Here’s hoping they iron out the performance issues, haven’t had too many on Ps5 yet, a few frame drops and pop in. Everything else has been really fun so far though.
I have i7-12700k, RTX 3080 with 32GB of ram and i can barely maintain 60 fps on high at 1440p resolution.. Tried first 10h on ps5 and i will purchase it on PS5 tbh. Didn’t feel as twitchy and no buggs so far. To bad it looks pretty bad. But hreat fun still!
Was looking forward to this game but the trial was a stuttery mess that couldnt hold 60fps with modest settings on an RTX3080. Will look into it again down the road when the game is on sale and the performance issues have been ironed out.
I wasn’t sure if I’d like this game but after watching a bunch of content on it and playing the demo I do like the game and I think it has potential. After completing the demo and reaching the end of the story segment I found myself wanting more and wanting to continue playing. I’m not sure if i’ll buy this game right away at launch but i’m definitely interested in picking it up at some point because I did have fun with it and some of the weapons are satisfying to use. I do have a couple complaints about the game namely the visuals don’t look very good on xbox series S, I had to immediately turn off motion blur because in the intro the game looked terrible when it was snowing. When I turned blur off it looked better but the textures can still be kinda flat. I also have some complaints about one of the weapons but i’m willing to look passed it for now because I do like the game
I noticed among the 8 weapon types there isn't really anything, like defensive? nothing with a shield for example (like MH sword and shield or lances). Is that because defensive/blocking abilities are in the karakuri system? Also, this isn't Koei Tecmo/Omega Force's first endeavor in the monster hunter genre. They created the Toukiden franchise which was quite popular in Japan but couldn't really break through substantially in the west... Much like Monster Hunter struggled until World. Wild Hearts is their plan to ride on World's success, and it looks like it can.
yeah i think bc the Karakuri are supposed to be the defensive system, the umbrella does have a sort of parry system, so that's the closest thing i think
it's not really fair to say its their first step into the genre when the team behind the game has been making monhun clones (Toukiden) since 2013, there's a strange narrative going around that this is "EA's monster hunter" which doesn't make sense to me
Is the playstyle of each weapon unique like monster hunter ? I mean in MH longsword has good counter or hammer can stun monster easily. Is WH just like Hack n Slash until 0 hp and finish with final move ?
From what I've been seeing each weapon builds/focus' on different end games, katanas want to attack so they can bankai it up with the whip blade, Wagasa likes to Parry God, Claw Blades is basically just Attack on Titan etc. though the pne I' looking forward to is the Staff
unfortunately 99% of modern titles are, that's just going to be the case these days. I 100% agree that it's ridiculous, but that's the climate we're in right now. My policy on video games is if I pay $70, I expect 70 hours of gameplay at a minimum, and this game will satisfy that for sure!
supposed to be a new patch next week, I'd keep an eye on it til then and that should fix the PC performance! it's super fun anyway, but the performance fix will really make this great :D
Overall look fun with some rough edges, combat a bit floaty, janky and too much AoE attacks from both player and monsters, it look cool but doesn't really feel satisfying as you can pull off them like nothing, feel a bit like MMO (BDO) combat tho.
Combat feels much much better than monster hunter. The camera angle was weird starting off. Only took me about 10 min to get used to it. But I highly recommend playing the game for yourself. I’m a MH veteran, but I’d pick this game 11 times out of 10
@@wolfsajin to each other opinion - you may like how it have cool movesets that easy to lean and spam like that more, I played God Eater and it got a bit similar to this game with more accessible and flashy. I love the feel of combat in MH, it starts janky, slow, you're clunky, slow and weak, you don't do those super power moves, but once master it, it feel so right so satisfying to pull of - like timming the tip of your blade that hit to the weak point of the monster while chaining your moves. Only MHRise recently that got close to this game in term of flashy combat, but it still feel so great with great smooth flow and flashy moves of both hunter&monsters feel really powerful, impactful
Also I mentioned the roughness of it - if you played Toukiden on PS Vita, you'll understand, this has visual look of new gen AAA games, but it feel like the Toukiden from PS handheld era. Some attacks doesn't feel right when it collide with the monster - especially huge ones, although earch shaken, ground broken, all the visual effects, I don't feel the impactful clashing on monster, so I said it's floaty like MMO.
After my time with the trial I will await a performance boost before I buy, worst performing game in my collection of thousands, even tarkov and MSFS run a lot better.
they dropped a new patch yesterday while I was making the review, SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER performance on PC already. it runs fine, just needs a little more polish on the performance end
so should 90% of games these days, unfortunately the era we live in everything is $70. Hell even new switch games are $70, no way those should be more than $25 xD I agree but not much we can do

yeah I have a gtx 1660S and ryzen 5 3600 hope it'll be able to run this at least on medium.

Looks awesome! Loved the dauntless mention
you know it bro!
Good video. This isn't koei's "first step" into the genre since they made the toukiden games, which were good IMO.
i've been hearing about that a lot, i've not personally heard of them, but i've heard good things! solid game tho, 100%

Nioh 2 hunter...I love the game. Character creation is straight out of nioh

Cool. Definitely picking this game up then.
You should! Just finished the story, unreal game. I'd say worth it 100%
my only issue with this game is its base game price $60+ :(

@@LordViettner thanks for the insight! I will wait for them to fix the performance issues since imma play on pc. i really want to play this game

Currently, what do you rate the game out of 10?
7, the devs announced a new patch coming soon that will increase performance, if they get that right and continue to support the game, easy 8-8.5 IMO
Nice you really did it :D
I'm tryna justify paying $70 so I'm watching this video about 10 times lol
I just finished the full story, would recommend 100%
@@LordViettner say no more brother, I trust your word after my sn850x is delivered and installed in my laptop I'm downloading WH immediately after
It's either Wild Hearts or Atomic Heart for me this month, hmmm.. or I could go for EA play to play 10 hours first..
Just finished the story, incredible. I'd recommend it 100%
both are free with game pass ultimate , Ea play included with ultimate
the monsters look good but the landscape looks like you just clipped through the area. like the dirt looks bland and lacking texture.
that's due to the low graphics setting bc of the performance issues, on high graphics its pretty good, just hard to run that rn
They made other monster like games before
so i've been told 10x in the comments already, Toukiden or something like that, for like PS3
After my time with the trial I will await a performance boost before I buy, worst performing game in my collection of thousands, even tarkov and MSFS run a lot better.

PC, but the game is available on PS and Xbox as well

Is there no 40FPS 120hz mode? 60FPS with 1080p? That would be the reason that i will not buy it.
Yes you can limit it to 60 fps at 1080p. That's what I'm doing until performance patches.
@@YoraiDragon thanx, i will Never Play a Game in 1080p in 2023.
