Yeah I don’t know why they said don’t barrel through the story only to follow it up with looting and dungeons which only give better stuff after the story on WT3.
@DrgnZomb here's a couple quick.more tips. Once you get wt3 make sure to get rrenoun to unlock the paragon points from the map. You can do it on wt1 if the dungeons are too hard or slow. And if you get a legendary with a good bonus but have a different legendary with better stats you can extract the bonus at the occultist and put it on the better Stat item.
Never seen so much misinformation in a short, 90% of this was trash tips. Grinding xp is World tiers 1-2 is a massive waste of time, the xp bonus from world tier 3 is 100% and double that in world tier 4. You shouldn’t be investing extra points into the same core skill until way later in the game (50+), because you’ll want as many passives boosting your dmg, utility, and or abilities in some way, and upgrading abilities gives like 4% bonus extra dmg per lvl and does a few other things-however, at a low level these are useless to you. Also, you should try and upgrade certain weapons and gear if they’re on the cusp of an item power breakpoint: Diablo4 item power breakpoints The reason why this is important is when it comes to upgrading gear it might push a piece of gear above the breakpoints, which would give a nice boost Here are the power breakpoints: 1 - 149 150 - 339 340 - 459 460 - 624 625 - 724 725+ This would increase stats, for example: 10-25% crit dmg would go to 25-45% crit dmg. What an L video

You got run through the main story Line until act 4 when you get your mount. It makes farming loot and xp so much simpler. This truck will save you dozens of hours
Push through the story to get to world tier 3. Ifyou reach level 50 before hand your xp will grind to a halt and your loot pool will drop off a cliff in quality.
BARREL THROUGH THE STORY, You want your mount asap cuz running gets old fast, and do the main quests on world tier 1 as the main quests don’t give extra XP for world tier 2 and I got to lvl 45 by the end of blowing through the story on world tier 1🤷🏽♂️
As far as upgrading gear, only upgrade items with rolls that match your characters build the closest, as you're likely to hold onto them longer. Even then, only upgrade them twice, as three times will begin to be expensive. Save the high upgrading for late game gear like Uniques
Here's a tip. T3 capstone dungeon is a cake walk at 63 right up to the end boss Elias and then you will require 4 people if they are below level 60. The fight is level 70+ but doable. Tip #2 depending on your class over 50, upgrading your gear and your weapons is imperative to not struggling solo when you get to T4.
Barrel through the story. Enemies don’t scale past lvl 50 unless you’re in world tier 3 and that’s not unlockable until you beat the campaign. Have fun of course but don’t do everything on the map
I just got diablo 4 for Christmas and I haven't even started the story. I've done like 30 sidequests and haven't even started act 1 (I didn't go to the acts after I could free roam) I'm hoping there are cutscenes and stuff because I honestly have no idea what the story is rn. All I know Lilith bad. Lol
Disagree about doing just about any side material until at least world tier 3. Enjoy the story if you want. i did while all my buddies power leveled. But once thats done, then you can start focusing on getting renown. Youre gonna want those side quests and dungeons so you can gear up organically.
So at what point does my character actually start doing damage ?? Level 32 Barb and doing No Damage... Slog Fest so Far. Hoping it starts to pick up a bit
Barb's kind of legendary-dependent for cooldowns and fury generation. Focus on a core and/or weapon mastery ability and build everything else up around being able to do those all the time. It's a pretty common mistake to spread focus around too much.
I actually am taking time and upgrading weapons and I have to say that as long as the stats are decent you won't really get recked that hard I'm using a level 30 something sorcerer who still has some low level legendary gear but the stats are great.
