I tried not to do a crazy amount of EQ'ing and polishing, but when I kept trying to listen to the album in full I realized I desperately needed a to do a full job and I wanted to unravel the low-end and guitar.
This remaster is the best version I've heard of this album so far, but it still has issues.
Overall the different studios, mixing, lack of mastering on it made it a little tricky to work with, but I still absolutely love this album and its warts.
Thank you Sam Tracey for your work for the small but always growing PS fanbase
Nuff kindly adjusted/edited the artwork

In an alternate universe, Pinkly Smooth was bigger than A7X and The Rev is still alive, writing amazing music.
And an AU where they perform as a supporting act for Cojum Dip.
“If you could go back in time to see one band live what would it be”
Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Supertramp all their heyday? Tempting, but I could also choose Mr Bungle, Snot, or Nuclear Rabbit… this is why classic rock fans shouldn’t get into metal, just in case they have this choice to make
bruh if i could see them in goofy makeup and clown shoes playing these songs i would die of happiness
Jimmy in A7X I never got to see them cause I was 15 when I first heard of them and it was a year after he passed away. (2009)
Real asf
\m/ PANTERA \m/ with their original member
Rest in peace 14 years today, the man that got me into music.
He's a fuckin' legend now dude. Big respect to The Rev.
Rip The Rev. This album hits
Thanks for listening
I haven't heard pinkly smooth since high school. Literally like 08. For some reason today it hit me, this craving for the nostalgia (and absolute talent that was the rev) Checked Spotify, nothing. I figured somebody must've uploaded something. And you fucking delivered. Thank you so much whoever you are. I sincerely deeply appreciate this upload.
Thank you for your comment, it made my night. I’m glad you enjoyed
They take it down from Spotify all the time. It would be incredible if Syn found the original recordings and managed to make a remaster or just re-release it.
@@102ndsmirnov7 will probably never happen. Alot of bands don't like remastering their records they like them as they are. I heard the scorpions remastered album and it sounded like digitized garbage I hated it.
It's why I'd be ecstatic even with just a re-release. I've been wanting to find a Pinkly Smooth CD for a while but they're practically unobtainable.@@justinbowen1183
"Producer, Engineer - Nick D'virgilio" wow what a good time
wow, did not know that
one of the most beautifully composed, written album of all of humankind
Without a doubt in my top 3 favorite albums of all time. Thank you for this.
No problem! Thanks for listening
@@BobbysArchive It's awesome knowing there's people out there, besides my close knit group of friends, that still listens to and appreciates this band.. it's insane to me that so few people know of them... Shockingly enough, even the majority of avenged sevenfold fans I have ever talked to, have never even heard of em.. which is a fucking travesty. This album, Mongrel, by the number 12 looks like you, and love songs for the apocalypse, by Johnny hobo and the freight trains, are my three favorite albums of all fucking time. They're amongst the very few albums in which I can listen to the album the entire way through, without feeling the need to skip any songs, as I fuckin love every single one of them, just as much as the next. That, and every time I decide to listen to any one of them, , I listen to the entire album all the way through, every time. . Sally, the vast majority of people have never heard of any of them.. fucking love that you got this remastered version on here.
It really is a shame how unknown and obscure Pinkly Smooth is. I recommend it to any of my friends who like metal. It's an absolute masterpiece and gives us more of Jimmy's vocals.@@ldawg7117
This is wonderful dude, thank you so much for making this
I’m glad you liked it!
You really did an amazing job with this, love to see the Pinkly Smooth fans still listening
Omg that sounds amazing ! LOVE IT!! ,Thank you ,finally i can listen to this on full blast
Thank you! :D
Obrigado por remasterizar esse álbum, esse pra mim é uma das obras primas musicais vindas do The Rev, R.I.P. alguém mais já parou pra pensar o que seria se ele tivesse continuado essa banda? Love it congrants from Brasil
Nunca saberemos... R.I.P The Rev
This is a cross of Mars Volta and Mr. Bungle plus - Jimmy
Excellent remaster... I was thinking this sounds much better than last time i heard it... Oooh it's remastered :0mg
I have a pinkly smooth tattoo. It's washed out and done poorly. I still love this.
That's great. Cheers my friend
Gotta remaster the tattoo to match
I got a washed out and poorly done deathbat. Might get a pinkly smooth one to complement it (poorly done, ofc)
@@lambertstarr1218 my deathbat is also old and washed out. Gives em character. Also my fiction tattoo is unfinished and really shitty
The last two songs are simply amazing! Wow
i cant get enough of this
Glad you enjoy it!
