    Just ordered a 2023, you helped me confirm my choice.
    My only request would be to get yourself a mic! Good audio is really important. Thanks man!

    I have the same bike. 4,800 miles. I have not had the service issues with the pivots. I had the play in the main pivot but once adjusted it has been fine. The Decoy is awesome. I ride Dog Park, Vail Lake and La Costa / Double Peak. I have tried many tires. I am liking the Specialized Butcher in the front and the Eliminator in the back. T7 compound. I use Vittoria Airliner inserts and that saves the wheels and lets me run lower pressure. Also I can ride on a flat in an emergency. I weigh 220 and run 20.5 psi front and rear.

    Finally a legit in depth review! Great video, really appreciate discussing weight, elevation, and battery life. I contemplated if i'd need an extra battery.

    I'm in So. Cal as well. I think I've seen you on Strava. I have the Decoy Elite as well. I love it. Ride Alta Loma and Sycamore frequently. I do have the second battery and use it frequently. I am older and do lots of elevation. The bike blast through the rough chunder. No regrets on this bike. Best value out there. I also swapped my brake routing like Motorcycle. Frt. on right. rear on left.

    Good review. About to wear out the tires on my 22 MX Core 4 (EP8 motor) and was looking for opinions. Thank you. Also, have the L and XL sizes. I'm 6'1" and definitely an XL. My kid is 5'8" and loves the large. I can ride it and can testify that it feels WAY more nimble than the XL, but there's no way I'd be riding that bike fast if I were anything over 5"10. That's why YT offers the XXL - it's called Extended Sizing. Tired of reviews complaining about dingdongs not even looking at sizing for YT bikes pre-purchase and going too small...

    I ride the 2019 model. My first EMTB. Lot of fun with it. But some issues too: my first motor wasnt waterproof, and die 6 month later, DHRII sucks and gone fast, DHF sucks when you corner hard, Assegai maxxgrip was really better (Schwalbe were not really better, but Michelin Enduro are awesome for me, better than Assegai), electric issue when it's rain (I add some mastic to the top of the battery to solve this). Not enough popy. Battery is a bit small for me now, 50km and 1200m max with eco only. Motor power is ok but far away of the incredible Bosch and Brose ones. So, good value for the money but I'm looking for bigger one today

    Best review I've watched! Thanks! I'm in the market for an Emtb, ( My first one). Good to know on sizing as I'm 5'11.5". So I should go with a XL? Does it ride like a Capra? I had a 2018 Capra (size L ) and really liked it. Thanks again!

    Hey man... great video! Super informative and detailed. I have the same bike, bought the 2020 comp them modified the hell out of it. You're right on... best bang! Love this thing! BUUUUUUUUUUT, recently I've noticed an annoying noise coming from the crank/motor area. I only hear it when I'm coasting and hit small chattery bumps or chunk.. It seems like "crank jack" for lack of a better term. At first I thought it was my chain rubbing against then chain guard but nope. Seems like it has to do with the cranks creating the noise even more so than the motor. I'm aware that this has been an issue with Shimano but strangely it wasn't there in the beginning. Have you experienced anything like this or have you heard of the issue??? Any advice... anyone?

    • @antsanabria
      @antsanabria  2 роки тому

      I’ve had a similar noise after the video and thought it was the cranks or coming from the motor. Took the bike apart and serviced/greased all the bearings. Sound went away. I would try that first before anything.

    • @bucknife4129
      @bucknife4129 2 роки тому

      @@antsanabria Thanks for the feedback. Seems like it might be a different issue but I'll definitely start with re-greasing and see how it goes. Fingers crossed!

    • @_Jake.From.Statefarm_
      @_Jake.From.Statefarm_ 2 роки тому

      @@antsanabria Did you ever get the cush core put in? I'm running a 2019 levo that was converted to a 27.5 with a 160 lyric + link. The bottom bracket is so low I flipped the chip too. Currently have the Assegai 2.5 Max Grips f+r but it's still really low. That being said, I've wanted to try the 29er on the front but I'd have to buy a new fork, wheel, etc. So for now I'm gonna try the 2.8 f+r DHRII 120 maxterra which should bring the bottom bracket back up. Keeping the 27.5 makes it super playful..
      I ask because cushcore came out with a + size insert that I'll be running. You said you have a 2.6 on the front, so you should run one in the front if you do. That looks like mullet no? Personally I'd do 2.8 rear + 2.6 front for the mullet with cushcore + and run the psi lower. Wont stop the nobs from absolutely being destroyed but you'll get added compression dampening and grip. Supposedly the original emtbs came with 2.8 - 3.0 and people absolutely loved them.. then came the 29'ers. So it might make sense for the back at the least. Cheers man! Come out to Greer and ride.