This video is a Yr old but there needs to be more of these and implemented into the game. I’m seeing lots of players still not knowing what they’re doing and how to lvl or build classes or aspects etc. it’s funny but sad. Bad game design to have so many niche things for a player to learn if they’ve never played Diablo franchise and there’s really nothing in the game to help tbh. Most new players are relying on the hope someone will carry them and spoon feed them all the info and niche things to the game but there’s not enough time for a Bet player to explain it in a way noobs with 0 brain function can comprehend fast
Step one, don’t listen to this person cause they obviously haven’t played Diablo before. This is not how you want to play if you truly want to maximize your time on this game
You lost me at #1. That is probably the most importent thing to do. Getting the mount and unlocking new world tiers to get essential gear farm unlocked to make speed farm build and XP farm. Then do back and do side quests/dungeons way faster.
So first of all, Do barrel through the story.. because, by the time you are finished you are almost level 40, and are able to challenge the World Tier capstone dungeon at about 45 if you have some Okay gear,.. Completing the campaign is the only way to get into World Tier 3, which gives you Glyphs and higher EXP and better loot... ( Unique start Dropping ) You legitimately can't miss class specialization quests... as they basically scream at you to do them... So not a Mistake someone can make.. I disagree, when you are leveling, it's better to Find Spread out your points so you have More Cooldowns to spend, it will help you clear earlier in the early game, you don't have the stats to scaling abilities meaningfully anyway, so there is no point in investing into Specific things, passive that give % increases to overall damage are way better. I would agree with not neglecting exploring, but Once again If you just do the story quest, and have an interactive map open a lot on the way, u can get all the Lilith statues along the way. This video is Hella backwards..
Don’t listen to this. Just rush the story as fast as possible and be on world tier 3 before you hit level 50. Diablo just starts when you finished the campaign and getting to level 100 is the real game.
Women am I right guys😂. BARREL THROUGH THE STORY enemy levels don’t scale past lvl 50 until you get to t3 and as for exploration wait until you get a mount hints what I just said it’s more efficient just a heads up do with that what you will
Thank you. I’m a newbie and need all the help I can get. It’s so humbling being so pale in comparison to the Diablo greats before me. Don’t fall to the wrath of Lilith.
Me too. I’m a newbie. My friends play. It’s not my type of game, but it’s undeniably good with depth graphics story presentation and gameplay (lacks a little there compared to what I’m used to FPS)
Around level 40 you’ll start picking up legendary items with aspects directly contributing to your build. Seeing as that’s a rarity and most times you need to imprint the aspects for your build it’s a no brainer to hold onto those legendaries and upgrade them until finding a similar one or salvaging enough legendary gear to upgrade and make your next drop a good one with aspect extraction/imprinting. The idea of not upgrading is a bad one, materials are easy to selvage for, gold is easy to gather through selling cheap equipment etc. The only ones not upgrading items are noobs or casual players in low world tiers just in it for the campaign and lore. If you want power, don’t get sentimental with materials. Edit: for instance as soon as I hit level 40 I upgraded and imprinted all my equipped legendary gear, I’m currently level 49 now and have rotated two pieces of gear into my build that had better stats, from level 40-49 I salvaged legendaries to the point I have enough materials to upgrade my end game gear when I start getting it passed level 50. It’s a common misconception to hold onto farmable resources because the information you’re getting on the subject is coming from players used to the pay to progress mechanic from immortals, D3 gamers who didn’t play immortals are saying the opposite of them, and furthermore the ones saying wait are now saying there’s no point to. Summary: loot is not scarce, upgrade items that directly contribute to your build and use them till you get a clear cut upgrade, don’t just throw the highest item power on it does not make you more powerful whatsoever.
I don't need to make those mistakes since 1: I'm never playing this game and 2: Blizzard no Activision already made THE mistake for us so don't bother.
Every comment here says rush through the story. I can’t blame them though because that is the hot mess the developers have made. Everything you collect is replaceable as long as it’s got a green number. Levels are cosmetic as you don’t feel any more powerful because the mobs scale with you. In fact you are weaker until you find more replaceable loot. Refunding your skills is a reflection on todays society as it further enables our sense of entitlement. D4 is just more d3 trash.
The only mistake you can make in Diablo 4 Is buying the game For 70$ + 450$+ Worth of microtransactions.... 😭😂😂😂 couldn't be me bruuhh.. blizzard has done it again. 😂
