Those Woodford 120+ proof releases are incredible. Would have snagged one of those 100%
The first half of the year tends to be pretty slow for drops. There were a few things from like Jack Daniels, Penelope, and Heaven Hill (Larceny, Bernheim, and EC) but most stuff starts dropping after May. The real heat up is normally August.
You need to come up to cleveland, they had Taylor, Rare, Blantons and some other goodies at my local store!
Hmm maybe we should 🤔
@TheMashBrothers I heard Stagg was around, but I didn't see it!
The allocated season is over until next October through January. Some EHT and Eagle rare are available at times. Just got a Larceny A124. In NE Ohio we don’t get ECBP for whatever reason. I’m not a camper so any of the BT stuff I won’t get it is not something I’m interested in anyway.
Been fairly light on stuff in the northeast portion of the state as well. I picked up the EC Toasted and the Larceny A124 recently. Otherwise been the usual buffalo trace stuff here and there around here.
Glad it’s not just here, it’s been an odd start to the year that’s for sure. How is that larceny! I have an A123 that is pretty tasty
@@TheMashBrothers I really enjoyed the A124 I like wheated bourbons to begin with so this hits a lot of those notes that I like plus the extra proof over many of the other high proof wheaters is nice.
I’m in central Ohio as well and thought I was missing everything this year, so somewhat glad to hear it actually has just been quiet. I was able to pick up the ECA124 that morning too.
It’s been a slow start that’s for sure, how are you enjoying that A124?
I haven’t opened it yet. I try not to have too many bottles open at once. I’m working on a Sazerac Rye, OGD 114, and Rare Breed right now.
Picked up Blanton’s today
Woo! I think i only need 3 more to complete all of my tops! Cheers
What stores would you recommend in Northern Ohio? (Toledo/Bowling green area)
Sorry, I wish I was more familar with the area, but I've mostly only hunted in the Columbus and Cincinatti areas, I will have to make a trip up that way and let you know!
I live in Indy, is it true that Weller is somewhat available on the shelves?
It will depend, i will say Weller Special reserve is super easy to find and often will sit on the front counter for a few day when it is first released. Antique is oftenlu available, but you will have to be up very early and or at the store within the first hour of opening to grab a bottle typically. FP, single, and W12 are almost exclusively only available during the Holiday season and you will have to be in line very early to possibly get one of those
@@TheMashBrothers thank you for the information.
I have a JDSBBP Rye that i would be willing to trade you for a Weller 107.132.7 proof
If i come across another 107 I’ll keep ya in mind. I need to restock I’m down to my last bottle and it’s half empty
@TheMashBrothers understand and I appreciate you.
Have a good night and enjoy your bottle haul
Wasn’t a lot of hunting.. mostly drove around lol
Welcome to bourbon hunting in Ohio 🤣
@@TheMashBrothers hahahahha I’m in Maine! Same thing up here 😂😂 hard to be into bourbon but it be so hard to get something worth it
@@KobeBeen we get lucky with some of our hunts getting out early and being a couple of 🥔 but mostly all the cool hard to find stuff we usually have to get in KY
@@TheMashBrothers how far is the drive to KY? Hope it’s not to crazy of a drive but here in Maine nothing bro we on a island pretty much! I got bourbon friend who live in AL and KY so they help me out a lot! But struggles be real lol
@@KobeBeen from me it’s about 2 hours, we just make a weekend out of it and hit some distilleries and hunt along the way. We’re going next month and going to be filming a lot while we’re there and I’ll be in NYC doing some hunting this week, but I’m already prepared to see crazy prices and not being able to get anything
Westerville Krogers?
