Dragster Chassis Building - Fabricating Front Engine Mounts

Back at Jimmy's shop, we have been going gang busters working on our nostalgia front engine dragster called "Jumping Jack Flash". The 4130 chromoly chassis fabrication went very well, all the new tubes are tacked into place. We have been working on all the small things that take a lot of time that are often overlooked.
We reached a point where we need to fabricate the front engine mounts and the rear engine plate. I ordered a 26"x26" piece of 1/4" aluminum for this task. In order to get this right, we have to make sure the engine, transmission. coupler, and pinion are perfectly inline, which we cover in this video. This video we go over the process of making the front engine mounts from scratch. Yes, we could buy them, but we are on a budget and take pride in fabricating our own parts, even if it is hard work.
