- A morning run through the bush, the girls are in the front seat keeping a close eye on the pack. Kyla the German Shepherd puppy is taking many a leaf out of Abra and Tilly's books. Whilst they're good, strong more senior pack members to follow, Tilly and Abra also have their undesirable behaviours that Kyla is picking up on or at least encouraging her own innate GSD desire to do so. Nipping into line and barking orders is top of the list. At just 5 or 6 months old she already has her sights set on a top position AND having her name called out by Luke quite a bit. Never as much as 'Abra' of course.
Abra joined Tilly, Cutie Pie and Lily at the beach for some training and to experience the beach for the first time. Lily wasn't happy she joined us, Abra is just a little too intense. But the beautiful Lily didn't let it ruin her favourite place to be ... the beach! She loves it.
A beautiful afternoon walk through the bushland and a play in the big paddock with the dogs and dingoes. Lots of fun playing and wrestling together.
And then some fun trying out some of our new tug toys and ropes. I think you might agree, Cutie Pie was the clear winner of the day. That tiny little Pug has so much gumption in amongst all these big dogs. We think she's very special.

I have started a bracelet that has all my dogs that have passed over rainbow bridge on a separate charm. It’s quite nice to stroke the smooth charm when I hit one of those awful waves of grief triggered by something unexpected. But also nice to hold the other charms and think of great memories.

He has not been to the Farm in a long while but is a very well-loved former daycare Boxer that never wanted to go home and avoided it at all costs. He is quite the chracter and is missed very much. He is just older now and farm life is too much for him.
1 & a bit hours is just perfect for a slow drink of tea & some biscuits - wonderful! And what makes it even more wonderful, is watching (& enjoying) doggies joyfully living their best life, running, jumping, playing, just being dogs. Seeing Elle, Evie & Wolfie enjoying the beach with the doggies made it even more joyous🥰🥰🥰

Her bloodline is PPD attack dogs. Not family dogs, not dogs you have with other dogs, not dogs you take out to the beach. These specific dogs are usually crated for most of the day and used only in threatening situations. The local gun shop here in town have two identical Abras under the counter. And likely related given the area and rare breeding purpose. Whilst yes she is next level intense, like those mimicking bite and head shakes in front of the dogs 🙈 … but her adaptation to this environment is nothing short of impressive. Biting toys and blankets instead, diligently following Luke’s rules, being Wolf’s personal bodyguard … I feel like of all the dogs, she’s battling natural instincts daily. She’s a lot of work but we couldn’t ask for more than what she invests trying to do the right thing every day. But you are right, the volatile intensity is unbelievable. We’ve seen what she looks like when she thinks there is a real threat and her body with those teeth and jaws are as fast as lightning. It’s no wonder they breed them specifically for that kind of work, people wouldn’t know what hit them. They’re just too fast from 0-100.
Thanks Sam for the full Abra description. She is a spectacular looking dog and those jaws look like they certainly have some “bite” in them when needed! Interesting about the two similar local dogs.
Yes they are both the same hybrid Mali/Dutch all black, qualified PPD. But male. It’s unusual. Breeders and trainers of these dogs are really not at all common. Especially around here.

First and most important Happy Birthday Wolfie🎉🎂🥳hope you had an amazing day...3 years old today wow how time fly's 🎉❤ lovely video Sam as always❤ Had to laugh at Roscoe he was like ok I ran my 5 seconds how about giving me a lift for the rest of the way dad.😂❤ Kyla for sure gives me Til Til Vibes barking at all those running😂 and Abra vibes with the snapping😂 Crispy doesnt worry much for that she like come snapping turtle i also snap😂 Lily had that typical sibling side eye cause Abra also came to the beach😂 but all was forgotten once the sand and water hit Lily's paws😂❤ o think thats her second most favourite place in the world....the farm of course being 1st❤ Til Til just let know everyone should behave even tho they on the beach! ❤ And she will be watching them😂 Tina running to Sam and asking for love was also a highlight to think when she first got there she was a bit skittish❤ of course beautiful boy Cruiser first dingo i have seen in my life and stole my ❤sorry Tina 😊 still convinced Rover is part dingo😂 and last but not least the Queen....Queen Pie the smallest of them all but got the ❤ and courage of lion, i still say she the actual pack leader everyone loves, adores and respects her and she doesnt demand it at all. That bread roll always amazes me to think she goes on runs and to the beach and then just shows Freddo how she too can play tug of war is amazing, always be Queen Pie in my eyes. I am so impressed with Lily. She is never taking a hike on the motor bike. Hope she is doing allright with all the running. She is so happy at the beach…aww. And cutie pie is so energetic as usual 🥰 wish my frenchie had half of her energy. Abra seems to be enjoying the beach too, and Tilly enjoys her time laying in the sand. The kids playimg together, laughing and having fun is so cute. Poor Sam has to hold the camera. Isnt there a camera or equipment so you can have both hands free and just enjoy the bech time too? Next time, ask someone to join you who can be in charge of the camera so that you can enjoy beach time with the family. 😊

What a perfect day at the beach, especially with the tide out. It’s funny how children playing in the water don’t feel the cold even though it’s winter. I just loved watching lilies reaction once she hit the beach. She was really having a great day and her dancing was a treat to watch. Abra is doing so well following Luke’s commands she’s coming along nicely.
It’s interesting watching Cruiser and Tina’s reactions with Freddo and Roscoe whom they are wary of. Boys you’re still top dogs 👏👏👏

I love how Sam and Luke never change the dog’s names. When I adopted my dog, I was bad and changed the name from “Saturn” to “Bailey.” But whomever named him Saturn does not love him as much as I do! ❤❤
I’m sure Bailey didn’t mind. They don’t know it’s their name, like humans perceive having names.. it’s just that’s the sound you make when you want their attention.

I have 3 cats - my newest, Bodhi, is almost 10 months old. He is in his toddler stage and into everything, pushing everything off the edge, all the typical stuff. I busted out laughing the other day when I realized I was saying ‘Bodhi, Bodhi, Bodhi, over and over all day long. Made me think of Abra, Abra, Abra. I couldn’t live without any of them. ❤️🐾❤️🐾

With another family, I could see Kyla becoming a problem. But with Luke and the pack giving her the discipline, direction and boundaries that she needs, she will blossom into a lovely GSD.
