my dad just got one of these lariat package...its the dopest truck ive ever driven. it has so much power, nice ride, quality interior, good stereo, and of course 16-17 city mpg!!! its soooo sick everyone should buy one.
What a beautiful truck...I really like the whole Eco-boost concept, 21mpg on the highway for a full size pickup is very good mileage. I'd be afraid to get the interior dirty on that platinum edition...no muddy boots allowed.
So you can get a platinum f150 for $53,000 or a fully optioned out SVT Raptor for $50,000. If your paying over $50,000 for a 1/2 ton you don't have to worry about a 4 mpg difference (6.2L V8 vs 3.5 EcoBoost) But the ecoboost is fantastic for the lower STX and XLT trims
@austinman1995 Then buy an XLT! No one is forcing you to buy a Platinum. BTW the Platinum is a few rungs BELOW the top of the line interior, which is the Lariat Limited.
i understand ford put this motor through alot of testing but what about the transmissions? i have never hated ford engine reliability just there transmissions reliability
I'm 100% positive that the Truck looks really nice and fuel efficent but 50 thousand it is way to much .. i mean WOW i'm not sure if i would pay that much on a truck ?!depends on the type of business i guess?! .. other way it is crazy to spend this type of money on a Truck to many guys buy trucks just for fun or for the look not necessarily because they needed for work
And, once again, they forget all about diesel engines; they are so much more efficient. Still, you Americans are getting better. Even if fuel still is dirt cheap over there.
its not hard to just go make a diesel truck and get good gas mileage that way yeah a little more expensive but worth it you can tow more and more power
I have the same exact year and model and color. 157,000 miles on it but I got the extended warrantie thank god. I’m out the warrantie now and hate it. Was in and out of dealership all the time for major fixes. Basically 2k$ fixes every 3 months. It’s the same bullshit getting fixed every time too. Ford fucked up on this truck. Maybe the newer ones are better but mines a piece of junk. And I’ve known that all 157k miles. The super nice interior makes you forget how shitty the truck drives for a short moment though haha
You can order one without it. I like the idea of a panoramic roof, but the inevitable leaks that will develop over time keeps me in a windowless roof truck.
@05front well i personally think the sierra looks alot better but thts an opinion. its prolly more unreliable but i lease my cars so i dnt give a shit. the f150 great truck and better thn sierra only cause it looks better. yes ikno i ddnt say it the 1st time and i take the blame 4 tht. but u poor ppl only care abt value and mpg.
@bmw760li150 Its like what 3lb or trq less. Who cares. But at 403 hp. Now thats the ticket be for you mod it up with CAI, LT headers, Catback and a tuner. and hell yea the that 6.2 will just be an evil Son of a Bitch.

Ive driven a 3.7 V6 extended cab 2wd and was quite impressed with the power and shifting. Im sure the eco 3.5 V6 is a killer motor.
I just got this very truck option for option, only difference is mine is grey. I'm in love with it.

Love the standard side curtain airbags and seats, can't have to many safety feat when the family is in it, it's more truck than i can ask for...

only thing i like better about the 5.0 is the sound, but the immense power of the EB is drool worthy
Steve, could you do a review on the Ford Raptor. PLEASE! :)
@SuperSportPala Love the Eco Boost engine.
Steve would you suggest this motor over the 5.0?
if you have this you can say you have a GTR since it too has a twin turbo V6 right? Lol I need to try this truck,Im in the market

@austinman1995
WOW! you got a huge bargain. I am impressed. What kind of mileage have you been getting? How does the 5.0 sound under a load?
Like music!

my 08 F150 5.4L V8 I get 12miles per gallon in city 18 highway lol, so jealous of this trucks fuel economy haha
i understand ford put this motor through alot of testing but what about the transmissions? i have never hated ford engine reliability just there transmissions reliability

huge wing mirrors which looks like dog ears must generate lots of wind noise

Those mirrors stick out wayyy too much =)
@austinman1995 Thanks for the info, now I REALLY am going to suffer. That is darn good MPG. Thanks again.
I like this truck, however I am not a big fan of sunroof

i dont really like this F-150 model, design wise that is. Much prefer the Toyota Tundra and the Nissan Titan
3:19 "with a 750$ ecoboost v6"

@austinman1995 my sierra denali cost three grand more
Horrible the mirrow exterior!!!
@austinman1995 i tow my boat with it
And the payload is a joke
