Another budget pro driver that may be worth checking out is the LaVoce FSN041.00. I bought a pair to use in my car but haven't installed them yet. I took a hard look at this Faital and the LaVoce and decided on the LaVoce.
Unlike Peter, I didn't go to "school for audio", I am not a professional and I am not claiming to be one. I learned all of what I know in the last 3 years or so.
Should i use them in dors using the dor as infinite baffle(midbass in other location) or should i get the neo version with much lower q and use them in a small sealed enclosure? What do you say. There is 4 versions of this driver, all with different qts, that gives you a qtc of 0.7, from a 3l box to higher than 300l. The one with a qtc of 0.8 looks great in a box around 20-30 liters(a dor). Thank you ❤
I WISH I COULD SEND PICS , BUT THE 4 OUTSIDE OF CIRCLE MOUNTING PATTERN IS WHY I WOULD REMAKE PILLARS IM RUNNING DAYTON RS 100 WIDEBANDS AND THEY ARE JUST OK FOR NOW.
Im looking to use the faital pros on my audi as mid range speakers, pair up with the factory B&O system. Do you think these will be too bright?.. im looking for sound quality not loudness
Planning on running then with a set of Focal iSub Twins under the front seats and a sub in the boot. They are going in a really small car, so don't need a lot of SPL
@@drrckhamilton I went with the 4Ohm 3FE25, there specs looks very similar to the 4FE35, the Fs is only slightly higher at 110hz with the same 91db sensitivity. Got them for £11 each brand new.
Question: when you did your dash build, do you recon you could also fit 6.5" instead of those mids without sacrificing the vents? Is there enough space?
@nerijuskochanskas7349 thanks for the reply, I'm after a 2nd car and have found a 2015 insignia for a great price.. from your experience would you consider the insignia a decent platform for a fairly high end audio build or would you recommend a different car in this price range? (6000-8000£)
@@Dirtyhealz have you seen the Insignia that Peter from PS Sound made? I think Insig ias are great - big dash, spacious boot. The only problems is the kicks, very tight but manageble.
@@RAW-CAt I have seen it indeed. The build I have in mind for this insignia is Micro Precision 7.16 6.5" as midrange on the dash, 7.28 tweeters on A pillars, Dayton 10" slim in the passenger foot well sealed, Micro Precision 5 series mids as differential rear fill in C pillars and single 15" in true IB in the wheel well. I already have all the equipment, just trying to make sure I choose a decent car to put them on ^^

did you install them?
i am looking for something that plays good in a 0.3l sealed enclosure, i was thinking about some peerless
@@elviscaragea4433 unfortunately life has gotten in the way and I have not installed them yet.
Faital speakers were widely used in European CRT tvs. One of the reasons why they sounded so good!
That is very cool to hear, thanks for the info!😉
You got a good deal on those, Part-Express has them for $34 each.
Cool review, thanks
I use the 3fe25 in many applications. It’s very nice as well.
I'm using the GR Research LGK 3" drivers in my SUV. Stunning sound. Easily can run all the way to 20k.
My hearing is only good to 15k anyways.
Did you and Peter from PS sound good to the same school of audio? Similar skill sets and great honest advice
Unlike Peter, I didn't go to "school for audio", I am not a professional and I am not claiming to be one. I learned all of what I know in the last 3 years or so.
Great review thanks !
I'm playing the 3fe22 you should check that out too

THATS A GOOD FIND. WISH THEY WOULD FIT MY APPLICATION IN MY PILLARS BUT I WOULD HAVE TO REMAKE FIBERGLASS ENCLOSURES.
These are surprisingly compact for a 4in.

Challenge: refresh/upgrade speakers for Lexus GX470 with Mark Levinson audio. Speakers only.

Without EQ they might be bright. That depends on the aiming as well. Off axis they should be fine.
@RAW-CAt thanks for the response
damn those Satori $$$ ...
Just ordered a pair of the 3" to run in my a pillar pods, gonna try them without tweeters and see how I like them.

Do you know the model number of the 3"? There are so many models that I want to make sure that I am looking at the right one. Thanks

Oh ok. That is the one that I was looking at but I wasn't sure. Thank you much.
Check the 3fe22 Neo They play amazing
I have a spot for those!
question . have you ever tried to use acoustic absorbers on the dash to help with reflection ?
No, for some reason my dash doesn't seem to affect much🤷🏻♂️ May be different if you have drivers in A pillars.

I could fit 8s if I wanted😁 Plenty of space. For depth I could built up.
