Recently bought a Canyon Spectral ON CF9. The parts spec on my bike blow this thing away. Full carbon frame SRAM Eagle Electronic Drive Train Shimano EP801 Motor Shimano XT Brakes w/ 203 mil rotors Fox 38 Performance Elite Fork Fox X Performance Evol DT Swiss Wheelset 900 Wh Battery Final price? $6,250.00 A little more than this bike but a far better parts spec.
I’d love to pull the trigger and get a mx model. But I’ve heard so many bad things about shimanos crap attitude towards warranty claims. Is this just a vocal minority of angry people, or are shimano actually that bad?
I've bought second hand yt decoy 2020. Last year in November e8000 died. It was 2 months after warranty plus second hand. I skipped YT and went to shimano dealer. I've got a new motor for free, just paid 120£ for replacement. I was stoked
@@adnanmajeed6916 Although I've just upgraded to another with 126 miles from a friend! Mine was nudging 5,000 miles, swapped for £1500 much higher spec. Just hope that I don't need those useless gits in Germany!
I do have a 29er , do have same issue when going done... i loose confidence . I do like mullet setup.

A bike's more than just a sum of its parts! But you're absolutely right, that's a killer spec list. Enjoy your new bike!
How tall are you? I’m looking into buying one and I’m torn between a large and XL. I’m between 5’11” and 6’ tall.
I'm 5'10 and was very happy with the large.
Is the battery removable and how’s the battery cover?
It is. It's removed using two Allen head bolts and it simply drops out. The battery cover is attached to the battery and I've had no issue with it.

If you buy a YT, they will replace the motor for free. My buddy had a bad Shimano motor in his brand new Decoy and YT replaced it for free.

DO NOT BUY A YT, not unless you want to be one of the 15% pissed off customers. Awful customer service, buy another brand.
Agreed, very poor service. If you’re spending £££££ stick with Canyon/Trek/Orbea/Spesh. If you want a UK brand, whyte a great with customer service.
