Oh my goodness! You're so right! I've been trying on my new wigs with no makeup, and am always disappointed. But then I go to work and people love it... It's the makeup! But, because I try them first without makeup, I start out with a bad taste in my mouth about the wigs. From now on, I'll take your advice and wait. This one looks nice on you. It is a nice change from what you usually wear. I have Gabor's Radiant Beauty in the SS honey pecan and love it. I almost did not get this color because it looked a little dark in some videos. This video shows the color very well.
Thank you! The inside portion I notice does show this color 'lighter' than it actually is. It is more brown. I try and try to get as true to color as I can! This is why...if weather allows, I love taking them outside! Thanks for watching! hugs~
Jill, this is gorgeous on you. I really like the Gabor line. Their wigs are so comfortable. I own Soft in Subtle in the shaded buttered toast and it too is a lovely colour. It is more of a sandy or an ashy blond, though.There is not a thing wrong with these longer(ish) wigs on you. I am surprised to hear that people have commented otherwise. I love the way you describe the wigs! you are so cute and thorough. You cover all the bases of information one needs to know. However I would love it if you would show Brunette colors. I know that is not your personal color but I weals off black/brown and would love to see you try that color on just so we gals who are dark haired can see. I am a little tired of hearing Shaded Biscuit and seeing Shaded Biscuit I could scream....But am loyal to your videos and will keep getting educated by you!!
You always make me love the hair you show. On you I can’t say “wig”. It looks like your bio hair. I like the way your hairline is styled. I agree with what you say about Heather. I don’t buy until I watch Heather. My first time two wigs were Voltage by RW and Revlon’s Sonata. I didn’t know Heather or anything about wigs. I’ve made some mistakes, but those two have lasted. I just threw Voltage away after a year. I loved it, and need to buy another one. It’s the one I put on when someone comes unexpectedly or I don’t care enough to worry. It’s auburn and the one people like the most. The compliments I get for blonde Sonata are from my husband and other men. I have a large collection now, but as some mature advice I see the wisdom of having one wig that is short and curly and is as easy as pulling on your winter cap, with no bells and whistles. Like Voltage. Sorry this is so long. I watch your videos so much that I think of you as a friend! Jeanelle

Jill, I have 3 Gabor wigs, and I just love them.. they are very very well made, very comfortable and the caps are great fit. I have 1 from Gabor Essentials line, "Gratitude" in color 16E665-brown blonde , and then 2 "Prodigy" from the Gabor Luxury Line , colors are a g829+ dark cinnamon mist & g27+ginger mist. I can't say enough good about them. Just a quick note too- Gabor and Raquel Welch are made by the same manufacturer-HairuWear, so they are a lot alike, and if you like one line you will probably like the other as well for the most part. ;) love your review and styling on the soft and subtle.

Hi Jill! Now that you have experienced Uniwigs almond frost, how to you feel the Gabor Honey Pecan compares to almond frost and do you see a comparison between Almond Frost and Belle Tress Honey with Chai Latte or RW Shaded Wheat? My reason for asking is because I've been wearing a Uniwigs topper in A.F. and feel I need to return to wigs due to the condition of my biohair. I would like to make the transition as least noticable as possible and feel a close color might help. This is a lot to ask of you, but any color opinions you might have would be great! Thanks again!

Just perfect on you! It was good to see the color outside. I've been curious about this color but was afraid it might be too brown..it has plenty of chunky blonde highlights. I like a dynamic color..wonderful review...thanks. :-)
Hi Kathleen! It definitely has more brown than any blonde I have had so far, but it is SO pretty! I would say the video inside portrayed the color a bit lighter than it really is. There is definitely more brown low lights than I think what it is showing...but, truly it is very very pretty! I too love the light blondes. Shaded Biscuit in the RW line is VERY light...just to give you an idea as to my preference. Haha! I was surprised that 1) I ordered it...and 2) that I ended up loving it! HAHA! I would love the Editors pick as well it's a bit pricey for me still experimenting with cheaper wigs but I have about 4 now 2 Noriko's 1 uniwig and an unbranded one + several hair peaces which are very nice messy buns and clip on's to give volume I do love experimenting with them. Beautiful! I wear short short hair, and wear it now especially since hair thinned out, but I miss long hair! I wore short and long hair b4 hair thinning started, but I would love to wear long hair again:-) I too, think we look more thin with shorter hair, but I think you look lovely with long hair! It is a pretty one! I have heard the curl pattern differs from wig to wig. That is annoying, but I love the pattern on this one. It is quite wavy/curly compared to others I have seen on UA-cam. It is possible they combed through their though.?? Thanks for watching!

