Man, thanks for the huge compliment! Much appreciated! Alex' drumming is so unique in feel and playing, it's almost impossible to duplicate. He's truly one of a kind :)
No wonder these musicians get paid millions because it’s not as easy as it sounds you definitely got to be in shape to hit the drums Very cool poundcake is one of my favorite songs from Van Halen rock on 🤘🏻
very nice job! One doesn't need a ton of drums to play a song correctly. It's the drummer...not the kit! Question? Did you program your electronic cymbals to emulate Alex's cymbal sound?
Many thanks for the compliment, Keith! 😊 I try to get in the same ballpark sound-wise so that it doesn't sound to far off, but in this case the cymbal sound came when I added a little ambience in the mix :)
Hey man, Can you show some Beats on a single drum, like the "Landsknecht" used to use back in the days in Germany. For medieval drumming beats. Love to see some stuff about that too! I am sure you are capable of doing that too. One Love
Your kit doesn't have as many toms as other drummers that I've seen; is this a stripped-down set, or is the absence of toms intentional? If intentional, what's the reason?
This kit is a exact replica of my acoustic “live” kit. It’s smaller than most, I agree, and intentional because I like a compact setting (I got tired of carrying al lot of gear to gigs 😄).
@@TomDrums Play how you practice and practice how you play. It would be great to have a drum tech/roadie to help with the work of set-up and take-down, or a second drum kit, but not everyone is John Bonham or Neil Peart, right? Cheers to you, stay safe, and keep on keepin' on!
OMG thanks for that man... I dunno if you check your comments anymore. I have a question, I see your gear list and dunno wtf any of it is lol but...I study frequency in regards to quantum mechanics.... Is there anything at all in your stuff that has radio tubes in it? I"m on my gaming rig with a 600 ohm amp and some nice headphones that can crawl down to like 10 hz. Whatever your doing to your sound man, it sounds literally like old school masters. Radio tubes on a quantum scale "sanitizes" the sound freqency as it shoots it across the vacum of the space....input/output kinda thing. IE analog vs this all digital hollow sounding/feeling junk. That deep rich sound you know. Anyway sorry lol. GJ and thanks again.
Thanks for the compliment, Keanen! 😊🤘 I can't take credit for the sound as this is a full electronic kit with triggers. It's just set-up to feel and look as an acoustic kit, so that the transition to my practice kit (this one) and when I'm one stage is minimal. I use the basic version of EZ Drummer 2. No further add-ons, and it serves me just fine :)
Wow just one word
Dude, if there ever was competition for replacing Alex Van Halen you’d be it. Such amazing, technical skills you have

@@TomDrums check out the "Lagerleben -Tänzelfest" in Kaufbeuren there are some drum groups with flag wavers. It is really nice

No, it's a 16 inch.