If you like this, you may like the first two demos by Leprous, Silent Waters and Aeolia.
i get a really cool rock opera vibe from some of this
Totally, The Rev and Gates appreciated and wrote great music. Cheers
I have a Rev deathbat but this makes me want to get this album cover next to it. He did such a freely creative job on this and you can definitely tell he had a lot of creative control in A7X’s album with him. I feel nightmare was the last one with anything close to this type of influence. I loved his mind and the way he did music he was no other. My first tat and never forget foREVer. Love you jimmy.
God bless you, I was fixing to make this but you beat me to it.
Thank you so much for doing this!! Speaking of low end (looking at the description), I noticed the kick drum could be louder! In general it could use an eq boost (no altering of frequencies but boost all evenly), just trying to be constructive! Thanks again man, youre right this is the best version ive heard
Thank you, I definitely agree there’s some things I could’ve done a little different, but I didn’t wanna over step my boundaries and change things too much or potentially butcher it. I just kept doing minor tweaks for a few days until it all sounded cohesive to me. I’m glad you enjoyed!
This album is so wanky, i love it lmao, its genuinely better than sex
Man I haven't heard this since high-school. Still fucking great
Great?
Rip, the Rev... We will love you forever
I am so glad I found this, this is exactly what I've been looking for
I love this stuff
foREVer❤
Mezmar is by far my favorite
Mr Bungle brought me here and l’m so glad he did
Thank you for remastering this+
No problem, thanks for watching
Mad to think how much better this is than STST
In "Nosferatu Does A Hefty Dance" the Rev sounds like Max Cavalera.
Totally would mosh to Mezmer
Amazing
I’m glad you liked it!
I need this on Spotify or Apple Music
Ong
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVEEEE
4:00 sounds just little piece of heaven lol
Probably because it inspired piece of heaven. That album they took a lot more of rev inspired stuff. He had a unique sound of his own, and clearly a7x took some more from rev than only drumming.
And 18:46
Thank you.
Yo this is sick, is there any way you could upload these 6 songs separately so I could put them into a playlist?
Uploaded them just now for you 😁👍
@@BobbysArchive hell yeah, thanks for that.
I have the original CD-R, this sounds better than the original.
Jesus Jimmy this is Mr. bungle on steroids
I just wish they were on spotify to stay... "El Diablo" of the band has the demos, and probably even the original files so I don't really understand Syn's excuse of not having the original recordings. That's how we got to hear the demos, his YT channel is Ben Stubbs (or Flamenco4U, the former is easier to find and links to the latter). There's also all the remasters that have been upscaled by AI and such. I don't understand why they don't just do it...
I wish Jimmy could hear this.
He made it 💀
Would there be any way to get the actual files for these songs? I’d love to get these songs on my actual playlist
10:40 we come out at night??
Never noticed that till now and I’ve been listening since like 2010.
@mysterybotts lol they always come back to earlier ideas. So awesome.
more like warmness on the soul
I never realized and I’m probably the only person who doesnt know this yet but the ending for mezmer sounds like warmness on the soul in avenged sevenfold. I mean I’m not suprised really because streets was from matt’s old band hahaha so its only fair
My Favorite song is The Body of Death of The Man with the Body of Death
Soo good
Muito bom 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
If only the rev didn't die so we could of got that ruining album
Are you able to add these songs onto spotify as songs and not podcasts or is it copyrighted and stuff?
Wont be able to add them due to copyright for sure - but you can add your own songs to spotify locally - rip the audio the audio from each youtube track and add them to your spotify. You'd have to do this per device.
Ok thank you
Suena bien vrgsz
where can i listen to pinkly smooth? They took shit off spotify and theres one song on pandora
(Dances)
Thank you so fucking much!!!!!!!
You're welcome, cheers
A7X in 2007
Where can I grab this??
3:52
amogus
very jonathan davis tbh
I know what you mean
Extremely Mike Patton
Nah, Mr Bungle, specifically the self-titled album.
@@senatorcthulu1815it’s clearly bungle worship but i don’t think it’s patton-esque, it’s like bungle through a korn filter
Another question
Can you remaster all the demos? They’re all on this video: ua-cam.com/video/HK0etAlItg4/v-deo.htmlsi=FUv2pGM-1y-NswYH
