    Hebrews 13:17 kjv
Obey them that have a rule over you, and submit yourselves: For they watch for your souls, as they must give an account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: For that is unprofitable for you.
Hebrews 13:17 translated using the Greek language into English
(Correction of typing version, last version)
17 The obedience suggested is not by submission to authority, but resulting from being persuaded by kind words and motives. Could we be persuaded with kind words and motives to believe a doctrine in which we think is true, but in reality, is a false doctrine? Just because we believe something is true, does not necessarily make it true. We have to be responsible and check it out with the facts, for it to be true.
To be (3982 Peitho in a passive middle voice) Persuaded to obey them, not by submission to authority by doing what you are told to do or believe but resulting from being persuaded by checking out the facts with the original Languages, Hebrew and Greek (if we are talking about scripture and doctrine). That they have been given a responsibility in (2233 Hegeomai) Leading, guiding in advising you by serving you; So then as you are persuaded and are actively engaged in checking out what you are being persuaded of and or have checked out what is being taught is true in the Greek and Hebrew and in context. Then you would be willing to (5226 Hupeiko) Yield, submit, to pull one’s self back, in order to submit to spiritual leaders who are leading you, for they (69 Agrupneo) Keep awake, watch and are to give careful attention to your (5590 Psuche) Soul, for spiritual leaders (591 Apodidomi and 3056 Logos) By fulfillment of their obligation will give an oral or written statement to God, of descriptions of particular events or situations as demand it, to answer for their actions, conduct, reasons or causes, etc. In how they have been leading and guiding His flock. That they may do it with joy (5479 Chara) Calm delight and not with grief (4727 Stenazo) To sigh, to grown inwardly, For that is unprofitable (255 Alusiteles) Yielding no gain and by implication, harmful for you.
The question remains has Hebrews 13:17 Been translated incorrectly? Yes it has, then why? For what reason or reasons.
    2 Corinthians 4:1,2
In every translation that I have ever Looked at, read and studied, they translate this word obey as obey of the English definition and left it to the readers understanding of the word obey of the English definition, in which we all implant into this word because we want so much to obey and be submissive to our spiritual leaders in which we think it is a reasonable spiritual service.
In the Contemporary English version by the American Bible Society, Is the absolute worst translation paraphrase I have ever read. It misleads and twists the truth into false doctrine. This is the CEV false doctrine.
Hebrews 13:17 Obey your leaders and do what they say. They are watching over you, and they must answer to God. So don’t make them sad as they do their work. Make them happy. Otherwise, they won’t be able to help you at all.
This is the absolute worst translation of Hebrews 13:17 and it is not a translation they put their happiness on you to obey them absolutely and to do what they say.
Really, So Their happiness is in your responsibility, because if you do not obey them blindly they won’t have happiness. That does not even line up with God’s character and teachings at all. CEV of this Passage is false doctrine.
This can happen as the Apostle Paul states in Acts 20:27-31, Galatians 1:6-9, 2 Corinthians 11:3,4
If you go back and read at the top of the page you will see the proper Greek understanding of this passage into English.
