I just traveled to Portugal this past June! Of all of the cities and countries in Europe that I've ever traveled to, it has been my favorite! I went to Porto and Lisbon as well as the Island of Madeira. Thank you so much for sharing, I loved seeing familiar places!

PLEASE make a video on why you decided to go on solo trips, tips, etc. I really am considering going on a road trip alone because no one ever wants to and life is too short! I need some advice and inspiration ✌️✌️
Hello :) that was exactly why i started solo tripping. These are my most treasured memories. I discovered what i am capable of doing. If you questions, i will answer :)
I'm here because I will be going on a holiday to Lisbon and Porto on my own in a month. As you say, coordinating with friends is not easy and therefore I have been on quite a few solo holidays. There is a lot to like about them. A few years ago I did a road trip to Paris, Bruges and Luxembourg (I'm from Southern Germany) and had a brilliant time. Getting to make all the decisions yourself is definitely cool. Most important is that you embrace going to restaurants on your own. Might feel a bit weird the first time, but you'll get over it, and you cannot miss out on all the great local food, wherever you go!
Sarah R Did you ever make it? I was planning on traveling to Portugal this summer, then C-19 altered things. I’ll be going solo, I’ve heard safety is not an issue, it looks wonderful doesn’t it?
My husband and I went there last year! Beautiful beaches and caves. Definitely need to take advantage of cheap flights from Germany. But Washington is forever my home. Also, rent mopeds people! Great way to get around & it's fun!
I have visited several countries, and I can assure you that Portuguese people are the most hospitable, pleasant, and inviting people I have ever met. utmost admiration for this nation and its lovely, loving locations.
Love this!! I grew up in a Portuguese neighborhood in the states and have had my share of pastel de nata 😉 Maybe I'll take a trip to the actual country. It's beautiful! Also loved your editing.
thebricktable Don't keep it as a maybe only and make that trip to Portugal a must :) If you go closer to the summer (avoid august too many people) take a few days to enjoy the beaches not only close to Lisbon but also in the Algarve region where Lagos city is (some of the most beautiful beaches in the world are in or close to Lagos) PS : the Pastel de Nata is traditional from Lisbon, nowadays you'll find it allover the country but my advice is to eat it there ;) Welcome to Portugal anytime

@@Kevinschart I noticed your reply to my comment from 3 years ago so I 'm really not sure anymore what this video was about and why I commented. Yes, I had a high paying job but it didn't make me happy and I know many are sitting in jobs and feeling miserable. There IS a way out and I talk about it on my UA-cam channel.
