Hi Steve! Sorry I missed catching up with you over the weekend. Actually, it was the *37th* Anniversary as anniversary numbers keep ticking over even when stagings get cancelled for any reason(covid and flood inundation, for example). Under normal circumstances, this years Steamfest would've been the 38th staging and 37th Anniversary. The number of stagings of an event is generally one ahead of the number of anniversaries, as you have the inaugural staging(1986), then one year later, the second staging(1987) which is the 1st Anniversary, and so on. But the aforementioned Covid and the flooding chucked a *huge* spanner in the works and stuffed it all up, now the number of stagings is two behind the number of anniversaries. Shee-ee-ee-eesh!
@neilforbes416 i went to the very first one but i was at the Newcastle end at the former railway station the train went to paterson and came back to Newcastle
2:40 Whereabouts were you when you took this shot, and at what time? I walked down that road that runs just off Railway Street a bit after 9.30 am and didn't see you.
Hi Neil. I am sorry I missed you as I left Steam St just after 9:00 were that shot of 6029 and 3801 was taken. Your history of "The Anniversary" was well thought out...Cheers.

@@neilforbes416 It is just to the west of the station as the video of the trains leaving for Branxton and Paterson show the station. Check it on google maps.
@@steelribbons5886 Yeah, I was on the street without realising it. It runs off, but is broken by Alan Walsh Drive. A little footbridge puts you onto Steam Street. I walked along for some distance to try to find a decent spot to set up my camera, but the shot I took, I wasn't happy with it so it "ended up on the cutting room floor", so-to-speak! On the map there's a green line which shows the link between the two parts of Steam Street across Alan Walsh Drive.
