was scrape into a ponytail. I really feel a new lease of life now. I’m so happy and grateful. I hope you’re enjoying dressing up as much as I am xx
@@lifeandhair Absolutely, I love wearing wigs and dressing up, before wigs I never liked wearing nice clothes because my hair was so thin and had turned to cotton wool texture I never felt confident enough to carry off nice outfits . X

I felt your pain as you revealed your childhood. I’m so sorry my dear. I wanted to embrace and comfort that young girl that was you. You poor dear. I am crying with empathy for you. I grew up in a violent home and as a result have generalized anxiety disorder. No obsessive behaviors, but obsessive thoughts. My thinning hair is genetic. My mother, aunts, sisters all have had it after menopause. Sending you hugggggs! You really touched my heart.
On a lighter note, I have always had dark brown hair, and have NEVER wanted to be blonde. Does not appeal to me. A deep auburn, yes.
It’s lovely to have your support and understanding. It’s funny but I feel like I want to talk about it more in my next video. Not to dwell on it, but to get it out and move on. Childhood trauma stays with you for good I think. But we have hair to distract us and make us happy ☺️. Do you won’t try blonde heh?! Auburn is lovely too xx

I don't have the condition you have but I can totally relate to how you feel. I have trichotemnomania. I obsessively cut my hair. It has burdened my life for 30 years and I'm done with it! I am hoping I can get some relief, like you have, by wearing wigs. I do hope so 🙂 Thank you, I have never admitted my problem to anyone else, so I have been brave too x

@@lifeandhair it is strange. I find it gets worse when I'm stressed. I get the thought in my head that one part of my hair doesn't quite look right and it bothers me and so along comes that ridiculous thought that if I cut it, it would look better. Which never happens and so begins days (sometimes weeks) of cutting and tweaking and finally ends in tears when my poor fringe is so short I have to hide for months until it grows back 😐 The menopause isn't helping. I have thinning hair that I find upsetting, so after loving the attitude you have, I decided to make my hair less of an issue and try a wig. I will let you know how it goes 🙂

Hi Cheryl, I really like it and plan to experiment with other shades of blonde. I have no idea what a warmer blonde would look like - do you have a colour code suggestion you could send? I can take a look at it. Do you know, I actually think I get treated differently when I'm blonde than when I'm brunette, you may think I'm imagining it but I really do! xxx What style are you going for?

I shall try again! The company, Name Brand Wigs, has a very nice color code display for each wig company. The color swatches (not reliable on their own), are accompanied by explanations of the letter codes.

You asked me to let you know how I got in with my first wig. I'm really not sure. I think my mistake was trying to match my own hair so nobody would notice it was a wig, or rather what I think my real hair would be like without the thinning and damage. It's darker than my own hair colour and quite long and I can deal with the shine if I decide to keep it. Its like my dream hair but it doesn't feel like me, does that make sense? I guess it's trying to be confident enough to wear it that's the issue for me. It would be lovely to choose a different length and style everyday and not care what people think but it's going to take a long time 😐 I have my hairdresser coming next week. I will see if she can cut it for me to make me feel more comfortable. Oh, loved your simply wigs video. I wish my wig would look as good on me as yours do. They look so natural 🙂
Oh you got it!! great!! It's totally normal to feel uncertain when you get your first (or any new style) wig...it's exactly what I went through. Did you see the first and second video I made, it will show you what I went through.
Don't worry...take your time, there is no mad rush to find your fee. As you say, it takes time and we all move at our own pace, there is noooooo right or wrong. I wish you would send me a picture or short video on instagram...well done, though, you made the first step xx

do or did you actually pull out out hair?
The hair came out along with the skin I'm afraid to say...then of course after some years the skin becomes damaged or even scarred and the follicles become very damaged. It's so sad Cindy, I've lived with it for so long xx
