SWAMPY: We will always try to fix something if we can vaguely see a way. It's already broken so why not dismantle if not to just see how it works? Hopefully we can inspire so curiosity in others to... Do you have anything you ard proud of not throwing away, Mark?
I agree but what if the other side of the gizmo fails due to age? It's not the £120 it's the hard labor.... I would rather change that damn thing and have a beer later.
Always a risk I guess, but car electronics tend to be fairly resilient as long as they don’t get 19volts blasted through them. If I were a professional mechanic doing a job for someone else, I’d definitely be recommending a new replacement part. Our labour is, to all intents and purposes, free, we like learning how stuff works and giving it a go and it was my own private car so it was definitely worth a (successful) try. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers! (Scotty)
Nice fixes guys, its good to see you keep a part rather than just change it.
And it helped me to keep the contents of my wallet 🙂 Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers!