Hi Jodi! That's a great question. I have to say that as my collection grows it gets harder and harder to choose a favorite. Plus, the same wig varies from wear to wear. I'll put on Ignite, for example one day and LOVE it, then the next time I wear it...it's 'ok'. Haha! I love my Jon Renau Shaded Praline wigs. That color! I also find that the lacing on the Jon Renau is just easy, no fussing...it always lays flat with no effort. RW lacing...always needs 'dealing with'. THAT said, my Straight Up With A Twist is an easy grab and go. (she's looking a little rough lately, though). SO, I guess I don't have a favorite! How about you? I would love to know!
I wore Ignite in Shaded Praline, Shaded Mocha and Shaded Sun for about a year. Purchased a total of 6 of them. After awhile, the constant fiddling of swooping the long bang out of my eyes and the ends towards the chin always fraying (due to the HD fiber) got to be a pain. Even my Crowd Pleaser being above the shoulders wasn't enough to fend off the darn fraying. My favorite "look" as well as color, texture, lace front and style is Editors Pick. My favorite "go to" was always Natalie by JR, however now that I have just started wearing the oh so popular classic Voltage (in large) by RW, I'm loving the flippy Lisa Rinna do and the color is wonderful. To be honest, I have purchased over 250 wigs. I'm almost embarrassed. ;-)
Gisele by Jon Renau Angelina SF by Belle Madame, Arrow by Ellen Wille and Radiant Beauty by Gabor and Monroe by Estetica. Jamison by Estetica is also good insofar as the bobs go.

I purchased a NuFace toner from qvc which is supposed to help tone the muscles of the face and give you a lift. It also has an attachment that emits light for collagen production. Have you heard of this and what r your thoughts? Also, I am starting on retinol by skin medica and need to know if I still use my vitamin c serum also. I have this wig as well and loved it ! But now after washing it the curls are falling out and it looks messy bad instead of messy cute :( any suggestions on how to fix this ??

Hello there, Hope Lives!!! As mentioned in the video...it does feel synthetic'y'. Not as realistic as my others...but, the style makes up for that I think. It is definitely more 'course' feeling, and not a lot of movement. I love it with a headband, or clip etc.. thanks for watching!
How do you style..do you use a product to keep the curl?
Hi Angel! This is a synthetic fiber....so, it has memory. Those curls/ waves aren't going anywhere even after washing. They don't need product to 'keep' them in the style. ;) I do use product in my wigs for general styling, lift, and texture, but in these wavy styles...it's really not needed. ;)
Can you please tell me if this wig has alot of permatease?
Hi Chanel, Yes, this one does have quite a bit of permatease. I don't think it makes the it look wiggy...but, that all depends upon how petite your head is. ;) They put it in because it helps keep the curls 'off the cap'. Thanks for watching!

I just bought it in dark chocolate, but i think i have to return it. It's way to puffy in the back just on the part side. it doesn't look good, unfortunately. Also, it's so much hair and doesn't look realistic on me.
Do you care to tell me how tall you are? I am a large head size, not alot of choices. I am 5'6.
I am only 5'2"but my body is not petite. Ha! .... my head is 'average' but, can also sometimes do a petite/average. However, a true petite is too small. :(

I love your videos Jill. 🤍Before I buy one in this color, I would want to see what it would look like in regular room light. I find when I make a color choice from the brighter ring light I end up disappointed when I receive it - because I am never in front of a bright ring light in real life - so the color is darker and I am disappointed :(
