You know, I thought you looked familiar and remembered I watch you play clash royale with nickatnyte like 6 or 7 years ago! And now I'm learning disc golf from MOLT! That's putting a smile on my face :)

I love watching videos on all aspects of disc golf. This one is pretty exceptional. I love shot shapes. Hyzer flips, flex shots, rollers, tomahawks, grenades, flare skips, the list goes on and on.

Dude, this is what I have been looking for, thank you. I play Bootleggers and trees galore. I hit 4 trees on a par 4 lol. Im gonna use these tips asap. Only been playing a year but I needed to find a way to fix it. I'll keep you posted

You played it as a par tree, understandable.

The elbow thing did was a great tip for me. I immediately threw further and am able to get more spin on my understable discs and get a beautiful flight. Thanks!

Exactly what I needed. Just looked back at my recent form videos and I am definitely stepping straight to the target (and my miss is to the right). I will work on stepping over to the left more tomorrow! Thanks molt!

Very helpful video, thank you. So many coaches talk about what needs to change, but not as many talk about how to think about those changes from the player's perspective. I learned some useful tips, thank you.

this is all great and all but where im from Oklahoma Tulsa area we have tight gaps but constant 10mph - 17mph winds typically head wind or tailwind the way they place these courses around here too so you cant really throw an under stable disc flat or its going to burn to ground to the right if anything you can throw a slightly over stable disc flat and will go slight anhyzer then flip flat then finish almost straight in a no wind situation that same disc would meat hook on you to the left

I just played a course that all the openings threw the trees benefit righty side arm players I’m righty back hand and it was hard to ani every throw or even keep my disc straight I play in the desert 100 of my throws are bombers and I would hit a tree off the tee and then my up shot hit a tree too I couldn’t catch a break plus all my discs at that altitude were over stable

I have been practicing quite alot lately. I watch turorial videos on UA-cam. Then, go out to try out the tips. I have also taking tips from a few players on the course. I am on the local course in my town more than nearly anyone else. I managed to go from a +11 round to a personal best +4 on that course after around 50 games of 9 hole Disk Golf. I have recently been improving my 20+ foot putts. The area I have not been able to wrap my head around even after watching videos on UA-cam is my footing. I also can not manage a proper snap. Got it to work once, then could not replicate the throw. I used the Swan, Tursas, River, and Adder at first. Eventually settling on the River as my favorite with the Tursas being one stroke below the River on that course. The Tursas is better than the River for getting around trees. The Swan is not better even for putting. The Adder is just made for a higher skill player. I then ordered a special edition of The River and an Escape Lucid. The River special edition is clearly the better of the two disks for me. While the Escape Lucid is clearly for a player above my skill level who plays with a arc to their shots. Its distance for me is slightly above that of The River. Though, I get more accuracy and more consistant distance with The River special edition. Comparing my old beat up River to this one. Plastic had chipped off the sides and it had a thinner profile. While the special edition River has more of a dome shape to it.

You can stick your arm back or extend it without getting a good coil. What I have found, and I'm still practicing, is to make sure that you're actually coiling properly. Then you don't have to think about trying to land with your foot square or closed. If your foot lands open you know you didn't coil enough or time it right and your head and shoulders are probably facing toward the target too early, which is what I think most people are trying to do subconsciously, is see where they're throwing early when trying to hit a gap.

Isn’t a natural release with good form supposed to release around the 10 o clock point anyway when throwing back handed throw? Yeah I started placing my planter foot more left and my release is better and arm doesn’t extend out to like 12 o clock and end up going more right

Great vid Molt. I hope you do more vids like this. As some one who hasn't fully developed the "perfect" form distance is my biggest issue for full powered shots. This gives me some good things to try and think about. Got to be honest, your usual 9 hole play through vids are getting a bit stale for me.

My understanding is that more speed equals turn and more spin equals more stability. Those two forces work "against" each other to keep the disc in flight. Too much speed and not enough spin? Turn and burn. Too much spin, not enough speed? Hyzer dumps.
More spin isn't making your disc turn right, the speed is. The increased spin is actually keeping your disc in the air as it turns and keeping it from rolling over.
