Ive bought 3 NLR rigs (currently a GT Elite). They are all great value for money, but what has earned my loyalty is the amazing after-sales experience.
@@NextLevelRacing You are very welcome. NLR have listened to my feedback and promised to implement improvements on the wheelplate of the GT Elite. The early production model I received did not have mount holes for the newly-released Logitech G Pro, but NLR said that future shipments would have these holes drilled. Besides, drilling the hole needed (just one) was a cinch. Also, for a GT Lite rig I was giving to a friend, I was missing some ratchet bolts for the pedal plate. NLR shipped me SIX, free-of-charge. AND, their support line was always available by voice, and very polite. Great, great service :-)
Right on time from NLR. I was currently looking for a small cockpit, so I can have it in a corner of my living room, and something that my wife actually won't complain. I was thinking in the Nitro concepts S-racer for it's small factor, but this NLR, for my usage is more than enough and I'll save some buck.

Yeah I have that type of mind that suits technical work. Thanks mate, I love a nice clean look and those Jamos just it the spot for me! I also have some from the early 90's ones upstairs, D365's and D265's!
@@NextLevelRacing NO no one in his right mind likes this! And the flex gives you the Immersion like nothing else LOL :D why are you wasting resources and time on such bad products NLR? This is terrible really! Only suitable for g29 or t300 maybe.... and we know that you can make good entry lvl alu rig that will be sturdy and work great and be easier to shipp in 1 long but small box while being even cheaper than this contraption!
@@KarlGoslingCould you not fold this though? Undo the pins in the seat and it folds forward. Then undo the bolts in the “wheel stand” and it folds forwards. You could then store it away folded like that. You could also switch out the bolts in the wheel stand with winged bolts, and you don’t even need tools. Wouldn’t this work as a foldable solution?
If they had considered some folding points for easier storage this would have been an absolute winner. Watching the video it looks like sich a option wouldnt be too difficult for NLR to consider without compromising what looks the be a solid budget cockpit.
Looks neat! Hopefully they sell the seat seperate! I'm always looking for folding seats for my DIY folding wood rig. Currently using an autotechnica monza (basically playseat evo seat, flexes quite a bit) Victory seat looks quite solid considering how it folds/how thin it is. I think some people may want to point the wheelbase down for entry logitech and thrustmaster wheels that angle up a bit by default. Great review as always, cheers! Good point on serrated flanges, might save my knuckles tightening up the wheel support adjustment on my diy rig. Hopefully wood can handle it, too 😅
I have a NLR GTtrack and I absolutely love it. My son has a playseat challenge and he hates it. This looks superb and I am thinking of getting rid of the play seat and replacing it with one of these. It also looks easy to collapse down and tuck away if necessary.
@@NextLevelRacing Sorry but you made the GT track too well. It still has many years left in it. I do hope to get your motion simulator setup at some time. It's out of my budget range at the moment.
Hey karl amazing video, very helpful since you're one of the first to review it. One thing though, for people like me who don't have as much time to watch 20 minute reviews for each item I want to buy, those markings that split up the video into sections would be very helpful. otherwise, amazing, considering getting one myself!
Thanks mate! I'm not a fan of time stamps, they harm my watch statistics (this is UA-cams fault not yours/mine) so I don't use them... you can still always skip in of course.
When there’s new sim racing stuff I’m interested in - this is the first channel I come to for a trusted review, and here it is. Cheers mate. Question for you - do you think it’s worth replacing a playseat challenge with this?
Hi Karl, great video and am in market for first cockpit, i have my optikns narrowed to the next level racing gt lite pro or this new victory cockpit, if you had to choose what would you recommend. From the two videos you’ve done it looks like the victory has a better wheel deck but the gt lite pro has a better pedal deck
The GT Lite Pro is a foldable cockpit mate, this is not, if you don't it to fold then always choose a static rig like the Victory as it will be more solid.
Also, if you know a welder or better yet, can weld yourself, you could really easily up the rigidity of the frame. Just a few strips of metal in strategic places would work wonders.
How wide is it from shifter plate to the opposite side? I need something that after full build will fit through a door. Measurement would be greatly appreciated but understandable if it’s no longer up. Thank you for this amazing detailed video!!
Great review. I have a 73cm high desk, would this rig be too low for me? I was looking at the GT Omega ART as well, do you think the ART would be higher with the base adjustments?
Too low? As in your display on the desk would be too high? If so then no I think you will be fine with either mate, can also put castors on to raise either up if needed.
On the tilting mounting plate, it makes sense to me. I use a Playseat Trophy in a more reclined position akin to an inbetween formula/GT position. Wheelbases often tilt upwards naturally, so I have to tilt the plate down to get it to be straight and fit in with my more reclined seating position.
Another great review Karl, I’m already using NLR WS 2.0 with my DD Pro which is a great bit of kit but I want to have a proper seat rather than my sofa and can’t justify the £500 add on seat for how much I get to race. In your opinion should I switch to this and sell my stand or stick with what I have because it’s definitely more solid? Cheers bud keep up the quality uploads.
Difficult choice mate, if money is the limiting factor and you really want a full cockpit then perhaps do the swap yes, the flex isn't that bad in this really... but the choice is yours mate.
Karl, I am in between this chair and the new Prime lite R, can't wait on your review of the Prime , but I wonder if by not finding the seat on the Victory comfortable enough it can be switched for another model?
Only if the mounting points happen to match others seats, which I do not know the answer to. But the Prime Lite R is ally profile and can take any seat, peripherals, etc and has the customization of ally profile so if you're not worries about how it looks I'd get that.
Oh no, it dont have the stiffener tubes most of the rigs in this design have, like the diagonal tubes that strenghten the main wheel base tube. Other than that it is nice because you can detach it fast as it seems and you can fold the seat etc. Those are the points i was looking for, now i have a permanent cockpit but i keep my eyes open for a more foldable or easy detachable stable rig for typical under 10nm Wheels. I dont care about shifter mounts at all, dont use them. I also dont like the wheel base plate because the holes are not seperated for adjusting, they can potentially slip like mentioned in the video. I would buy a pro version from this rig, slightly beefed up for more money of course.
11:50 maybe it’s possible to have the wheelbase plate angled upward if the whole mounting bar could be removed from the rest of the assembly and flipped around, then have the adjustment screws face the driver instead. Either that or the wheel stand was meant to offset wheelbases like the G29 which are already set to mount at an angle by design
would this be worth it for little disassembly for easy storage in my room where i don't have enough room to store it fully assembled or would i be better off just going for a foldable cockpit
I had the NLR FGT lite and is a lot bulkier than you would expect. Even in its collapsed state. It is also a royal pain in the rear to collapse and reassemble. I think the one in the video is a better option. I am thinking of getting one for my son.
Great question! Although we have not designed it for storage, the cockpit can be split from the middle and be stored as necessary. You would need to remove a few bolts
@@KarlGosling Would be great if you did a follow up vid with these adaptions to see how it looks folded for storage. I think NLR would be mad not to include optional bolts etc if it's easily achievable as I think many people like myself with a basic folding xrocker seat etc would purchase this in a blink of an eye.
Hi Karl, I reached out to NLR support and they confirmed the Logitech Pro wheel base is not supported with this frame (to be fair it's not listed as being supported) Do you think this is because it doesn't line up with pre drilled holes or because its max is 11nm and this cockpit supports upto 10nm?
